Nice Sound! I really love my ada mp1. It's the best sound that i could ever get. Which version of the poweramp do you have? I have the chance to get the 100 watt version but i don't know if it can keep up with a very loud drummer.
The MP1 and Freidman BE-OD is in my opinion the two best brown sounds you presented... In my ear the EVH Brown Sound has less gain, compression and more mids... It has a better string separation and harmonics.. Close to what you have with the ADA-MP1... If you can get your hands on a Freidman BE-100 you definitely can nail the brown sound!.. Thanks for the great vids brother keep them coming!....
Matt LeBlanc hey bud! Typically for me was close to this Gain 1 at 5.5 Gain 2 at 7.0 Bass 4 Mids -4 Treble at -4, presence +4 maybe 6 Distortion channel... If your live your might bring the mids up to -2 and the highs up a number or two. But it's going to vary some, but that should get you close.
You turn it to at least volume 9 to get power tube OD and that's the real brown sound where blues rock notes work well ! High gain crunch is this video is about , but hey the myth of brown sound lives in minds ! My Laney VC30 cranked to about 8.5 volume clipped the highs some and was fantastic sounding like a Vox CC2 cranked as the el84 tubes began breaking up some ! It had a completely different voice then !
Too much gain and a bit mid heavy, but I like the ADA .
Too much gain ? go play country then !

Forest93 should have no problem with the 100 keeping up. I never had a problem
big ada head here, have you tried the 3tube mod version? Superb !
Thats NOT the brown sound its not even close.

I agree...more mids! Live the MP1 would sound much more like VH1 than any other amp I owned.
wow look at all the marshals😍😍😍😍😂
I have that same guitar. 😉
ITs there in the mids. Needs a bottom boost and top needs a sheen.
Song slam dunk
This is really good sounding!
Ever you ever tried to achieve the 5150 album tone? It sounds a lot like a preamp like this
Mind sharing your ADA gain and Eq settings?
