great video :) but I have 1 question for you . It´s about polarizer filter , because in first video I saw better collors in video without polarizer . In second video I can´t see any difference beetwen then and the last one when you filming beetwen trees there was big different in colour for polarizer . So my question is that propably polarizer give you better colours when you filming space where isn´t so much light ?
Hello! thanks for sharing !! Nice video excellent tips. Which mount did you use in the video for the LumeCubes?? thanks!!!! and also have you ever test the Zhiyun Z1 Evolution gimbal ? how it compares against karma grip??
Thanks for your posts I got my gopro 5 today never used one I am old starting using 35mm 1970 now will try this will be ordering your book so you now have a new old student great work thanks
Bene, I'm so glad you found my channel and are ordering a book! Both resources will be a big help to master your new GoPro. I also started out on film, using 35mm slides for travel and water photography, and often reminisce about the "film days". I'm glad to have an experienced photographer on board! Thanks for watching and reading!
Great vid. In the clip where you were side lighting the van, it looks as though the scene has some very slight panning in it, perhaps moving slightly right? was there? Secondly, what were your settings for the time lapse of the clouds? Very well done.
Cool accessories, I have the grip and I am going to buy the filter, but any suggestion for software or app to edit the captured videos in pc or laptop?
Hi Steve, Sorry for the slow response. Unfortunately, GoPro doesn't have any plans on updating the Karma Grip for the Hero 8. I really wish they would make them compatible!!!
Thanks for this Video, it helps a lot. The Polarizer filer link in the description takes to ND filter. your said both are different. Can you share the other link.
Hi Umesh. The Sandmarc Polarizer must be sold out on Amazon because the listing is down. I'll look into it and let you know when the link is updated. Sandmarc's website still shows it as being available through their site.
There are quite a few ways you can mount your GoPro inside a car, but I like to use the Suction Cup on the inside of the windshield. Mount the camera on the Suction Cup so it hangs down from the mount and get it as close as possible to the glass to prevent glare from the windshield.
hi there - can u PLZ make a detailed video on how to timelapse a cloudy day preferably from day-night, as well as how to use protune/ISO, other light/color balance settings in this situation?? i cant find anything else on youtube thats close to what im looking for, and its like 90% cloudy all year long where i live..........besides, i asked u since ur channel is so far the best in my opinion. Thx!! btw i subbed/liked
thanks for this excellent video. question: the Sandmarc Polarizer Filter on Amazon is unavailable and no one knows when it'll become available. i've got a trip coming up and was hoping to get at least a similar product that is just as good. any recommendation?
I've also used the PolarPro Polarizer (there is a link in the description below). It's not a circular polarizer, which is one of the drawbacks, but it still reduces glare and improves video quality in harsh lighting. Just be careful with it because that one cracks easily.
thank you very much for a quick reply; btw, when i clicked your link to amazon's site, it was then i realized what a guru you are regarding these GoPro cameras! damn, you've written extensively on all the models! thx for helping us newbies without a hint of condescension!
Thanks so much for the compliment! It's been so much fun helping people learn how to use their GoPro cameras. When I wrote my first book (on the HERO and HERO2) and started producing these videos, I just wanted to help people figure out these cameras. I never imagined where it would go (and how many books I would write). Thanks again! Have a great trip!!!
great video, I have ND filters for my hero 5 & 6 that I also use with my karma, would you suggest that a polarising filter would work better or should I stick to the ND filters ?
Thanks for watching Lee! Both types of filters work well for different situations. Go with the polarizer in bright daylight (harsh lighting) or when you are filming water for reduced glare. The ND filters can be used as a standard filter for slower shutter speeds whenever you don't think the polarizer is needed.
@@relocatetoEUROPE An android cable is not a USB-C cable. You might have one if you have a MacBook. They sell USB-C cables on Amazon. They even have a amazon basics version that is cheap.
Thank you for sharing! I’ve been doing you tube videos with my iPhone and Samsung phones, time to upgrade ! Losing my ad revenue has motivated me to get better equipment and work on my camera presence .i sold some old atvs I wasn’t using and am buying a go pro ,gimbal and lights this week.....need all the help I can get....
Hab selbst die GoPro Hero5 Black und muss sagen ich bin sehr zufrieden. Hätte auch den KarmaGrip, hab ihn jedoch wieder verkauft, da ich den von der Firma Rollei besser finde. Danke fürs Vorstellen
The gimbal stabilizes the footage so you don't need the in-camera stabilization. In-camera stabilization is only available on certain settings, so without it, you can use the best video settings available for your camera.
The Lume Cubes are not that great, they are mostly used by newbies only. You can get flashlights with 1/4" mounting threads that are 10x brighter than Lume Cube and don't take up much more space
Hey! Great video. Got most of these accessories. Where can I get the girl running through the jungle? Checked Amazon, no go...
Hugo Fonseca lol.
I got mine on Craig's list.
Can you sub to coolguy10
Pls sub to him
What video settings/frame rates did you use on the GoPro along with the accessories?
Can you suggest an audio mic?
How's the stabilizer in Hero 10? Still need for a Karma grip?
great video :) but I have 1 question for you . It´s about polarizer filter , because in first video I saw better collors in video without polarizer . Nice video. Great tips, thanks.
Very good choices , but do I need gamble with GoPro 7 black ? Is it better to have silver with gimbals or black without
Personally I'd rather gust get the 7 black there's less effort and it's quicker but gimbals are still better not by much though
Do these work with the Hero7 Black and if so how well? Thank you!
Nice Video! Will the polarizer filter in the description go with Hero 7 Black?
Yes, it will also fit the Hero 7 Black.

HowToUsePOVcameras no roble just got to learn it all again ha ha
Nice video! Do you also use ND filters or primary Polarizer? And which ND filters would you recommend for the new GoPro Hero 7?
Great vid. In the clip where you were side lighting the van, it looks as though the scene has some very slight panning in it, perhaps moving slightly right? was there?
Secondly, what were your settings for the time lapse of the clouds?
Very well done.
Can't find info on lumecube, what CRI rating it has, or if I can choose different Kelvins. Better to make your own..
very nice view brother
Greatly appreciate the videos you share and I’ll be getting them other accessories
I have been using your book for my GoPro Hero 4 black. It helps so much!
Hey Shawn, happy to hear the book is helping you out!! Thanks for watching and for writing.
Where did you take these shots? That place is beautiful!!
Thanks so much! I filmed this in Maui, Hawaii.
Karma not needed with hero 9?
Great tutorial... nice video production...!
Thank you so much. Big Help
You're welcome. Thanks for commenting!
really appreciate it! coming from Guam
Cool accessories, I have the grip and I am going to buy the filter, but any suggestion for software or app to edit the captured videos in pc or laptop?
DaVinci resolve is great and cheap. You can also colour correct in the app
how did you use the lime cubes with the GoPro connected to the karma grip?
Lume sorry
Hello! Thx for awesome video. Do u recommend Karma grip or G6? :-) cant find any comparsion video yet :(
Thanks for the suggestions
Well the Karma grip ever be available for the GoPro 8
Hi Steve,
Sorry for the slow response. Unfortunately, GoPro doesn't have any plans on updating the Karma Grip for the Hero 8. I really wish they would make them compatible!!!
Will the lumecube fit the karma? Or G6?
Thanks for great tutorial. Is your book available at Play Store?
You are welcome and thanks for watching! Yes, my books are available through Google Play.
Looks like Olowalu over by Lahaina, Maui and maybe Big Beach?
great accessories indeed! thanks!

Excellent video, thanks heaps. Keep up the great work Jordan.
Thanks Adrian. I appreciate the comment :)
were most of the water parts bermuda or no
Thanks for the awesome review, mate lovin it
By far this is my favorite GoPro video. Too bad the Sandmarc Polarizer is currently sold out. Looks like a MUST.
Do you have any recommendations for a car mount for inside the car. Either for the dash or on the windshield on the inside?
There are quite a few ways you can mount your GoPro inside a car, but I like to use the Suction Cup on the inside of the windshield. Mount the camera on the Suction Cup so it hangs down from the mount and get it as close as possible to the glass to prevent glare from the windshield.
HowToUsePOVcameras ok thanks. Does the brand matter or is it as long as it can be manoeuvred angle wise to what I need / want
Great video. Awesome accessories for sure.
Thanks for the comment!
Thank you,
I imediately purchased your hero 6 black book on kindle after this.
thanks for sharing the information.. very useful
You are very welcome!
a mini stabalizer for motorcycles would be cool. oh i need that light for night fishing golf courses lol and for night fishing...
Kool
Great video. I bought your book on Amazon. I bought my GoPro HERO 6 specifically for SCUBA diving.
Are there any gimbals available for SCUBA diving?
I’m his brother
Great video man. Thanks.
You are welcome. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the great content!

Lost my charging cable GoPro 6. How do I find one? is is it compatible with other USB cables
Yes, any USB-C cable will work. You can get a new one online.
My Android phone cable doesn't fit in the port. I've ordered a new cable for the GoPro but have to wait for it. Wondered which phone cable would fit?
@@relocatetoEUROPE An android cable is not a USB-C cable. You might have one if you have a MacBook. They sell USB-C cables on Amazon. They even have a amazon basics version that is cheap.

Those are 3 features that impact most videos...these are good solutions that don't take a lot of space when traveling lightly
Thanks for watching and I'm happy to hear that you appreciate the solutions to some common video problems!
I liked the open the door pun...
Thanks- gotta throw a pun in there now and then ;)
When the grip costs just like a new GoPro.
Gracias
De nada!

Nice! Quality filming equipment makes a world of difference. Good luck with the upgrades and hope your videos get a lot of views!

Was ich zu bemängeln habe ist Definitiv das eingebaute Mikrofon! Zum Glück kann man ein externes Anbauen
Nice man thanks for sharing
You are welcome. Thanks for watching!
1:05 why we dont really need to turn on camera stabilization when we r using a gimbal?
The gimbal stabilizes the footage so you don't need the in-camera stabilization. In-camera stabilization is only available on certain settings, so without it, you can use the best video settings available for your camera.
FANTASTIC
Thanks! I love positivity in all caps!!!
Great❤
your video trigger me to buy karma grip! TQ
Why do you need a gimbal when go pro 8 has a rock steady mode
This video was made when the Hero 6 Black came out, before the HyperSmooth stabilization was introduced.
Nice information
Thanx, useful
you used the gh5
The G5 gimbal or the Panasonic GH5 camera? All of the gimbal footage was filmed using the Karma Grip.
HowToUsePOVcameras sorry I worded that wrong. I meant to ask if you used the go pro hero 5?
No worries! I used the Hero 6 Black for most of the shots. The polarizer comparisons were shot on the Hero 5 Black.
Great video
Awsome video!
Thanks!!!!
So cool
Thanks!
Nice Vanagon @ 3:26 :-)
Thanks!
Thank you...
You are welcome!
You dont need a gimbal on hero7black

Thanks for the input! There are always lots of options out there. I love the Lume Cubes, but it's all personal preference.
Drawback to the Karma grip is the battery
hey.... did you ever catch the girl?! Joke apart, many thanks for sharing that video, well done :)
I never did catch her- she disappeared into the jungle, but I keep hoping she will come out again. She's like a puma. Thanks for watching!
dude where do you live... beautiful :)
I live in Hawaii, and yes, I appreciate the beauty every day!
3:45 rare underwater rooster? :D
Haha- yeah unfortunately their numbers are on the rise!
Hello. Brother
Yes brother- thanks for checking out the video!
Hey it’s chidi your brother
Hey Chidi, Happy birthday brother! Good to see you the other day!
at 45 seconds I spy a Volkswagen Vanagon?
It sure is- an '89! You can get a better view at 3:26.
I CAN'T BELIEVE you missed including an AUDIO MIC... basic in my opinion
I think that is default thought by now, every creature on earth knows about it :)
It´ll be fun, when the gopro shows up on my computer...
Looks like you live in Hawaii
Lol thx for the vid I am getting one on Christmas I am starting a youtube channel /like if your getting one
Best Gopro accessory: half naked girl running away from you!
Always a bonus, but it's even better when she runs towards you!
Why are chasing that poor hula girl? Leave her alone.
if ur trying to be funny or something, it really worked on me lol
All way too expensive unless you rly dive into this kinda stuff as a hobby or for work.
Is the karma grip compatible with the DJI osmo action?
I don't use the DJI camera, but I seriously doubt it.
