First time to watch avideo in ueb online
Thank you for posting...
Thanks for leaving a comment. It's nice knowing that folks are watching my videos.
Thank you!
You're welcome. I'm glad you found it helpful.
For some reason I prefer typing in Braille rather than print. But I think that is because I have really short pinkies and I only need my three longer fingers. It takes less time and is easier.
I'm learning Braille transcription and just finished the 3rd UEBOnline lesson this morning. I'm enjoying it so much - I'm also working towards Library of Congress certification in Braille transcription and found UEBOnline is a great resource for practicing!
That's great that you're working on the LOC cert! Which lesson are you on?
@@brailleadventures I just finished lesson one of the LOC cert and am moving onto lesson 2. I was an audio transcriptionist for years, so picking it up has been pretty easy, it's just a matter of getting my fingers used to typing with the six-key system instead of a full keyboard and learning the shorthand now!
You've been so incredibly helpful in these videos, what made you want to do this UA-cam channel to help others? I appreciate you!
Thank you for your feedback! I launched this channel with the aim of crafting the kind of videos I yearned for when I first got into braille. I keep making videos because I adore braille!
you didn't mention latched mode which uses a standard keyboard but allows use of only one hand. It is called Latch mode. You still need to type the s d f and j k l keys, but not simultaneously now. One thing to note, at the moment this mode only works in Visual Mode.
That is a great suggestion! That you for pointing out that feature.
@@brailleadventures I feel like stroke/cerebral palsy/limb difference people get told sorry braille isnt for you because the perkins keyboard needs two hands/reading braille and thats not true there is unimanual(1 handed) perkins keyboard options for alot of different ways inputing braille
thanks for replying @brailleadventures
