    All the evidence against him was questionable. It didn't prove his guilt beyond reasonable doubt. All the evidence led during the court proceedings does not prove he's the right guy. His DNA was never found inside the house even though there was quite a lot of DNA found inside the house even fingerprints, which didn't match the deceased and her husband, but it also didn't match the accused, now that doubt alone is grounds enough for no conviction.
    He might have sold the laptop, but he said he got it from the ex-girlfriend, and it's quite possible if you consider the type of work she was involved in. The other belongings I'd be dishonest if I said it didn't shock me how they were found a year after the incident still sitting in his grandfather's car, seems to me that they were planted there to say the least because man, how convenient? What are the odds? Then, add that questionable chain of custody of the evidence, the most questionable witnesses with ulterior motives, and you can't claim because they said something that was not publicized, then they're reliable because you were not there, you don't know what they were told by the investigating officers. This to me sounds like a crime of passion more than a robbery gone wrong, the number of times she was stabbed is consistent with that theory, and the perpetrator might have been known to the victim. The crime might have been committed by someone very close to the victim. But the law enforcement needed, a scapegoat or a closure to the case, and who better to target if not a Mr Williams with a long list of felonies. This was a miscarriage of justice than anything. I mean the whole justice system depended solely on questionable informants' account of the events, and some questionable circumstantial evidence to secure its conviction...man that's very, very bad if you ask me.

    Marcellus was given over two decades of unsuccessful appeals. In addition, the United States Supreme Court saw no reason to stop his sentence from being carried out.
    How many more decades should he have been given? He wasn’t sentenced to life in prison. He was sentenced to death. Your opinion doesn’t trump the laws passed by our legislature.
    Lisha Gayle has finally gotten the justice she deserves. She was murdered in her home, stabbed 43 times, by Marcellus Williams, an unemployed career criminal.

    • @nolipgloss1343
      @nolipgloss1343 Місяць тому +2

      The purpose of an appeal is to identify errors at trial. Each appeal is to allow the higher court to review the lower court’s decision and if a fair trial took place. It is disingenuous to hold multiple appeals against the person who is exercising their right to do so. Everyone deserves to have all grievances with their trial addressed to ensure they recieved a fair trial. He should have never received the death penalty on a conviction based on circumstantial evidence and hearsay. In an appeal you do not have to prove you are innocent, just that the court made an error and/or new evidence has been discovered. Granting an appeal sends the defendant back to lower court for a retrial. Ms. Gayle did not receive justice when there is reasonable doubt as to if he murdered her.
