- Brother Marcellus Williams was executed on September 24th, 2024, despite evidence that supported his innocence. We ask Allah SWT to grant him Jannah and his family patience.

1.5 mil signatures petition against his execution were gathered, but didnt change the court decision. Amazed by his son's interview, who decided to be with his Father in the execution. He declared that truly beleive that his Father is innocent. No evidences were proven as well. It is shocking. May Allah grant peace to his family. Marcellius William is a martyr.

This is why it questions me if petitions or protests even work. It causes noise but ultimately the decision is already made and they don't give a s*** about anyone else
Just like protests around genocide in Gaza. It does not make any difference. The select few make decisions for millions.
At the very least, it puts more eyes on the situation so there's more witnesses, more prayers, more awareness of who's in the wrong.
The Prophet PBUH said (and the words in brackets are mine): Whoever among you sees evil, let him change it with his hand (ie take action). If he cannot, then with his tongue (speak out against it). If he cannot, then with his heart (at least know that it's wrong and condemn it internally), and that is the weakest of faith.
