Greetings Darko, I have a TCL C745, it's an amazing TV but when I enable VRR on PS5 there is a serious inverse ghosting issue, it goes away when I turn VRR off on PS5. GameMaster in my TV is an upgraded version from this one you have and ALLM is on by default when enabling VRR and can't be turned off, some said turning ALLm OFF will remove that annoying inverse ghosting effect. Many people are complaining about this issue and it happened to many brands, some say any TV with AV Panel. Can you please double check on your TV if it's affecting your TVs as well and if disabling ALLM really works. Thank you in advance.
I haven't tested C745 TV, but was informed that the issue could be caused due to a specific VRR implementation on PS5. They use they own implementation. Apparently, there are no such issues on Xbox and PC.
Whats Inverse Ghosting? Is it the screen will go Bright then suddenly changes in a bluish brightness every minute? Is that it? Because its happening to me while VRR in on. Did you fix it already?

Nice video! Just wanted to comment in hopes of helping any other PC users that may have come here trying to achieve 120hz (Im using port 2) with an AMD card like myself. I just banged my head against the wall trying every setting under the sun until I realized that the problem was AMD Freesync. This TV supports that and thus it is automatically enabled in the AMD Adrenalin Software. I knew this but refused to believe it was the cause. After changing every setting in the TV multiple times and going back to the Display Settings and checking refresh rate to no avail. Sure enough, I disabled Freesync in the AMD software and with the TV still in "Game Master" set to Auto, I was able to choose 120hz in Display Settings/Advanced Display. I am now running at 3840x2160@120hz on PC. TLDR: If you have an AMD card on PC, disable Freesync to achieve 120hz (port 2) with this TV. I assume Port 1 would allow 144hz by doing this but I am too lazy to check and have the PS5 currently in that port lol. Hope this helps someone!
Really? I can reach 120Hz without disabling Gsync on my PC's GPU. But TV's Game Master feature is still always disabled. I will have to try disabling Gsync then on my PC to check whether I can actually reach the advertised 144 Hz (HDMI Port 1).
Nope, I cannot reach 144Hz VRR even on HDMI Port 1. Furthermore, Game Master mode CANNOT be activated on PC. I haven't tried any video game console as I don't use one.
@@rendcycle hey sorry I guess it’s different for everyone idk. You said Gsync in your previous reply, do you have Nvidia? That stuff worked for me with an AMD card. Hope you can figure it out! Edit: Also I couldn’t reach 144hz either only 120.

have this same kind of tv + ps5. the problem is when i turned on vrr and allm. every time i open or close the game No signal appearing on the screen for about 1-3seconds
thats from the singal update that occurs ps5 doesn't nativly stay in an output reslution or vrr mode its based on the game so various games will have the tv "shut off " update the signal with new info based on the game, xbox as you can more control the system settings and some samsung / lg tv's will avoid it if i remember correctly due to how their hdmi reads info on higher end models only way to avoid it is with vrr and allm always off and some games never using 120 hz mode if its only for specfic things like destiny 2 120 hz mode works only in its pvp so it does the signal black out with the ps5 to update the signal properly.

I have a question, if we activate the hgig we can't activate the dynamic tone mapping (HDR) so the HDR is not activated, do we need to activate it on the ps5 even if we can't activate it on the TV settings
And why when I switch on the dynamic tone mapping on the TV the pictures seams dark but if I activate it only on the ps5 the picture is normal. I don't see anyone else that have the same problem. The good way is to activate the HDR on the ps5, activate the hgig but don't activate the HDR on the TV ?
HGiG is only available for HDR signals and since it will avoid double tone mapping, clearly Dynamic Tone Mapping function is disabled. DTM depends on the source and usually makes image brighter, but on some scenes it can actually make it darker.
@@TVguyDarko thank you but I saw that the problem was that the TV don't have a lot of nits that can impact the picture, the picture is dark all the time even when it shouldn't.
Great, thanks for sharing!

This is importent, In this tv u have 2 ways to go to the settings from the remote, home button and settings. I write obout this later.
Next step
When u switch on ps5, go to the settings in menu ps5, then go to video and screen, then, then go to vrr and change for automatic and the others should be automatic. Then go to Information about video out, u should see, the vrr is on from 48 to 120 hz. Thats all for ps5, now settings in tv.
When your ps5 is on and u see on the screen, press on the tv remote settings button , this on under the "red power". Dont press the home button, beacouse u have to setting from the level ps5 screen. Next everythong is in the short movie about vrr this with the spiderman.
..in the settings, go to main settings, go to "chanel and inputs", then go to inputs, then turn On High Standart hdmi.
Then earc should be On
Automatic low input lag, On
Vrr ON.
Then go to
System
And find game master, if u like u can change it ON
P.s.
Switch off the shop mode.
Go to system, then advance video settings, then switch off the automatc shop mode.
Thats all.
Brigtness, color, and saturation u can change for your eye in the settings, then, screen and sound, then screen, then advance video settings.

thats from the singal update that occurs ps5 doesn't nativly stay in an output reslution or vrr mode its based on the game so various games will have the tv "shut off " update the signal with new info based on the game, xbox as you can more control the system settings and some samsung / lg tv's will avoid it if i remember correctly due to how their hdmi reads info on higher end models only way to avoid it is with vrr and allm always off and some games never using 120 hz mode if its only for specfic things like destiny 2 120 hz mode works only in its pvp so it does the signal black out with the ps5 to update the signal properly.

1. I installed new original non-activated Win 10 OS with Internet access.
2. then enable VRR on TCL
3. then enable G-Sync for TCL in Nvidia Control Panel
4. then in CRU will apear DisplayID 1.3 - it's says TCL can work on 144HZ (it's also appear even with new\actual driver)
5. then like forum's guys said i try to install 537.58 nvidia driver - it won't install because it's for older GPU, then 545.84 - same thing. Oldest driver for my 4070 Super is - 546.65 - i installed it with "clean instalation".
6. No 144hz appear in nvidia control panel or windows as-is
7. I try change resolution and Hz in nvidia control panel, 144hz with manual corrections from information in CRU DisplayID 1.3. - won't work, it will write "successfully apply" but don't work and don't apear anywere.
8. Like guys in forum said "Attention!!! 537.58 is the latest driver that works stably at 144Hz, after updating 545.84 you can only get 143Hz (if the mode does not work, do a clean installation of the driver)", I try 143Hz - and it's work with manual corrections from information in CRU DisplayID 1.3.
9. TCL write it's work on 144Hz, Windows and nvidia control panel will write 143Hz, but who cares.
BUT
I don't want use old nvidia driver 546.65 (it's launch driver, it's may contain a lot of bugs), I guess I must or contact TCL or Nvidia about that problem so they fixed it on new\actual drivers. So, and there is a problem, I'm from Russia, and I don't think they will be in contacting with me (I guess because of what happening in the world?). 4. then in CRU will apear DisplayID 1.3 - it's says TCL can work on 144HZ (it's also appear even with new\actual driver)
5. then like forum's guys said i try to install 537.58 nvidia driver - it won't install because it's for older GPU, then 545.84 - same thing.
@@TVguyDarko UA-cam doesn’t allow long comments, so I’ll write briefly:
I managed to enable this, but only on the oldest driver of my video card + setting in the nvidia control panel
Hvala!❤
Thats Word for 120hz but my ps5 not reach 4k
Which TV do you have?
@@TVguyDarko Tcl 55c635
hey man, i just got the c835 for the ps5 and couldn't get 120fps even after enabling it from the TV and the PS. It is showing UHD 60 FPS only, using the original hdmi cable on the first port (4k@144hz)
Hey, which game did you try? The game must support 120 Hz.
@@TVguyDarko fifa 23, tried spiderman then it went to 120 but right after closing the game it comes back to 60fps on the ps5 menu, also the screen is losing connection whenever launching any game or quiting it idk why? theres is a delay for like 1-2sec maybe because of fps change?
@@themountain6437 Disable fast start on the TV and it will work. Had the same problem and once i restarted the TV by unplugging the powercord it worked. So i found the fast start option and disabled it and now it works every time on every game. I sent an e-mail tp TCL about this months ago but nerver got a response. My guess is that when the TV just goes into standby when you shut it off every day, it breaks the ALLM and VRR detection. So by having it actully power off and restart correctly it fixes it.
Thanksssss
Thanks for watching!
Hiii can you get 144hz on your PC ? idk why it only show 120hz is the maximum (I'm using 2.1 4k 144hz cable connected to 3070 )
please let me know if you know thanks ... also do you get glitchy or blackout problems from your HDMI ? its like it HDMI turn off and on again sometimes I have same TV C735
What will you gain from having 24hz more ?😅

I noticed the game master option is deactivated when you turn on the tv I think that game master and for pc on ps5 it's automatic is that right? thank you for your reply
Hey Mickael - yes, I also did notice Game master not being available every time, but you can anyway adjust all important options through other menus.

Hello Darko , Thankyou for the detailed video which i followed all of your steps and found out that it normally runs on 60FPS. However; when i login to COD VANGUARD it automatically switcches to 120fps. It depends on game as well. normally it runs on 60FPS. 😀

Fahad
Thanks Fahad - yes, it will work at 60 or 120 Hz depending on the input signal.
@@TVguyDarko In 120 Hz mode with VRR activated, the picture settings such as dynamic contrast and so on no longer work and the picture looks washed out compared to 60 Hertz mode. does anyone have any tips on how to change this?

Hi guys. I just got the C735 today and connected it via HDMI 2.1 to my PC running an RTX2080S, but i cant seem to set it higher than 60hz at 4k. Any ideas?
120hz only available on HDMI ports 1 or 2
@@WiiNV i already tried both, cant get it to run higher than 60hz 4k. Running windows 10 64bit.
I don’t think an RTX 2080S has HMDI 2.1 support…. But you might be able to buy an adapter that converts the usb c / displayport signal into HMDI 2.1 if you want 4k 120hz. But it might also just be a good idea to upgrade your GPU if you want to game at 4k 120fps.
@@notoriouspomegranate5612 i checked and you are right about my 2080S only has support up to hdmi 2.0 and should be the main culprit of why i cannot go higher than 60hz at 4k. Sadly, my Zotac 2080S amp extreme does not have usb-c port. My only hope seems to be to get a good dp 1.4 to hdmi 2.1 adapter/cable, otherwise i would only have to go upgrade my graphics card. BUT I have seen someone else not being able to get 4k higher than 60hz although his 3060ti does have hdmi 2.1 support.
I have just upgraded to an RTX 4070 TI and that has fixed the problem, i can now use 4k 120hz. Thanks so much @notorious pomegranate

Your videos are great, but at 1.5 speed. Can't even notice it's speed up, mby try that by default :)
Well, some say they are too fast, some that they are too slow. Good thing that UA-cam give you this control so everyone can adjust it as they like.
