Loaded 24' Autobiography was my choice. Full luxury options and amazing ride. I had 2 RR's for the last 18 years with no major problems. I hope my streak continues!!
Wow I guess you've been very lucky. I had a friend with an hse who the dealership asked them to spend about 20k approx on within a 1.5year long ownership period. Was purchased used with about 40k kms on it. Early 2010s (3yr old at time of purchase)
@@tariqs2072 Agreed. Had one on a lease and under warranty, always in the shop for the most ridiculous things. Folks always say these "luxury" brands have complex systems making it more susceptible to repairs, yet somehow it was the most basic items needed constant repairs, from key fobs, headlights burning out, air suspension issues, navigation/infotainment freezing/lagging, all items that are on non luxury cars that don't break. It was an amazing day the day I picked it up new at the dealer, and an ever better day when the lease was over and I dropped it off.
As a previous owner of a 2020 Range Rover Sport, I would recommend not getting any Range Rover. They look beautiful, but a service nightmare. I always had issues, that even RRover couldn’t figure out. Spent months in the service center. What a nightmare. Ended up selling it and getting a Lexus LX570 and it’s operated flawless so far.
My best mate is a mechanic and he treats all his Range Rover clients like kings and queens. Reason being, he tells me because they're like a gold mine from all the servicing and maintenance costs. So many things go wrong with these vehicles, it's the least reliable brand, in his opinion.
Wow even a 2020 facelift sport? I thought these were a lot more reliable than the 2015 ones. What sort of stuff was in in the service centre for? Electrical gremlins or mechanical bits?
None as a previous owner of a Land Rover Discovery Sport. I had so many problems. I kept up with services, yet my car still ended up on the back of a recovery truck twice, once in 2019 and again in 2022 . My car was parked at Land Rover for 2 months waiting for a part which wasn't even in the country. Mine was number 13 in line. I had to buy myself a cheap corsa to get from A to B, and honestly that Corsa was more reliable than the Land Rover Discovery Sport.
@hardlines2635 Your boss is right most companies won't even lease one of these because the CEO's will all become unreliable at showing up for work due to the Range Rover or Land Rover been a bag of sh*t. I have a Kia Sportage GT line 72 plate, and I have had no problems. Also, I am happy with the 7 years warranty Kia provides
You missed on the colors .. they are quite an important part of the choice as well . The SV and Autobiography versions give the client a lot of options which are just amazing . Your review on it would have been helpful
If I had young children then the longer the better, but now the Sport is something I'm considering. However, my primary concern is reliability of any Range Rover versus Mercedes GLEs that I've owned since they came out (ML) with extremely few if any issues. Time.
One of my dreams is to drive from England to Naples, Italy with my wife and kids. When I was single doing the drive in a coupe was fine. I feel a Range Rover would be the ideal car for what I'm planning for in the near future.
The answer is ... don't. My wife's Evoque had a failed drive shaft at less then 6,000 followed by a failed diff at 8,000. I had to fight like fuck with JLR since they claimed it was due to excessive hard use (it wasn't). Got it fixed, sold it, never going back. Drive a XC90 now, 3yrs of luxury trouble free motoring, just ordered an EX90 due next year.
My most educational section of this video was having to know about the different trim levels❤❤ on the market about the brand new Range Rover. HSE ,SE,Autobiography & SV types. As I kind of had a lot of confusion them.
Very clear review. Funny, the SV version - rear badge looks utterly cheap. The material seats in the SV also look cheap along with the speaker grills....for such a top premium level - unnacceptable.
You spec it how you want lol. Serenity or SV theme changes speaker grills, and you can get near-aniline and not ultrafabrics seats...at this price point you personalize things....

Any person who can afford such a car should not be complaining about fuel prices. Great review, I would like one as I believe the biggest engine is a v8 BMW in place. Just for scale sake, am I right in saying you're around 6ft 2in tall.
The first thing that makes it or brake it to me is how easy it is to get in and out of it. I’m tall and young but I still find it insane to have a car you have to climb into and jump out of, wtf. I would never spend 200 on a car like that.
In Berlin, where I live, any one of the Range range would be a headache.
