It does. As far as we could tell it works just like advertised, which is awesome in a piece of tech like this when at least for me I've never seen anything like this before.
Oh yeah. this is a good pickup. It's not the cheapest tech where I could suggest you get one for 'if you need it' but if you are a DIY'er or plan on doing some home renovations and want to be more comfortable drilling into your walls, this is a good pickup for sure.
I'm really glad to hear that. I am probably going to be making a follow up video here next week since I'll be using the Walabot to mount a TV on a wall! What are you considering using it for?
@@Cfomodz great! Yeah make it ! I am a DIYer and wall mount TVs here an there...had a nightmare experience one time trying to mount over a fireplace and could not locate studs accurately. It was embarrassing. LOL
Great question! We actually didn't have to charge the phone a single time during our demonstration. We figure for imaging and measuring a normal wall for a normal DIY project you wouldn't need to recharge at all as long as you came into it with a full charge as they recommend on the box.
This was filmed a couple years back, so I'm not sure if it would still be the best to use today, but I think it was the first Google Pixel. I don't actually remember clearly. The important part was that it was a newer Android phone (at the time) and thus had enough battery to power the Walabot (another Android we tested before filming did Not have a powerful enough battery). There is (or was) a list of approved phones on their website to let you know if yours is compatible.
We actually opened it up and it is just an array of sensors. It should be completely safe to use - there are organizations that make sure things that use waves are safe.
This looks like it actually works really well

I am going to have to get one of these just to keep in the good ol' toolbox

@@28samz I am worried about the same, so I am for sure going to put this thing to use for the first time not in a test environment!
How much did you have to pay for this. I keep seeing it on different sales and want to know where I should buy it from.
They just came out with a new gen two model. Better and it’s still at the same price

What is inside of that thing? Is this safe to use around kids?

@@Cfomodz Which organizations...name one or two please..
@@nebojsaljubicic6392 I mean the symbols on the back of products. The FCC for one.
did they send it to you??

Does this thing actually work?
Yes, it most definitely does actually work! Watch the full video to see for yourself! :)
can the walabot find an ant nest behind a wall?
Now that is a great question that I do not have an answer to.
Yes- the Walabot can detect movement behind the wall. We've never had someone tell us that they found an ant nest- but people have found beehives.
I was thinking we should do fortnite trolling.
Yeah dude, I would love that!

Why do I have to watch a guy open a box?
