Love your color scheme! Thanks for making this, really appreciate it! Especially for someone new to trackers.
I was a bit startled by the volume of the sound coming from the device relative to your voice.

Thanks, I rarely talk on videos as I am quiet and not that good at it, but I will try balance them better if I make more.

Really fantastic video, I learned so much. The LFOs on amp and warp with the sine limiter is so damn cool! Thanks!

Thanks Sarkus. The Amp and clipping is really strong for sound design, probably easy for people to just skip so I am glad I was able to show some reasons to use it.

Yeah, I tried it out before watching this and thought "oh that's doing something neat", but didn't realize what it was doing until your video. I am definitely gonna be playing with this more.

Whoa, this sounds so very 8bit. Lovely and punchy. The part with reverb sounded awesome in particular. Definitively will keep an eye on it.
BTW congrats on 4k subscribers! :)

thanks Floyd, it has a complimentary selection of engines. you would probably enjoy the FM engine, have seen Ess from Digitone fame do wonders with it.

I love this one, each engine can make all elements of songs including drums, but wavesynth is my personal fave.

That really is dirty..! I love those tones that it can produce and I'm impressed by how capable a machine it is... Thanks for taking the time to explain this!

The multiply parameter isnt the same thing as supersaw. The supersaw is 7 separate oscillators, the multiply parameter repeats the waveform of the oscillator per cycle, and gives you the new fundamental frequency that corresponds to the 7th harmonic above the note

really appreciate these kind of vids that show all the parameters and what they do!

Thanks. It is a good way for me to learn also. Have to force myself to dive into parameters I might normally skip over.

Just watched the whole thing with a glass of wine. Great start to a Friday evening 😁. Got a hardware m8 on order and have decided to save myself rather than getting the teensy for no good reason. Now it’s been going so long I feel like just sticking with it and enjoying what you guys are going with it!

Thanks Geecen. Hopefully this time next month we will all have our hardware M8's. I initially wanted to wait also but eventually gave in and got the headless setup.
I am still super excited for the hardware for many reasons.

As a begginer it’s the first time that i ear how the variable affect the sound in a synth, thanks for those videos 🙏 Is it possible to use the tables as a third LFO and manipulate the cutoff if both LFO are already busy for exemple ?

    • @avrilcadabra
      @avrilcadabra  2 роки тому +1

Thanks yes you can build lfo's and envelopes in tables or even easier using the REP command in phrases like CUT80, REP01 will interpolate and add 1 to cutoff each step (I show this sort if stuff in the m8trix ep 3 video)
