  • Typical 2000 rated chess match (baka mitai)
    So, today i played a few matches with 1800-2400 rated chess.com bots and in a match between me and Francis bot there were very silly endgame blunders not only by me but by bot also which makes the whole game very funnier.

    I 100% would have stalemated this game because when the rook was next to the king all those times I was like TAKE THE ROOK then after like 5 moves I realized that it would be stalemate which was why the pawn move was a blunder

    • @TheKnightFork
      @TheKnightFork  2 роки тому +25

      The basic chess principles are : 1. Control the centre 2. Develop your minor peices and 3. Put your king to safety then go for an attack.
      if you notice, in this match i'm ahead in development in comparison with black, black king is still in the centre and his knight and rook is undeveloped while all of my peices are developed, i have finished castling and i'm ready to attack.
      so what what black should do is finish his development as soon as possible and come to an equal position but a move like Qc6 doesn't make any sense.... you're already behind of development and you are moving the developed queen two times for no valid reason so it is a blunder.

    • @TheKnightFork
      @TheKnightFork  2 роки тому +28

      And now i checked it with stockfish, so stockfish want black to move knight f6 (Nf6) which offcourse make sense because instead of Qc6 if black would have played Nf6 that would at least not put black into much worse position.
      if you play games at higher level then blunder doesn't means a move which losses a peice or hangs the checkmate but blunder is also considered as a move which put you in a much worse position.
      I hope you understand what i'm trying to say!

    • @TheKnightFork
      @TheKnightFork  2 роки тому +18

      This is not accurate, I've been playing with chess.com bots for a long time and on basis of that i can say : A 2300 bot is equal to a real 2300 human player when it comes to opening, A 2000 player in the middle game and a 1700 player at the endgames (as they make silly mistakes at endgames) You can't just declare 2300 bot an absolute 1600 player, A 2300 bot plays with much more accuracy than any 1600 human, it is very common for 1600's to blunder a piece while the bots don't do usually. If you're a 1300 and were able to beat a 2500 bot then it's must be because the bot might had given you advantage , otherwise the 2500 chess.com bot will crush you 99.99% of the time. I'm saying this because when i was 1300 i used to get crushed by a 2500 bot almost all times.

    • @SpottedZebra
      @SpottedZebra Рік тому

      It puts the black king in a spot that would be stalemate if he was alone, which is why white couldn't take the took while it was doing all those point-blank checks. That means the bot could've forced a draw by continuing to make non-capture checks until it either gets accepted, repeated, or reaches the move limit rule for perpetual inaction.

      It's Called the *Great Move* which is defined as the only move which you must play to not go into bad position or the only move which you must play to not miss the advantage when the opponent has done slight mistake. it's just equal to best move but it is notated at special situations in game.
