    🛠️ Hands-On Experience & Job Prep Material! 🛠️

Google recognizes the vitality of other aspects like crafting an exceptional resume, developing a portfolio, and honing your interview skills to bolster your job acquisition prospects! 🐍🖥️
🚦 From Zero to Cybersecurity Hero! 🚦
Imagine your skill stats are zero. Just passing the quizzes and obtaining the certification (without diving into the program's additional recommendations) will see a transformative boost in those stats. We’ll visually guide you through what this transformation looks like and importantly, further hand-hold you through addressing additional areas that Google nods at, which will significantly augment your chances of landing that debut cybersecurity job! 📈🎉

HOW TO ENTER GIVEAWAY - PayPal or Amazon Cards, Your Choice!
    ★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡★彡
Step 1. (CONTEST WILL RUN FOR THE FIRST 48 HOURS OF VIDEO PUBLISH)
Subscribe to the channel. I do these giveaways occasionally and will continue to do it, assuming people behave. Use the bell if you want to get notified.
    Step 2.
Make a comment with the word “CYBER10” in it below. WITHIN your comment, if you agree or disagree with any of the points I’m making, let me know (or if you have anything to add). The purpose of my channel (and this video) is to help educate people, and I want the stuff I’m saying to be corroborated or criticized to maintain authenticity.
    Step 3.
I will use a Python script (code linked below) to look for CYBER10 in the comments and randomly select a maximum of TEN different winners. A single person IS ALLOWED to win a maximum of two times ($200 winnings max per person). After you win, I will respond to your comment and ask you to put your email address in your UA-cam profile and specify if you want to be paid by PayPal or with an Amazon gift card. I will check 24 hours later, and start sending out the cash / gift cards. If you win, after I notify you, please update your UA-cam profile/about page to show something like this:

    Step 4.
If you win, do NOT get impatient and spam my email or the comments, demanding your money. We are properly tracking everything and all past winners can be seen here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CfBS2nb1fk_K13X0YlTYYeOChmdGzrhFLeAkNuCCvew/edit#gid=0
If you spam me or the comments or claim scam, I will 100% not give you anything, have my manager block you, remove your comments, and give your winnings to the next person. I’m so triggered by people doing this, it makes me want to stop doing giveaways. Don’t do this.

Your videos helped so much especially in the job application process, you speaking about doing home labs and how to make yourself stand out helped land me in the role I’m in. I think the podcast tip is super impactful, it made for conversation when speaking with employers very helpful since it showed I was staying up to date with current trends. Can’t thank you enough for all the content and am definitely gonna look into going down the Google Security route soon. Oh and CYBER10 !

I like your channel I've always worked in IT, but always for and employer. One thing that has always been a burden is not being able or allowed to help people on the side, even for free. I've missed out on a lot of chances to learn in the moment and to get to aspect of interacting with other people when solving problems. This year I've decided to start working for myself and want to get to know people in IT and not just the problem solving from a technical perspective, but also the how did you get here and how can we prevent this from happening again. I've recently been talking to small business owners and there is still a lot they don't know about IT.

What entry level roles? They don't exist. Been applying for 5 years. Got a ccna, security+, cysa+, third attempt OSCP, azure 900, azure 104, electrical engineering degree from top uni. No responses. Tried applying for SOC, infosec, netsec, pentesting entry level. Im going to cloud DevOps., and hack on the side. Im totally done with the BS. Its clear the cybersecurity industry doesn't know what it's doing, especially when a GRC role gets paid double a pentester.

It's great to see you back with new videos! I had my A+ certification beforehand and subsequently purchased your career course. Even though I landed a help desk job before taking the final exam (thanks in part to the course), everything you mentioned came to pass. In my interview, I discussed the labs we covered, and I even managed to negotiate my salary!
I'm contemplating diving into your cybersecurity course, but I'm considering first obtaining the CompTIA trifecta to ensure it's the path I want to take. I’m enrolled in the google cybersecurity course right now and it is really good for someone who didn’t know anything about IT or cybersecurity I wouldn’t say it’s good for the comptia security+ it’s more hands on and preparing you for what you would be doing on the job. I’m currently on the 7th section of the course there is only 8 so by next week I should be done and have my google cert. I started on august 10th with minimal breaks I had to take couple weeks off for work, but if really put time in should take Atleast 1-2 months max.

Josh I just discovered you a couple weeks ago and your content has been crazy helpful. I totally agree with what you said in regards to resume building. Being able to take keywords from a job post and tailoring your resume to it is extremely helpful. I've completed the first part of Google CS cert and finishing up the rest.
    P.S.
Love your Azure lab and although I don't get some of what you're doing in there, the experience of running through it a couple times has improved my knowledge on the "why". Again thank you for the content!

I agree with this video. Although I haven't been able to land a job in IT or in cyber yet, the steps explained by Josh are definitely the steps I'm taking to break into cyber. I've been lazy about my resume in the past but after watching Josh's past videos on resume prep, interview prep, portfolio building, and other career-related videos, I know this is the path to take. Hopefully, we can all break into cyber together!😢

If I can pass the coarse careers part for Information Technology with no certs how likely am I able to get a job within 2-3 months
I’m just transitioning from truck driving to IT

    • @JoshMadakor
      @JoshMadakor  8 місяців тому +1

Hey! It kind of depends on the quality of your execution of the stuff in the course, as well as the execution of your job hunt, the type of jobs you're willing to work, and where you're willing to work geographically. If you live year a big city and go wild with your applying and don't care where you work, you can find likely find a job 1-2 months after finishing the course, but it just depends!
Just make sure everything is as good as it can be, then when you're applying, consider running through the course again to build up your intuition! This will help when it comes time to interview

I agree with the importance of having a portfolio. I just got my first IT job but as I was filling out the almost 100 applications I really got to see that the majority of them were asking for a portfolio which I didn't have.
What I did have is some confidence instilled in part by my guy Josh here. Some decent interviewing skills and the fact that I was scheduled to test for A+ LOL not even the cert yet.

Hey Josh! Thank you for the great advice man, I truly appreciate videos like this.
I wanted to ask, is it worth taking notes on every video, reading, etc. of each module/course form this cert?
I started taking it a few months ago but I found myself trying to cram as much info as possible into my notes in the fear of missing out info if I don't. At this point, however, I kinda just want to finish the program so I can receive the cert and then start focusing on other better known certs like Security+.
So as far as taking notes while going through the cert, what would you recommend? It's worth mentioning that I work full time and I'm still in school so it's hard to find a lot of time to dedicate solely to this cert, hence my questioning of my note taking practices.
    Thank you!
