  • We set out to make a track solely on the Moog Sound Studio but quickly got carried away… there was just too much vibe 🤷‍♂️👻

Love it. Got a new subscriber from a fellow sound studio 3 noodler.

Such a fun track mate! Love the samples! and gotta love that Subharm. It's my favorite piece in the Sound Studio.

Thanks man! Ya the SubH is really something else. So unique! For this track my original plan was to stick to just the sound studio (i failed. Haha. ) so I was using the suBH to do both a bassline and melody. It’s such a lil inspiration machine.

What an uplifting tune, nice one 😊 Can't quite see, but what are the connections? E.g. cv gate and out to wich modules, their responsibilities (lead, bass), etc. I see DFAM (top), Mother 32 (center), and SubHarmonicon (bottom).

Started with just the sound studio. DFAM is playing the main beat (I flip between high and low pass filtering in certain parts to add interest/buildups) I supplemented the beat with more kick snare on the Deluge (to the right with all the LEDs) the deluge acts as the brain of the setup as well as drum machine/sequencer (for mother 32 via midi) and additional synth/samples. It’s controlling master tempo with a gate out to DFAM - which is clocked to Subharmonicon. SubH is on bass duty as well as main melody with the second oscillator. Mother is midi synced to the deluge and I’ve sequenced an arpeggio on that. Most of the patching on the mother is for that sound, but I have the LFO tempo synced from the SubH and then multi’d so I can use it to also modulate cutoff on the SubH.

@@oaklandghosts0510 brilliant, thanks for the reply. It sounds really lush. What mixer does all the audio route to?
I'm eyeing a Tascam model 12 (for Microfreak and Waldorf Blofeld, controlled with Deluge as well, and planning to add maybe a Novation Peak and some effects soon), but first checking what everyone else is finding success with.
Do I also see Akai S900 and a 1010 nanobox? Nice setup, btw. Maybe I should look at Moog instead of Novation 😅

@@JuanUysI’m using tascam model 12! Highly recommend! It’s a lil more ins than I need right now (but that’s good for future proofing) but I love that it’s also a DAW controller. The only knock I’d give it is that I wish it had AUX returns. I use the empress zoia as my main fx unit but it sucks I have to send it back to a stereo track and use up 2 tracks.. all in all I’m fine with it. I sometimes use the Zoia as a synth too anyway. The other thing is since I track out to my DAW for for final mix most times I wish I could easlily track in the built in fx. I actually really like the ping pong delay on the tascam. Not a problem if you’re recording directly onto the unit tho. Def a good buy. Suggested and bought by a couple of my band mates too.

      @@oaklandghosts0510 lol, 😎 I guess I'll order a Tascam right now, then 😅
