Bringing you another radio station find on 1611AM at time of recording. Radio Augusta. Comes in quite well here on the South Coast of the UK. radioaugusta.com/
Interesting find Peter couldn't pick it up om my Grundig Yacht Boy but did have a listen online and heard a nice RNI jingle, and a great track from Bolland & Bolland good memories of RNI....thanks.
Recieved Augusta on 1611 here on essex coast during darker nights earlier this year i belive they have a relay tx somewhere in northern europe.Nice to get a different station on mw i agree.
It's more or less a public secret that this is from Belgium. And Radio Northern Star (an official station from Norway) is not very pleased with their broadcast.
@@Greylobster my radio receiving equipment is Tecsun PL990 250 foot long wire antenna ( 4 foo off ground) the northern receiver station uses a Yaesu FT1000MP with long wire & counterpoise - - -
Not a great signal but nevertheless an intriguing station. Veronica's signal was pretty strong in London but the only way I could listen to them was on my Dad's shortwave receiver.
I heard this a few weeks back Peter and by using various KiwiSDR receivers around France/The Netherlands my guess is the 1611Khz tx is somewhere in Brittany? 73 G7HFS/PA3IKH
Great find, I love your enthusiasm
Not a bad station. I've been listening for the last hour and the musical variety is very interesting.
