- Well, here we are, on UA-cam! Josh Holmes-Bright, our youngest ever DJ, welcomes you to the channel and tells you what to expect here. With the help of Andrew Austin, Steve Jenner, Johnny Lewis, and Rob Ashard, Josh gives you an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how the Caroline North weekends from on board our historic former pirate radio ship get up and running before broadcasts begin!
Don’t forget to like the video, subscribe to the channel, and share the video and channel with your friends online.
Visit radiocaroline.co.uk to find out more about Europe’s first album station, and have a look at rossrevenge.com to learn about our charity which sets out to help save our historic vessel.
Great to see Radio Caroline on UA-cam. Thanks to all the volunteers for helping to keep the Caroline dream alive. I've been tuned in since Easter 64 and still a massive fan! Ronan would be very proud of you all.
Well done Josh, great stuff!
All the best for the UA-cam channel keep up the good work goodbye BBC hello radio Caroline
I was involved in the late 70’s with supplying essentials and also servicing the Mi Amigos inflatable and outboard motor before she sank in 1980. Because of the Marine offences broadcasting bill introduced by the Labour Government some of the suppliers were put off supplying due to the 2 year prison sentence if caught. It was definately cloak and dagger stuff when making the 30 mile trip from Southend to the ships location off Margate. I loved it however because of my teen years in the 60’s growing up with Caroline. Great days indeed!
In the mid sixties, you were the only Radio Station on my six transistor radio. Know your theme, 'Radio Caroline' almost word for word, and your close down was 'Summertime' possibly by Booker T and the MG's. Oh such a lifetime ago. Thank you for being there, then, and now. Bless.
Well done Josh, a great first video!
Wonderful ....thanks josh ,johnny etc .
Thanks to . RONAN O RAHILLY.. R.I.P. Ronan
May your (You)Tubes keep glowing and your Modulation be Optimum!

Radio London was a formidable competitor in the 60s but Caroline was the # 1.Rog.PSR.
Wonderful to see everyone - especially Bella, of course!

So pleased to see you here on UA-cam at long last! Thank you for sharing some excellent behind the scenes footage that hopes to keep memories of Radio Caroline alive for years to come. I have memories of visiting the ship back in 2001 when it was docked at Tilbury before moving to Rochester and back to its current home in the River Blackwater. Keep going, guys and thank you as always for the hours of entertainment you bring each month from the legendary ship!

1964-2024 still remembered
Surely you mean 1964 - still going. Your comment reads as if it was all over in 2024!! 😮😮
Hello from Shanghai, Brilliant idea, look forward to further updates.
Great start Josh, all the best to everyone, Paul
love this..
Brilliant! Well done, and very enjoyable.
Hi Josh. Brilliant idea for a UA-cam channel. Could you do a video showing us around the below deck cabins(when they are not being used obviously) As on my two visits to the Ross, they are the only part of the ship I haven't seen. And I'm interested in getting a feel of what life was like on board, especially during the offshore era. Thanks in advance.
Very good video Josh but far too much wind noise. Can't hear what is being said. You need to get one of those Rode wireless lapel mikes that will sort it out.
great!
You need to sort the volume Guys 😮
Josh, A great idea to get onto UA-cam but you need mic for yourself and your guest. Even 'professional broadcasters' forget about the importance of sound especially in noisy environments, so you are in good company.
Fantastic 👍🏻
My favorit station
some excellent camera work
tuned in from bitburg ab in the mid sixties
great first video! Could you use a windshield on the mike for the recordings outside? It's a bit noisy.
here from new zealand. lets hope ross does not have the same unfortunate fate as the mi amigo
Just being geeky. Is that a Perkins 4108 or a P4 do we know?
Where can we get the T shirts
chris moyles was once heralded as the saviour of radio 1. that time has now passed....i think its josh brights time as the saviour of radio caroline....
As long as he doesn’t play Bucks Fizz again😮😮 I had to turn him off that time. 😂😂
Radio North SEA International was far better
Terrible sound
Geweldig..gewoon Geweldig. Groet uit Nederland
