Hey I just passed my coursework for Medical Coding and billing! Thanks in part to your great vids! Thank you! On to the certification exam. Wish me luck
You are spot on when you said to continue medical education to stay up to date. We are running a coding boot camp at our hospital to help folks improve their knowledge
Once you get your AAPC CPC certification exam, what seperate certifications can you get and if you get into a specificity like OBGYN, ears, eyes, respiratory, hospital or can you use your CPC certification to just go into those specificity
Hi Contempo , Question: Do I HAVE to have HSD or GED to pursue MC? I was looking into Preppy and they say YES but AAPC says NO. Problem is Preppy is half the cost!!! Help please!
Hi there! You do not need to have a HSD or GED for the industry, but some organizations, such as Preppy, may have requirements, especially if they are offering a college certificate.
Hello! Thank you for all the information you provided! It helps tremendously. I had a question does it matter where you get your schooling? I signed up with AAPC to be a member to check out my local chapter and noticed that Penn Foster wasn’t listed and I’m pretty close to finishing. Now I’m second guessing whether I should have picked that school or not. Does it matter? Thanks so much!!
Hello new subscriber! I am a nurse looking to get into medical coding is the master class good for beginners, I was exposed to medical coding enrolled in a program years ago but didn’t finish. Thanks for your feedback.
Hi! Do you have any suggestions for no cost programs? I am about to be a single mom in October and I’m hoping to find an online coding job. Financial aid isn’t an option for me because I am already working towards a degree.
Because of the licensing fees associated with CPT codes, there are not legal zero cost options available. There are self-study options, which you can find out more about on my channel here: ua-cam.com/video/GgbSyCUxBOQ/v-deo.html

Amazing video!

Where is the link for the free ceus video… think I’m overlooking it😅
Hello new subscriber! I am a nurse looking to get into medical coding is the master class good for beginners, I was exposed to medical coding enrolled in a program years ago but didn’t finish. Thanks for your feedback.
Do you recommend to joint local chapters or meetings even if i'm still studying for medical coding?
Hi, I’m CPC certified medical coder with 6 years of experience in coding … how to apply medical jobs in US.. can you explain
Is it true that if you go through Preppy your A will be off in a year rather than 2?
Correct, Preppy will fulfill 1 year of the 2 year experience requirement. If you do AAPC's Practicode it takes off another year!
@@ContempoCoding cool I was looking into getting the CPC certification so I should just go ahead and become an AAPC member?
I just started with AAPC class and just when I think I am getting it... I get it all wrong!! GAH lol
How is it going for you?
THANK YOU MY COUSIN

Are there some coding jobs or specialties where you don't have to do 150 to 200 charts a day?
Work in denials. It involves coding and billing and quotas are usually 30-50 a day.
