Always on tour, this time in Tirana Albania where Ady and the Jam House Studio Crew transform an average rehearsal space into a recording studio, capturing heavy metal drums with affordable equipment.
Today we show you which mic's I used and how the individual elements sound, golden tips on how to position them, avoid phase issues, capture the right low end, and more.
In the end, we test Moses Schneiders Microphone technique "The Wurst" and see how one, affordable SM57 can change the game!

You rock Ady!
Man, I absolutely appreciate your kind words Chris! Thank you!
That description of your 70's mic, made me think of a certain building on the Denver skyline, which I think it must resemble. That building was built in the 70's as well. I can't remember if it was Remington or Shick. Am feeling my chin right now. 🤣 Making a note for myself to go to 25:00 in when I revisit this video. So I don't have to go through hell. 😉Thank you Ady! 😅
hahahahaha nobody wants that you to go through hell 😂
Love the wurst, it’s the way forward, you can just mangle that signal and it sounds better all the time, great video man
