These two recent recolors have more effort in their colorization and texture presentation than a lot of the previous ones. The Huntsman skin having a unique shirt pattern and updated texture and unique jeans, as well as the Hanzo jacket being quite different with the logos on the clothing also reshaped/resized is definitely better than a lot of the much more simple ones we had before.
Exactly what I was thinking. Nobody else can fly but Mercy so I really hope she flies a lot so we at least have someone else the way DPS has Pharah & Echo

@@CGJero I feel like Junker Queen's War Cry (I think that is the ability's name) gives a whole new effect, which was introduced in the OW2 release alongside Junker Queen. The main reason why I'm saying this is because it gives the user a larger cut of the effect while being able to be applied to surrounding allies, but with less overhealth and speed boost. I feel like bundling two effects to make one would be a little easier on the coding side than having one thing trigger 2 other effects for the user, then an additional 2 for allies in the area that it is in effect. The coding sid3 is my main justification to support my claim, but I haven't gotten very far with coding yet, so I don't know what would be easier to do.
Doesn’t Junker Queen’s yell also have a speed boost? I’ve never played her but I feel like her yell’s made things faster. I’d expect it to be more of Lifeweaver’s either pull or creating platforms, but I’d could be totally wrong Edit: I guess if the speed ring is a platform that posts your speed, then that fits all the dev’s comments
@@Chief592 I thought the dev was saying only one hero has it in the game has it and they’re support, not that only one support hero has it. As one of the reddit comments pointed out, Anti is an exclusive among support but used by Junker Queen so they didn’t think that would be it. I may have misunderstood though. Speed ring certainly seems possible and that was a good analysis, but if I understand just based on the dev’s comments I wouldn’t have thought Lucio’s speed as much as Lifeweaver’s kit because it’s so unique. I guess when I think about it, if the speed ring is really a new created object like a platform, then that applies to an ability only a support has (lifeweaver creating a platform), speeding up the game, and fits with D.Va’s voice line. I imagine it will launch you forward like a Super Mario 3D World boost pad.
My guess is "indirect" healing. Specifically similar to Zen's orb, with a touch of Illari's pylon. Those bots on the back on her pack look like healing bots. This synergizes with how she's likely to be away from teammates due to being a flying hero; she needs a way to quickly heal, so perhaps she sends out two bots around to teammates. These bots stick around for a long time (if not until recalled/sent to another hero), but can be destroyed. So you get a combination of dedicated constant healing like Zen, but with the source having a health pool and having a pseudo "place and forget" approach , like Illari's pylon. As for their controls: since it's two bots, sending them out controls the same way that Zen applies their orbs (each one is tied to a different input). I.e. since I use the scroll wheel for both orbs, bot 1 would be scroll up; bot 2 would be scroll down.
I dnt think they'll do that. The last two healers have been off healers and the community complains bc they are so skillless when it comes to healing and Illari is an auto healer I dnt think they will add another one right after her. Could be wrong tho *Shrug*
6:48 bliz has stated that they essentially copied and paste abilities and then tweak them for new characters, when kirko was having her bugs for the longest time they said that fixing it would cause an issue with a different character, I assume probably tracer. (also unfortunately I think the asteroid is a reference to the transformer collab)
I doubt it because, and correct me if I’m wrong, when Echo was teased, there was something on the payload for Route 66, wasn’t there? I don’t remember if it was her pod or something was missing but we knew she was coming and they added that little Easter egg. I think it’s the same thing here. Just teasing the next character

I don’t think it’s speed. They always talk about the hero fantasy. What is the hero fantasy of being a space ranger? Being up in space and exploring with maybe a cool space suit like Buzz Lightyear. I think she will be able to fly somehow. Sure, she will be fast, but I don’t think she will be able to provide speed for her team. The only other support character that can fly is Mercy. I think we are looking at a Pharah or Echo-type support.

I don't think people are considering that Kiriko is the only hero in the game that can impact rate of fire. The movement speed boost makes a lot of sense (especially with that D.Va voiceline) but Kiriko's rate of fire buff from Kitsune is the only thing in the entire game that impacts rate of fire, no exceptions. Introducing another ability "that only one hero currently has" sounds like a rate of fire/attack speed buff to me.
Bro, you cannot be talking about speed boost still being an option if you are taking Kiriko's ult into account, Lucio and Kiriko both give speed boost (Kiriko with her ult) so it's not speed boost
Anyone else remember Sombra's hack from Mirrorwatch? The one that boosted speed and attack speed as well as adding over health? I am betting that Space Ranger has that ability. It felt so good and honestly, I would love to play with it. It was especially good at supporting the tank heroes. Sombra's whole kit from Mirrorwatch just felt so good to me as a support main. EDIT: Perhaps a healing drone is also an option?
Shame they just did a recolor and tied a ribbon around her arm for the BCRF fundraiser. Considering they only do these things like twice a decade- you think they could spare more than 20 minutes of effort. Anyway, I hope the new hero is fun. Still can't stand the 5v5 format, so I won't be playing, but at least they are starting to think about trying.
@terogates1 facts! People always look at the best times of 6v6 instead of all the horrible metas we had like like goats, double shield, orisa hog. We also had terrible queue times for dps, like 10 minutes minimum and in high ranked comp could sometimes be hours. We had constant stuns that everyone gave out about and they got rid of most of them in 5v5. Not to mention all the times you would have 2 tanks playing together with no synergy like roadhog winston etc. Its just samito fan boys that just want to complain about something
@@madnessman1520 And even then the horrible metas of 6v6 were not played by 97% of players, you cant tell me peopel in your plat lobbies played Goats or 2x Shield Pickrates reflect that, up until masters the most played heroes were Rein, Dva, Winston, Hog and Zarya, nobody played orisa or sigma And then the other thing, you could still play anything you want and make it work, i didnt have to swap of rein because they went orisa, i didnt have to swap off winston because of a Hog Theres also the aspect that tank duos gave the game lots of depth and teamplay, meanwhile in 5v5 its just one big deathmatch where everyone greeds for kills Another thing is, the game has wayyy more steamrolls than 6v6 ever had, if your side has a bad tank or a tank that doesnt counterswap, well good luck winning that game You cant even carry more than in 6v6, sure every player has more impact, but that also counts for your feeding teammates. The speed ring can be an unused voice line meant to be said for when Lucio arrives, considering he has a circular aoe. I'd imagine more of a zenyatta type boost for Space Ranger, attaching separate rockets to a chosen person that will boost their speed. sort of like the way astronauts move in space. but detachable?
It could also be another of Kistune rush effect. Technically already in the game through Kiriko and makes "the game faster". Either a cool-down reduction or more likely a fire rate increase. Both make games go way faster in the sense that team fight go kicker and I don't think it would be strange with her design.
my guess is that space ranger will have an ability like winston jumppack but she can take teammates with her (so she can essentially turn any DPS or tank into a dive hero)
This positive video has been refreshing. I’ve been playing OW since early days of OW1 and following you for years. What I loved about you was your positivity and enthusiasm for the game and releasing tons of content. Over the past couple of years I’ve noticed your videos take a more pessimistic trend with less and less positivity coming through your videos. Understanding the game hasn’t been perfect, I’ve still loved the game, but it has been sad seeing my favourite UA-camr for the game only having negative words and criticism about it and I feel as though those messages have transcended through to other players and had a knock on effect. But getting a glimpse of keen stylosa in this video was awesome! I’ve always appreciated your videos and hope the positive trend can continue!! ❤
@@goldcobraarima9819 well duh, but like I said it’s what people find mobility fun. If the hero’s kit doesn’t have much value utility wise, then Mobility is the only other thing you can add. Ana is good because of her utility. Her utility compensates for her lack of mobility, and the same is with Zen and with Brig ( except shield bash, which is very small movement ).
Speed boost is not exclusive to lucio, both commanding shout and Kitsune Rush have a speed boosting effect. Speaking of Kitsune Rush, what if Space Ranger was able to give a rate of fire increase or a cool-down decrease to her teammates? Both effects make the game faster and both effects are only possessed by one hero in the game being Kiriko. It would also make the support role easier to balance than if it's a speed boost, because it won't make Lucio and Space Ranger compete for a speed boosting effect, and would make a Lucio/Spaceranger support duo more valuable.
5:01 Perhaps her speed rings are literal rings? Maybe her robotic arms on her back could shoot out in any area, plus if she could fly, she can place speed rings in the sky for D.va, Pharah, Echo, Mercy and herself. This could make some sense right? Just seems plausible.
Oooooooo it’s gonna be a Kiri Pathway just for speed that she can place as a way for her team to move fast. Probably gonna have like health bars on each Ring that you can destroy as well. It’s actually gonna make tanks be able to push harder and faster too.
I see a lot of people saying the meteor is for the transformers collab. But Blizzard specifically said that for collabs the heroes are cosplaying as those characters. So i dont think they would add a real world detail to something that is not real in the overwatch world. That would also ruin overwatch’s lore and fantasy to acknowledge that transformers are real lmao
So i feel like it may be a mini kitsune rush type thing where it speeds up your attack and cooldown speed, since just plain moving faster is technically lucio and kiri, but only kiri can make you shoot faster. Other things like anti ehhh very loosely related to "speeding up the game" Based off the name could be like an "anti gravity" jump boost which is kinda like lifeweaver.
When I heard them say, this is utility only one character has, followed by “the game is going it get really fast”, I didn’t even consider speed boost and honestly I still don’t really think it’s that, since Kitsune Rush also gives a speed boost. If anything, I think they’re referring to Kitsune Rush’s increased attack speed or sped up cooldown times because those are actually things only one support has. The speed ring theory does make sense, but unless they were not including ultimates in their list of “unique utility” then that would mean the dev’s claims are technically untrue.
I see everyone mentioning Kiriko's speed boost, and I'm just reminded that she used to give a 3x speed boost, fire rate, and reload speed and they nerfed it. Might be a terrifying support if they are bringing something like this back.
It could be an ability you place on a teammate and it gives a speed ring (similar to Lucio ring) that provides speed boost to everyone in it for a period of time. That could be dangerous on a tank when the team pushes together.
I think they’re referring to Baptiste. They said previously she has verticality. Just like Baptiste. I think she will either rocket upwards OR be able to place jump pads down.
I just love space rangers design so much the second they showed her art that one time I told myself I was gonna main her day 1. Her design is SO SICK. I do remember them saying her whole thing was gonna be vertical mobility. So I thought she was gonna have baptiste type jumps, but instead of it being her boots like bap she instead manipulates gravity or something allowing her to have super jumps, her being from space and all. And on her art the 2 bots or whatever coming out of her jetpack looking thing made me think they were mini turrets. So maybe she’s more offense oriented like illari? There’s really no way to know for now though. I just love her design so much.
Kiriko is not the only character who cleanses, Zarya’s bubbles do the exact same; also Junker Queen applies a speed amp to teammates, that isn’t just Lucio either
One think to consider; Kiri's ult also provides a speed boost, so more than one hero has that. That said, I can envision an ult that is entirely speed based. Makes me think of racing games that have a speed boost in the shape of a ring that maybe she quickly constructs via pieces of her suit? Could be interesting.
I think space ranger may be able to give teammates faster rate of fire. Only Kiriko can do that now and it’d definitely speed up the game. The idea has come up before with Mercy’s blue beam, but it’s tricky with Mercy because she can quickly switch between yellow and blue beam, messing up the target’s rhythm. This wouldn’t be a problem if space ranger’s buff applied for a fixed duration
Her ult will probably summon some sort of certifuge spaced out rings where walking through them makes you go rapid, maybe its a placable ring that just shoots people forward, we dont have any jump pads yet like apex legends octane
Dva has boosters but only to herself and JQ's shout is only given for a short period of time. Lucio has speed to help with mobility but for a short period of time too. Kiri's Rush ult is only set in one spot to push. Space Ranger might be a hero that may have speed mobility active for a certain duration to help with characters that have less movement speed like Ana, Roadhog, Bastion etc that have to do lots of ground walking for escaping, rejoining fights or to be at pace with everyone so that no one is left being having to wait. Just a thought
Okay so we know she probably has something to do with speed(specifically a speed ring) a comet in the sky could be an ability or heck even her weapon(cuz they scrapped her burst fire smart SMG) and she has shoulder mounted drones, boosters like all over her suit, combined with the fact they said she had Vertical Mobility

Looking at the support category the unique abilities (within supports) are currently cleanse, anti, damage reduction (nano), and attack speed buff. I propose that we're looking at an attack speed buff on cd because anti doesn't seem in character for her design, so something like a single target kitsune.
i think the utility they're talking about is flight. Only mercy has a flight mechanic in the support category, and just look at her design, it screams flying through space

As they highlighted it on blizzcon in 2023, they will be flying, so I guess if they really get any speed abilities, it will work pretty much like echo's flight. not freeflight, but something similar to that. Also I'd argue that "games will get fast" means we get speedboost. It might mean that they get an ability (or ult) that speeds up THE PACE of the game by, idk, decrease reloading speed, get some of the characteristics of kiriko's ult or just some kind of "high risk, high reward" thing like making teammates a bit more vulnerable but increasing thier damage or something. Though it would be unlikely, since it would give kind of a debuff to teammates, which, of corse, no one wants.
I was hyped for Mauga aswell, i wanted him ingame since 2019, but then because of 5v5 and horrible Solo Tanking, they had to make him busted as fuck and boring because if you dont shoot the other tank you instantly die. Weirdly enough, the community made a 6v6 patch where Mauga only has 500HP and Cardiac only works on himself, there you could actually shoot something else than the tank and be way more killable but have another tank to peel you so it balances out hmm Anyways them releasing Heroes is cool and all but i just cant stand the game anymore which is sad because i really really want to love it again like i did OW1, but the Gameplay is just so ass in 5v5. I hope they atleast try a QP Hacked with 6v6 someday, but until then the game is mediocore at best
Recolours should be free battle pass skins. I'd be happy for them to make an few new themed skins (4 or 5) and recolours and just lob them all in the battle pass. Some as free skins, some for premium. I'd even take fewer new skins total if everything that was part of the battle pass theme went in the battle pass, and then they add a few recolours for the free track. that way I wouldn't feel so annoyed that every season all the good season themed skins were in the shop.
Like, this season I think the theme is cool but the skins I want aren't actually in the BP so I haven't bought it. I'd rather they put all the lifeguard skins in the shop and all the "Ultrawatch" skins in the BP. Blizzard still make their money on the shop skins but the battle pass still has all the related things in. That'd feel like far less of a con.
I would argue this is either more like Kiriko's ult, unless they go crazy and decided to make a rope attachment like Valk from Apex. If it is really a ring, does it work like racing games when one runs through a boost ring? P.S: Bliz needs to address the queues, and address the no leave penalty on casual; either give a free leave every 3 matches or just add a small time penalty every time. The idea that the penalty gets worse just because you don't want to play an absurd match, or have to leave last second, that is just crazy.
He said an ability only one character has. Not an ability only one support has. Junker Queen has a speeding up allies ability (as does Kiriko). So I really don’t think he’s referencing speed boosting.
Wish they would do more engagement like they did with Sombra. I think Space ranger will do something with anti gravity maybe make players lighter so they move faster or jump farther.
If its not apart of the support cast, couldnt sym tele work as well? Like what if she can open black holes that transport a singular character to that spot. Or maybe her ult brings everyone to the spot where she opens it up, like Hoopa from pokemon unite.
My first thoughts, Cleanse, Speed, healing based on selecting someone to receive it, immortality/death prevention, attack speed buffs, antihealing, giving the team armor, flight, and finally regenerating shields. It could be any of these honestly.
I keep seeing people talking about Queen shout and Kitsune Rush to say Space Ranger won’t have speed, but A. It is specifically stated that it’s an ability that one other support has, so Queen’s shout isn’t comparable because she’s well not a support, and B. Kitsune Rush is an ultimate, not an ability. Same thing goes for the rate of fire buff on rush which I’ve seen thrown out as well, it’s attached to an ultimate, not an ability. I’ve also seen flight thrown around but I would also classify that as only belonging to Mercy’s ultimate, not one of her abilities. Gliding maybe lol. I think the words the OW team uses are very intentional and “ability” has most consistently referred to cooldowns and passives, not ultimates. All that to say I think the most likely ability for her to have is speed. I think it’s also equally as likely that in the moment he didn’t consider every single support ability and just misspoke or is alluding to something that we’re generally not considering like res or anti or suzu (but then again he LITERALLY says that it will speed up the game and I have a hard time taking that as anything other than “yeah it’s speed” or some kind of movement augment for your team.) Me personally, I think a booster pack that can be given out like Brig’s medpacks would be sick. Like a little rocket that makes whoever it’s attached to go faster. Likely hackable or destroyable and I could definitely see the trade off being that it’s only available on one (two at the maximum) player at a time and is super fragile or is on a time once applied idk that feels like an interesting way to bring speed to another character without just making another Lucio ring. It feels unlikely based on the D.va “speed ring” callout because uhhh that’s likely something more stationary like a Mario Katg booster on rainbow road. Anyway that’s my essay goodnight
Either the drones attach to people and they give speed boost or she has a cooldown where she like mini Ana nano like injects people with something that speeds someone up for a bit
Now... what if... it isn't the speed boost alone? Lucio isn't the only character to give a speed boost, and so does Junkerqueen. What if it's a speed boost ability and a new mech character?
It's attack speed. Kiri is the only one who can manipulate attack speed on the OW2 roster. In Mirrorwatch, there was an ability that you could E onto a teammate to increase their attack speed.
They need to allow you to buy old exclusively shop skins with the in-game currency (the white tokens or w/e) after a year or some amount of time. I hate the way you earn skins in OW2, but seeing all the cool skins get locked behind having to spend $20 for every single skin is disappointing. In-game currency is very slow to get without the battlepass so let people buy cool skins rather than just the old original Overwatch 1 skins.
Maybe one of her abilities is like something from a sonic game with her placing these rings down and you go through a ring to speed you a long the map.
What if Spaceranger had an ability kind of like Brig Pack where she applies it to a teammate and for a set duration that teammates speed increases in proportion to their damage taken. That would be cool.
Omg I just thought about it.... its not speed boost. 1 there's kitsune rush, 2 there's junker queens shout. You know what it is.... its non linear movement... she's going to give portals, or the ability to fly, or something to do with ignoring gravity... only 1 champion has it. It fits her design... this is insane. It speeds up game play it enables your team to take positions never thought of. It adds complexity. Here we go. And a space hero... deffinatly a shield giving support.

@@Chief592 I thought the dev was saying only one hero has it in the game has it and they’re support, not that only one support hero has it. As one of the reddit comments pointed out, Anti is an exclusive among support but used by Junker Queen so they didn’t think that would be it. I may have misunderstood though. Speed ring certainly seems possible and that was a good analysis, but if I understand just based on the dev’s comments I wouldn’t have thought Lucio’s speed as much as Lifeweaver’s kit because it’s so unique. I guess when I think about it, if the speed ring is really a new created object like a platform, then that applies to an ability only a support has (lifeweaver creating a platform), speeding up the game, and fits with D.Va’s voice line. I imagine it will launch you forward like a Super Mario 3D World boost pad.

My guess is "indirect" healing. Specifically similar to Zen's orb, with a touch of Illari's pylon.
Those bots on the back on her pack look like healing bots. This synergizes with how she's likely to be away from teammates due to being a flying hero; she needs a way to quickly heal, so perhaps she sends out two bots around to teammates. These bots stick around for a long time (if not until recalled/sent to another hero), but can be destroyed.
So you get a combination of dedicated constant healing like Zen, but with the source having a health pool and having a pseudo "place and forget" approach , like Illari's pylon.
As for their controls: since it's two bots, sending them out controls the same way that Zen applies their orbs (each one is tied to a different input). I.e. since I use the scroll wheel for both orbs, bot 1 would be scroll up; bot 2 would be scroll down.
I dnt think they'll do that. The last two healers have been off healers and the community complains bc they are so skillless when it comes to healing and Illari is an auto healer I dnt think they will add another one right after her. Could be wrong tho *Shrug*
Indirect healing would mostly cater to brigs inspire since it’s the only healing where you really don’t need to use abilities to use it
6:48 bliz has stated that they essentially copied and paste abilities and then tweak them for new characters, when kirko was having her bugs for the longest time they said that fixing it would cause an issue with a different character, I assume probably tracer. (also unfortunately I think the asteroid is a reference to the transformer collab)
I doubt it because, and correct me if I’m wrong, when Echo was teased, there was something on the payload for Route 66, wasn’t there? I don’t remember if it was her pod or something was missing but we knew she was coming and they added that little Easter egg. I think it’s the same thing here. Just teasing the next character

I don’t think it’s speed. They always talk about the hero fantasy. What is the hero fantasy of being a space ranger? Being up in space and exploring with maybe a cool space suit like Buzz Lightyear. I think she will be able to fly somehow. Sure, she will be fast, but I don’t think she will be able to provide speed for her team. The only other support character that can fly is Mercy. I think we are looking at a Pharah or Echo-type support.

6:20 I think that it was the baby dva who was the placeholder for space ranger not the mech. She is a similar size, and she has no abilities so it would be easier to work on her.
I don't think people are considering that Kiriko is the only hero in the game that can impact rate of fire. The movement speed boost makes a lot of sense (especially with that D.Va voiceline) but Kiriko's rate of fire buff from Kitsune is the only thing in the entire game that impacts rate of fire, no exceptions. Introducing another ability "that only one hero currently has" sounds like a rate of fire/attack speed buff to me.
Bro, you cannot be talking about speed boost still being an option if you are taking Kiriko's ult into account, Lucio and Kiriko both give speed boost (Kiriko with her ult) so it's not speed boost
Anyone else remember Sombra's hack from Mirrorwatch? The one that boosted speed and attack speed as well as adding over health? I am betting that Space Ranger has that ability. It felt so good and honestly, I would love to play with it. It was especially good at supporting the tank heroes. Sombra's whole kit from Mirrorwatch just felt so good to me as a support main. EDIT: Perhaps a healing drone is also an option?
Shame they just did a recolor and tied a ribbon around her arm for the BCRF fundraiser. Considering they only do these things like twice a decade- you think they could spare more than 20 minutes of effort. Anyway, I hope the new hero is fun. Still can't stand the 5v5 format, so I won't be playing, but at least they are starting to think about trying.

@terogates1 facts! People always look at the best times of 6v6 instead of all the horrible metas we had like like goats, double shield, orisa hog. We also had terrible queue times for dps, like 10 minutes minimum and in high ranked comp could sometimes be hours. We had constant stuns that everyone gave out about and they got rid of most of them in 5v5. Not to mention all the times you would have 2 tanks playing together with no synergy like roadhog winston etc. Its just samito fan boys that just want to complain about something

Pickrates reflect that, up until masters the most played heroes were Rein, Dva, Winston, Hog and Zarya, nobody played orisa or sigma
And then the other thing, you could still play anything you want and make it work, i didnt have to swap of rein because they went orisa, i didnt have to swap off winston because of a Hog
Theres also the aspect that tank duos gave the game lots of depth and teamplay, meanwhile in 5v5 its just one big deathmatch where everyone greeds for kills
Another thing is, the game has wayyy more steamrolls than 6v6 ever had, if your side has a bad tank or a tank that doesnt counterswap, well good luck winning that game
You cant even carry more than in 6v6, sure every player has more impact, but that also counts for your feeding teammates. Every player trolling your game has more Impact now in 5v5
But hey, its always just "Nostalgia" right, i didnt just list totally valid arguments and its not like majority of the playerbase is miserable currently.

The speed ring can be an unused voice line meant to be said for when Lucio arrives, considering he has a circular aoe. I'd imagine more of a zenyatta type boost for Space Ranger, attaching separate rockets to a chosen person that will boost their speed. sort of like the way astronauts move in space. but detachable?
It could also be another of Kistune rush effect. Technically already in the game through Kiriko and makes "the game faster". Either a cool-down reduction or more likely a fire rate increase. Both make games go way faster in the sense that team fight go kicker and I don't think it would be strange with her design.
my guess is that space ranger will have an ability like winston jumppack but she can take teammates with her (so she can essentially turn any DPS or tank into a dive hero)

What I loved about you was your positivity and enthusiasm for the game and releasing tons of content.
Over the past couple of years I’ve noticed your videos take a more pessimistic trend with less and less positivity coming through your videos.
Understanding the game hasn’t been perfect, I’ve still loved the game, but it has been sad seeing my favourite UA-camr for the game only having negative words and criticism about it and I feel as though those messages have transcended through to other players and had a knock on effect.
But getting a glimpse of keen stylosa in this video was awesome!

@@goldcobraarima9819 well duh, but like I said it’s what people find mobility fun. If the hero’s kit doesn’t have much value utility wise, then Mobility is the only other thing you can add. Ana is good because of her utility. Her utility compensates for her lack of mobility, and the same is with Zen and with Brig ( except shield bash, which is very small movement ).

Perhaps it's a ring she will place down, and when you go through it you get a boosted, possibly both in speed and jump height.

Speed boost is not exclusive to lucio, both commanding shout and Kitsune Rush have a speed boosting effect. Speaking of Kitsune Rush, what if Space Ranger was able to give a rate of fire increase or a cool-down decrease to her teammates? Both effects make the game faster and both effects are only possessed by one hero in the game being Kiriko. It would also make the support role easier to balance than if it's a speed boost, because it won't make Lucio and Space Ranger compete for a speed boosting effect, and would make a Lucio/Spaceranger support duo more valuable.

I see a lot of people saying the meteor is for the transformers collab. But Blizzard specifically said that for collabs the heroes are cosplaying as those characters. So i dont think they would add a real world detail to something that is not real in the overwatch world.

So i feel like it may be a mini kitsune rush type thing where it speeds up your attack and cooldown speed, since just plain moving faster is technically lucio and kiri, but only kiri can make you shoot faster. Other things like anti ehhh very loosely related to "speeding up the game" Based off the name could be like an "anti gravity" jump boost which is kinda like lifeweaver.
When I heard them say, this is utility only one character has, followed by “the game is going it get really fast”, I didn’t even consider speed boost and honestly I still don’t really think it’s that, since Kitsune Rush also gives a speed boost. If anything, I think they’re referring to Kitsune Rush’s increased attack speed or sped up cooldown times because those are actually things only one support has. The speed ring theory does make sense, but unless they were not including ultimates in their list of “unique utility” then that would mean the dev’s claims are technically untrue.
I see everyone mentioning Kiriko's speed boost, and I'm just reminded that she used to give a 3x speed boost, fire rate, and reload speed and they nerfed it. Might be a terrifying support if they are bringing something like this back.
It could be an ability you place on a teammate and it gives a speed ring (similar to Lucio ring) that provides speed boost to everyone in it for a period of time. That could be dangerous on a tank when the team pushes together.

I think they’re referring to Baptiste. They said previously she has verticality. Just like Baptiste. I think she will either rocket upwards OR be able to place jump pads down.
I just love space rangers design so much the second they showed her art that one time I told myself I was gonna main her day 1. Her design is SO SICK. I do remember them saying her whole thing was gonna be vertical mobility. So I thought she was gonna have baptiste type jumps, but instead of it being her boots like bap she instead manipulates gravity or something allowing her to have super jumps, her being from space and all. And on her art the 2 bots or whatever coming out of her jetpack looking thing made me think they were mini turrets. So maybe she’s more offense oriented like illari? There’s really no way to know for now though. I just love her design so much.
He didn’t say only one SUPPORT, he said only one CHARACTER has. It can be any character that makes things “faster” with higher mobility

One think to consider; Kiri's ult also provides a speed boost, so more than one hero has that.
That said, I can envision an ult that is entirely speed based. Makes me think of racing games that have a speed boost in the shape of a ring that maybe she quickly constructs via pieces of her suit? Could be interesting.
Fire rate boost is also a speed based ability that only 1 hero has (kiriko ult) but I’m pretty sure it’s gunna be a speed boost

I think space ranger may be able to give teammates faster rate of fire. Only Kiriko can do that now and it’d definitely speed up the game. The idea has come up before with Mercy’s blue beam, but it’s tricky with Mercy because she can quickly switch between yellow and blue beam, messing up the target’s rhythm. This wouldn’t be a problem if space ranger’s buff applied for a fixed duration
Her ult will probably summon some sort of certifuge spaced out rings where walking through them makes you go rapid, maybe its a placable ring that just shoots people forward, we dont have any jump pads yet like apex legends octane

Dva has boosters but only to herself and JQ's shout is only given for a short period of time. Lucio has speed to help with mobility but for a short period of time too. Kiri's Rush ult is only set in one spot to push. Space Ranger might be a hero that may have speed mobility active for a certain duration to help with characters that have less movement speed like Ana, Roadhog, Bastion etc that have to do lots of ground walking for escaping, rejoining fights or to be at pace with everyone so that no one is left being having to wait. Just a thought

Speed boost technically is found in 2 other abilities in Kitsune Rush and Commanding Shout
Are we just forgetting about kitsune's movement speed buff? Looking at the support category the unique abilities (within supports) are currently cleanse, anti, damage reduction (nano), and attack speed buff. I propose that we're looking at an attack speed buff on cd because anti doesn't seem in character for her design, so something like a single target kitsune.
My guess is that she might be able to grip like LW in a way where she can give another hero the ability to glide with her.
i think the utility they're talking about is flight. Only mercy has a flight mechanic in the support category, and just look at her design, it screams flying through space

As they highlighted it on blizzcon in 2023, they will be flying, so I guess if they really get any speed abilities, it will work pretty much like echo's flight. not freeflight, but something similar to that.
Also I'd argue that "games will get fast" means we get speedboost. It might mean that they get an ability (or ult) that speeds up THE PACE of the game by, idk, decrease reloading speed, get some of the characteristics of kiriko's ult or just some kind of "high risk, high reward" thing like making teammates a bit more vulnerable but increasing thier damage or something. Though it would be unlikely, since it would give kind of a debuff to teammates, which, of corse, no one wants.
I was hyped for Mauga aswell, i wanted him ingame since 2019, but then because of 5v5 and horrible Solo Tanking, they had to make him busted as fuck and boring because if you dont shoot the other tank you instantly die.
Weirdly enough, the community made a 6v6 patch where Mauga only has 500HP and Cardiac only works on himself, there you could actually shoot something else than the tank and be way more killable but have another tank to peel you so it balances out hmm
Anyways them releasing Heroes is cool and all but i just cant stand the game anymore which is sad because i really really want to love it again like i did OW1, but the Gameplay is just so ass in 5v5.
I hope they atleast try a QP Hacked with 6v6 someday, but until then the game is mediocore at best
Recolours should be free battle pass skins. I'd be happy for them to make an few new themed skins (4 or 5) and recolours and just lob them all in the battle pass. Some as free skins, some for premium. I'd even take fewer new skins total if everything that was part of the battle pass theme went in the battle pass, and then they add a few recolours for the free track. that way I wouldn't feel so annoyed that every season all the good season themed skins were in the shop.
Like, this season I think the theme is cool but the skins I want aren't actually in the BP so I haven't bought it. I'd rather they put all the lifeguard skins in the shop and all the "Ultrawatch" skins in the BP. Blizzard still make their money on the shop skins but the battle pass still has all the related things in. That'd feel like far less of a con.

I would argue this is either more like Kiriko's ult, unless they go crazy and decided to make a rope attachment like Valk from Apex. If it is really a ring, does it work like racing games when one runs through a boost ring?
P.S: Bliz needs to address the queues, and address the no leave penalty on casual; either give a free leave every 3 matches or just add a small time penalty every time. The idea that the penalty gets worse just because you don't want to play an absurd match, or have to leave last second, that is just crazy.

He said an ability only one character has. Not an ability only one support has. Junker Queen has a speeding up allies ability (as does Kiriko). So I really don’t think he’s referencing speed boosting.
Wish they would do more engagement like they did with Sombra. I think Space ranger will do something with anti gravity maybe make players lighter so they move faster or jump farther.

My first thoughts, Cleanse, Speed, healing based on selecting someone to receive it, immortality/death prevention, attack speed buffs, antihealing, giving the team armor, flight, and finally regenerating shields. It could be any of these honestly.
I keep seeing people talking about Queen shout and Kitsune Rush to say Space Ranger won’t have speed, but A. It is specifically stated that it’s an ability that one other support has, so Queen’s shout isn’t comparable because she’s well not a support, and B. Kitsune Rush is an ultimate, not an ability. Same thing goes for the rate of fire buff on rush which I’ve seen thrown out as well, it’s attached to an ultimate, not an ability. I’ve also seen flight thrown around but I would also classify that as only belonging to Mercy’s ultimate, not one of her abilities. Gliding maybe lol. I think the words the OW team uses are very intentional and “ability” has most consistently referred to cooldowns and passives, not ultimates. All that to say I think the most likely ability for her to have is speed. I think it’s also equally as likely that in the moment he didn’t consider every single support ability and just misspoke or is alluding to something that we’re generally not considering like res or anti or suzu (but then again he LITERALLY says that it will speed up the game and I have a hard time taking that as anything other than “yeah it’s speed” or some kind of movement augment for your team.) Me personally, I think a booster pack that can be given out like Brig’s medpacks would be sick. Like a little rocket that makes whoever it’s attached to go faster. Likely hackable or destroyable and I could definitely see the trade off being that it’s only available on one (two at the maximum) player at a time and is super fragile or is on a time once applied idk that feels like an interesting way to bring speed to another character without just making another Lucio ring. It feels unlikely based on the D.va “speed ring” callout because uhhh that’s likely something more stationary like a Mario Katg booster on rainbow road. Anyway that’s my essay goodnight

I also love playing Alari - she’s awesome! I’m a support main ( mostly mercy, Anna & Lucio ) but Alari is working her way in to my top as well 👍🏻

It's attack speed. Kiri is the only one who can manipulate attack speed on the OW2 roster. In Mirrorwatch, there was an ability that you could E onto a teammate to increase their attack speed.
They need to allow you to buy old exclusively shop skins with the in-game currency (the white tokens or w/e) after a year or some amount of time.
I hate the way you earn skins in OW2, but seeing all the cool skins get locked behind having to spend $20 for every single skin is disappointing. In-game currency is very slow to get without the battlepass so let people buy cool skins rather than just the old original Overwatch 1 skins.
