Project Aurora is very real, my father was a Senior Electronic engineer for the Electronic Warfare division of Raytheon at the Goleta CA site. Before his passing he confessed his involvement in working on the specialized radar system for the plane. Unfortunately he never actually got to see the aircraft itself. But it was titled Project Aurora and was rumored to be a triangular plane using pulse jet technology to travel many times the speed of sound, quicker than the SR-71. He worked at Raytheon since the 70's and was also a Senior engineer on the SLQ-32 missile defense system for the Navy. I say this because I'm proud of his contributions to our country and am proud to be his son, may he rest in peace. Robert G. McGaw, January 22nd, 1947-December 27th, 2017.

think, cold war was never cold, it has never officially in Cia end ended. to date we have hotter cold war scenerio existing with China and Russia again. there is numerous black projects and fpr good reason kept hush. China has been mocking or cloning sometimes attempting to make cross looking aircraft of us black aircraft and stealth. ever since the the 117 crashed Russia middle east to China including north Korea got pieces. those birds are based on that crashed stealth thus they said can the 117 to air national guard and yard. what is bad is this brings those enemies yes enemies still closer to modern stealth. let's not forget the drone crash. they also have applied that to their aircraft. I once asked a Chinese former advisor about ufos he took it serious and said if the US has them we do to though they may vary. he had said we live in a false reality outside closed doors. a reality stuck in the past.

I was living in San Diego back in 1992 and on multiple occasions spanning a 2 week period we heard the double sonic booms that were mentioned here. At one point one of the local TV stations plotted the reports of it's news teams that were around the county and the line was heading in the general direction of Edwards AFB. When the the station asked the Air Force and Navy (we had 2 naval air stations there at the time one has been transferred to the Marines) we got 2 answers. The Navy said flat out "We do not have anything that could fly that fast or that high" the Air Force just simply denied it was theirs. As a military brat even at 12 my mind went *DING* we have a winner!! Ever since I was wondering what the USAF was playing around with.

In March of 2016 I was in Phoenix area and was hiking down a trail in the desert. I was keeping an eye on an area of the sky due to myself being a pilot and this area was an approach pattern for the main airport. As I was watching a jet I saw above it another jet heading the opposite direction crossing the sky fast and at an altitude I’d guess in excess of 45,000 ft. My estimate was this aircraft was going over 3,000 mph and made no jet sound I could hear. It went from my 11 o’clock position to my 3 o’clock position disappearing over the horizon in about 15 seconds. It left a contrail but just not the pulsating type.

By the middle 90's, the craft, The Aurora, was expected to be capable of flying over Mach 10 in atmosphere.

Nah, the reason the decades of 50s to 80s were advancing in technologies so quickly was cause it was during the Cold War And an arms race was going on. US allocated billions to research and development in creating revolutionary technology quickly. Also computer technology was at its early stages in the 50s and was fast advancing allowing unsolvable problems being able to be solved much quicker and more efficiently in smaller more compact size

I was travelling on an GNER train to Edinburgh with my family more than 10 years ago (north of Morpeth) when we heard [yes above the sound of the train] an odd jet, stroke scrunching sound. All of us in the front portion of the lead carriage that looked out the window saw the "donuts-on-a-rope" contrail formation within seconds of hearing that strange sound. Funny, 90% of us started talking about the possibility that we'd just witnessed an 'Aurora' incident. No BS it was so obvious. I'm convinced she exists...

Earlier this year, a sequel of the Top Gun film was released featuring a "fictional" plane called Darkstar. I'm currently flying this plane at Mach 9.95 on Microsoft Flight Simulator. Lol. So in hindsight, I think this may have been what was being seen and heard in the 90s, and has now been declassified and put in a movie as a "fictional" plane, at a time of rising tensions with China and Russia. Still a cool plane

Living in Malibu back in the late 80's in the mornings we'd wake to this funny rumbling from the sky that would shake the windows. I'd run out to look and there would be these strange contrails that we called popcorn on a string. They were very high maybe FL45-50. Round and round in a huge circle then track due west from us. The morning news would be abuzz of reports of these strange noises. JPL and CALTECH even triangulated them to the Tonapah, Nv area. Well, almost straight west is perhaps the blackest test area on the west coast, St Nicholas Island. Never heard a word after that.

    • @5ynthesizerpatel
      @5ynthesizerpatel 3 роки тому +1

the "popcorn on a string" contrails aren't particularly unusual
I worked in west London for a couple of years just a couple of miles from Heathrow airport - one of the busiest airports in the world.
If you spent any time looking at the sky on days when conditions were good for contrail formation, you'd be pretty much guaranteed to see a few contrails like that.
Not sure what causes it - whether it's a particular type of plane or engine, or a product of particular weather or atmospheric conditions, but they certainly aren't special and the likelihood of a secret spy plane being flown in some of the busiest airspace in the world above a major city is practically zero.

I've seen the "doughnuts on a rope" type contrail coming from a commercial airliner. More than once. The contrail looked normal directly behind the aircraft. Several seconds behind the jet the contrail formed into the "doughnuts on a rope" shape. IMO it must have to do with atmospheric conditions. Winds, temp., pressure etc..

"Aroura" is the name of a funding operation for a group of planes. They include the SR-75, the TR-3b, the X-43b, the TR3a & Tr3c (one of those is a smaller version of the TR-3b; they played with the nomenclature to throw people off).
What they saw getting fueled was the SR-75 and it makes the weird contrails and multiple booms. It uses ramjet or scramjet technology and is capable of Mach 5 to Mach 12; maybe higher but that is fast as it has gone as far as we know.
The TR-3b uses a plasma technology and has nuclear power on board and can go into space. It is often mistaken for a UFO as it can go double-digit Mach speeds and make what appears to be right angle turns; it's cant, but it appears that way to the naked eye.

I wouldn't be surprised. SR-71 Blackbird was made in the early 1960's, and that plane flew at Mach 3.3, absolute speed record. An SR-71 pilot said it could fly in excess of Mach 3.5.
Remember...this was the early 1960's when the plane was made.
Fun fact, in January of 1960, the military ordered 12 A-12 aircraft. The A-12 is essentially the father of the SR-71. The maximum speed of the A-12 was Mach 3.2, just .1 Mach under the SR-71's absolute speed record belt.
We had this high-speed supersonic technology most likely developed to a degree just before the 1960's, lol. In its infancy, yeah, especially considering the aircraft's basics were being evaluated starting in 1957 when the CIA wanted another high-speed stealth spy plane. But the point stands.
Technology doesn't progress evenly, and we can't make exact predictions, but it has been *56+ years* since we first made Mach 3+ jets, and, IIRC, newer and more efficient propulsion systems are being researched all the time for anything needing propulsion to function in its proper role. NASA has the quite the load of concepts and prototypes when it comes to propulsion for instance. And of course...
The government and especially militaries are *always* hiding things from everyone using any methods they can without giving themselves away. Fibbing included. Lots of fibbing...
So I'm not gonna say Mach 8 Triangle UFO exists yet, but if it DOES, I wouldn't say I'm surprised.

      @stickiedmin6508 8 років тому

While it's a nice fantasy to imagine that they carried on building and flying ultra fast jets after the Blackbird family, it's just not realistic.
Aside from the technological and metallurgical impossibilities mentioned by Mr Spookabunny, why would any nation carry on sinking insanely huge amounts of money into designing and building a system that they would have *zero* use for?
Why bother with a hypersonic spy plane when boring, mundane satellites can get you better pictures, in less time, without needing to put a pilot and / or airframe at risk?
There might be the odd occasion where they'd need overhead surveillance of a specific place, at a specific time, outside of the satellite's reach or timetable, but would it be worth keeping these fantasy jets flight ready, with the ludicrous amounts of maintenance and prep work they'd require, on a secret base staffed by secret (and expert) employees and guarded by secret soldiers?
Today, I think of things like the "Aurora" as being like Santa Claus - it'd be lovely if they were real, but unfortunately, dull and boring real life has no place for them.

Now you know about this one but you do not know about the new crafts that's classified. I know a little of the new projects that are in testing faze now. Those are so futuristic you wouldn't believe me. Wing shape change. Micro tubing to fix holes. Faster, lazers, can take off in water. Absolutely amazing. Sr72 is out already. Myself and 2 others who all together have about 80 yrs total in aviation spotted a unidentified craft about 1 yr ago. We guestimated it was 10 thousand agl and moving very quickly possibly approaching M1. What was eerie is it made no sound. At that alt and speed we were expecting to be boomed or at least hear a roar but nothing. Craft was not black but light color possibly white. Very streamlined, tear drop shaped with no vertical surfaces, tail, winglets etc. If our alt guess was close the craft was probably med sized approx f-15 sized. Also, my co pilot and I in the early 80s saw what we found out later was the B2 Stealth operating just S of Shaw AFB SC more than 5 years before it was made public. Very active MOA areas and high speed airways in my area.

I've seen 'donuts on a rope' contrails before but assumed it was atmospheric distortion on the contrails. In San Antonio, just about a week ago there was a full moon and as I drove down the street, I saw a contrail and blinking lights on an aircraft. Although dark, I could see the object creating the contrail as a dot zooming across the sky at incredible speed. It must have been extremely high in the sky and the weird part is I heard no noise, even after I slowed down and pulled down the window to try finding it among the treetops.

  • @princealigorna7468

Aurora seems to be a codename for a group of different projects. What we normally think of as Aurora seems to be something similar to the recently announced SR-72. In fact, I'm pretty certain it is the SR-72. But this umbrella project seems to include a bunch of drone programs. The RQ-3 seems to be involved, but things really start to get strange when we think about the TR3 Black Manta, and the even more mysterious TR3b Astra, The main thing that seems to unify all these projects though is that they are all fixed delta wing craft. They all have that triangular shape.
Which means that everything involved under this Aurora umbrella is likely the cause of most or all the triangular ufo sightings over the past 35 years

When we last communicated a few years ago when asked what he is now flying he said it was top secret. All he would divulge was that the plane is quite small, flies really high and on really long missions. Also, he flies out of Pensacola which is a Navy base. I suppose he could take off directly over the Gulf of Mexico there without flying over land. I believe he is flying the SR 71 replacement. I bet whoever flies this will get their astronaut wings.

while I was stationed in Okinawa Japan In 1979 and 1980 the sr 71 was stationed at Karen's air force Base and we could see it from time to time so it couldn't have been that secret because Japanese civilians were on the base all the time and who knows what other people just off base could see it. so it wasn't that big of a secret at the time. the Russian properly even knew a lot of the specs of the jet because we were shown pictures of the jet when I got my top secret clearance to show us how vernable information was from the sky. Jane's publication was famous at the time for publishing information about top secret military hardware. In Okinawa Japan the Japanese civilians called it the habu after a snake on the island and could see it take off and land. it's very hard to hide something like that on such a small island such as Okinawa Japan.

They've been flying hyper-sonics since the late 80's. At least 2 type are thought to have flown. One is the black arrowhead shape discussed in this video. The other looks like a flattened football; sometimes refered to as a pumpkin seed shape (this is the one with the PDW propulsion which leaves the donuts-on-a-rope contrail). An excellent animation of the aircraft is on UA-cam.
These are our best guesses of what's up there. What we don't have a clue about is the current status of these aircraft. Are one or both in operation? Were they just proposals which didn't go beyond the test program? One thing for sure; the hyper-sonics are hyper-secret, and will likely remain so for a very long time.

Call me crazy if you want, but I saw something triangular flying very high in the sky while visiting Orlando last year. It was moving in a straight line at a speed that I have no way of comparing to modern commercial or know. Military aircraft. It made no sound and left no contrail.
I would not have even seen it had it not been for a good friend of mine spotting it while looking up. It took a moment for me to find it in the sky but at about the time I did find it it was already well on its way to be long gone. I was amazed.
I have been associated with aviation since 1986 and have served in the military and still serve in the aviation community. What I saw I have never been able to identify or compare with modern aviation technology.
I have wondered if what I saw was the Aurora, or something else altogether. But I did see something and it was intelligently designed and under intelligent operation. I believe that It was not a meteor or other space debris nor anything naturally occurring in the world.

Regarding the "doughnuts on a rope" images, it seems fairly compelling that this would be produced by some unique kind of propulsion system (e.g. a PDE) but this is not the case. Years ago, when flying model planes, I noticed that a standard passenger jet flew over head, leaving a typical looking contrail. About ten minutes later, I happened to look up (to watch some other model being flown) and noticed that the contrail had taken on the form of "doughnuts on a rope". So it was just some atmospheric phenomenon nothing special at all. I took a photograph of it and just checked it again today. It clearly matches the images in this video. I've no idea how it happens but it's just a normal occurrence.

Plans were in place for it to fly at Mach 9 and the design was almost identical to the SR-91 AURORA depictions we see online except the cockpit was more angular. I saw it. 13 years ago above Prince Nevada. About 12,000 feet above the ground I think, slow, with 2 silver jets on either side. I made them to be T 38 but not at all sure. Heading north above clouds, I heard the strange sound, looked up, and saw this formation cross through an opening in the clouds. No contrails on the T 38s. donuts on a rope, mostly just dots, from the black triangle in the middle. Black plane just a bit longer than the T 38s. About the same "wing" span. Then the chase planes broke off left and right and the Black plane turned sharply left, west, and broke out a heavy contrail. Still with donuts. After a full 180 turn the chase planes came back into formation and the formation disappeared above the clouds. NO sonic boom, "slow" turn. Perhaps 400 MPH or less. But very sharp! Turning radius perhaps 1.5 miles. Then in about half an hour, they came back. Same maneuver same place.

They come in a series, one after he other.
Nearby bases used to have SR-71s, but we have been told it is the Sierra Army depot blowing up old munitions that generates the sound.

I love the idea that "Aurora" was completely unrelated to any aerospace development but the public have made it into this fantastic super secretive aircraft that doesn't exist.
Even better if the skunk works staff were looking at these ideas going "we wish it was a flying aircraft".
    Who knows?
Quite a few people out there will know exactly what the "aurora" was on the budget sheet, but even if they tell the world, people will doubt them.
It's been blown into something so large, only the extraordinary will suffice. "Oh, it was the entire Skunk works electricity bill" just won't cut the mustard with many.
Either way, we know from the 30 years following on from the early 90s that MANY black projects are actually unmanned aircraft or in the case of Boeing, many were space vehicles.
The Aurora may have even been the name for a ground prototype only and never actually flew.

+Sauron Merciful The USAF doesn't have to admit anything. Lockheed is developing the SR-72 so why all of this other bullshit? Why? Because some people are never happy unless they believe there is something "big" going on. I think it's two type of people:1. the kooks and it doesn't matter what you tell them because they will cling to anything that feeds that inner whatever, schizophrenia, schizo affective, life suck and they need something to displace the problems. 2. the people that hope or wish so fervently that there is a huge massive city deep underground somewhere (antartica?), or that the aliens are here and always have been helping us along, that enough alien craft have crashed and we are reverse engineering technology, ....I have a great imagination I could just keep going and going. Why does the government keep things secret? Really? You do understand how Stalin and thus Russia gained jet technology and nuclear technology right? After WW II we gave it to them in the spirit of friendship. Then they gave us the finger and dropped an iron curtain across europe. Why do we keep secrets? because people singularly (some of us) are greedy pieces of crap and quite willing to screw their country for profit. Why keep secrets? If the Existence of Vladimir Putin doesn't answer that question then you need to wake up.

    • @fffreddie

Absolutely, that and much more. My brother told me of a small helicopter that flew silently that was used for reconnaissance in Vietnam. That has yet to be disclosed. I saw footage of a CH-53 helicopter doing a roll and loop in boot camp (Marines 1977) and that technology has been recently released. So who knows what special aircraft that are flying about. I'm not sure if they have an anti-gravity craft operational yet but there was a patent on it. All I could figure from it was you needed two opposing magnetic fields operating against each other for flight. It would have to have some powerful engines of some type to generate that much magnetic forces. Who knows maybe they do since some of UFO's seen have erratic movements. It would take quite of bit of skill to operate one like learning to drive a stick shift or motorcycle. With the computers we have today that problem may have been corrected. But I wonder if the magnetic forces would work in space?
