- Hello Planterior Decorators! 🌿
I'm finally showing you a little behind-the-scenes of my plant styling! I started with a mini bathroom reno I did a few months ago. This is the absolute most basic SketchUp commands to make it easy for anyone to use - the software is capable of much more but I wanted to make it usable for all.

P.S. sorry for the bad audio on the tutorial portion, my mic didn't connect for some reason. I'll fix that issue for the next one!
You are such a delight: beautiful, elegant, natural, and so intelligent - and a plant lover on top of that! I am so happy to have found your channel and will be increasingly happy to see how your world grows larger and more people discover this wonderful, enriching, experience with you!
Thank you so much 🥰 I'm glad you found me too!
This is my favorite video so far. My plant obsession is becoming a crazy collection so it's a goal of mine to have my plant babies live seamlessly in the space instead of all cluttered together on a couple tables. More vids like this please! 😍
I LOVED this! I’ve always wondered how people did those 3D sketches and had no idea it was so easy!
Thank you for showing this cool site and how to navigate it. I love changing my spaces and I draw the floor plans and make copies but I'll be using this now, way more fun and accurate haha. Love how your space turned out.
If you end up testing it out you'll have to show me what you come up with! 🥰🪴
This was truly one of the best SketchUp demos I've seen. Thanks!
Thank you! I tried to keep it to the most basic commands to make it very easy - glad you liked it!
Love this! Cannot wait to play with this program.
OMG, definitely downloading this..love it. Cant wait for when you move to see what you do.
I loved that! Always wondered how to do those things, I honestly learned from watching that than getting help from one of the kids! Thanks, cant wait til you get in the new place to see more!
Glad it was helpful!! Thank you so much, I can't wait either!
Thanks for checking out Episode 1 of 'Planterior Decor'! 🛋🪴
Have you tried playing around with SketchUp? Be careful! It's highly addictive!!! 😆
It totally is like "The Sims for adults!" I am definitely going to have to give this a try. My place needs serious help. haha
It's actually so much fun 😆👏🏻
So creative
Oh I'm totally excited to try out sketch up now! Our front entryway closet is a nightmare but I haven't seen pictures of a similar space for a diy makeover. Thanks for sharing💜
yesss..!!! sketchup is the most easiest software to use, even for non architecture background
Just about to purchase (more calatheas) when your video notice popped up! Putting credit card away temporarily lol.
So helpful! I'm literally the worst when it comes to planning out a space
Quick SketchUp Tip for the Newbies: if you’re unsure about furniture placement and want to rearrange things, make the furniture a “group” (Edit>Group or Right Click>Group). You’ll be able to move the furniture around a lot easier, especially if you want to see it in several different locations!
Yes very easy tip! I'll certainly show that off in the future when I'm truly designing a space and not showing an already finished one haha 😁 thanks!!
Love how you geek ou on Sketchup hihi will def give it a try when i need to redecorate 💚
bahaha I really tried to dumb down SketchUp to its most basic commands to keep it simple 😆 it's actually such a cool program, you can do so much!
@@PlanteriorDecorator Much appreciated!! Some design tools can be real hard to learn and not intuitive at all 😅
OMG... thanks....I really enjoyed this... you are a great teacher.....
Nice!! We need to use this for our kitchen!
This was seriously such a cool and helpful video!!! I can’t wait to see more like this!
Thank you!! More will be coming for sure!! :)
Interesting. Thanks for taking the time.
Omg, THANK YOU!! I love That Video! I would love to see more of that kind 🥰
There will certainly be more!! Episode 1 of many 😁
Great demo! It looks so good!
Thanks!! Much better than the original mess! Whoever thought exposed metal shelves were a good idea was mistaken 😆
I have to try this now!
This was fun. Great video 👍
sketch up looks like fun. have you considered doing a skillshare on it? id love a tutorial for beginners
This was awesome! Thanks!
I'm shocked Sketch up can be that easy and useful. 😅 I've tried it a few times and couldn't create anything useful. I'm gonna give it one more try cause my bathroom is the only unfinished place in my house cause I have no idea how to arrange it. Thank You!
Yes it's so easy!!! 😁🌿
This is great and timely as I have a plan floating around in my head. Thank you!
Too funny... I'm new to watching your channel, but have watched a few and knew you were all about inside plants. Then I started watching this one that seemed more like a tutorial on sketchup, and it was interesting, but I wondered why you were doing this video. Then you got to it at just after the 9 minute mark - now, how to fit plants in? Now I get the point of the video :-)
That was awesome, thank you 💚
Thank you Grawnya 🥰🌿
Thanks for vedeo
Fabulous sweety 🌻

Hi Glad I found you UA-cam video’s. Love how informative you have them. I love the space behind you. What a relaxing space you have created. I can picture sitting there and reading and enjoying the green jungle you have created. It that a sun room or a living room. Love the chair. Just watched the moss pole video. Those last so using wire is a great idea. What do you recommend for a Hoya to grow on? I have a Hoya that is trying to attach itself to the shelve it is on. So I know it needs something. Do Hoya’s need a moss pole or just a trellis? And what type of trellis do you recommend? I’m looking for idea’s and like your idea’s.
Thank you so much 🥰 that is my living room in my apartment, I have been lucky to have such large windows!
It depends on the hoya, you can trellis them and save the efforts of a pole! I don't trellis my hoya, I usually put them in hanging pots and let them trail 😁 but again it depends on the variety, I grow mostly trailing-type hoya like lacunosa and curtisii.
This was a great video, thanks! 🥰 Random question but what is the name of that fan looking plant behind you? It is so beautiful!
Thank you! 🌿❤
That is a bismarck palm! So gorgeous 😍
Just wondering if those cabinets held all the stuff on your old shelves?
Oh that looks sooo fun!!! Great program!!! I have sooooo many ideas already... my Hubby's wallet is going into spasms!!
As soon as I get the reno-bug, my fiance needs to prepare our accounts 😆❤
So if I can use sketch up to redesign my bathroom, I could use it to redesign my garden too!?! 😳🤔😲😀
You bet you can! I actually like to use simple linework in SketchUp for renderings in landscape design :)
I was getting excited for someone to actually use cm, m... buuuut no. 😜
I was going to but figured I'd do inches so I could show you can type in fractions 😆 what a betrayal to the superior metric system! hahhaa
@@PlanteriorDecorator Haha it’s ok, it’s ok... I believe the best thing one UA-camr can do is use one and put the conversion on the screen. ❤️
Some people just like to unlike😐
