Would love to see more videos on waterproofing, especially challenging situations. Our home is affectionately called the house in the hole by our neighbors. The lot slopes steeply from front to back. After very heavy rains we can wind up with some standing water in the trench around the perimeter of our crawl space. The lot slopes from front to back and from right to left so our foundation has steps in it. How do you put in a perimeter drain system when the perimeter is stepped? This is something I would like to do myself as the first step in dealing with our crawl space.

Biggest problem with all trade work is that you hire the best company in world, willingly paying top dollar for the job to be done right, and all it takes is one single dumbass tradesman to F-up the job. Every time you don't do the job yourself, you are rolling the dice. Sadly, in my experience, best case, you can only hope that the hire crew will do the big stuff right. None of them will handle the detail work properly like someone would do themselves on their own home. None of them. Like pre-drilling a hole so a board won't crack, air tight sealing things that should be airtight, throughly cleaning and drying surfaces prior to applying adhesives, tape, etc.
