This is the best tutorial for concrete mushrooms I’ve ever seen! You really put thought into their construction. Thank you for sharing!

I found 2 1/2 cup measuring cups made of a soft rubber for $.99 at a goodwill formed a stem out of a styrofoam cup and inserted some wire and poured it all at the same time. Demolded them yesterday and they turned out great. One of the stems tilted to the side but it looks good anyway and the molds being made of soft rubber means I can reuse them. All together they are about 4" tall I really like them. Wanted to say thanks it was a great idea

Just poured 3 of them! Can't wait to see how they turn out. I skipped the nail spikes, I decided if I wanted to sell some in my little mosaic booth that it might be a hazard if it was picked up and dropped on a foot or something! So, I am going to set them in a stepping stone base to give it more stability not to fall over....I think that will work well. Enjoyed your video! Keep up the creative crafting!

i was thinking of trying this but maybe cutting the bottom off of the long bottle {trunk} and setting it into the cement maybe witha few nails pressed in and then filling it up so its all one peice is there some obviouse reason why i shouldnt do that?

dont forget to spray the bowl with pam before putting in the cement. i didnt spray with pam and i had to throw the whole thing away. the cement didnt come out of the bowl and the bowl was hard to cut.

I love these :) Totally going to do them -- but I wonder if you could do them w/o the nails. If they'd stay up on their own? I don't like the idea of jamming nails into the ground (poor Mother Earth....)
