Izzy needs to host her own show, filmed in grocery store aisles: Amazing facts in grocery history =) Here's a super simple recipe for homemade tomato sauce: simmer some olive oil and passata (strained tomatoes, I like the bionatura brand) in a skillet until it's well cooked, add salt, done!
IZZY!!! Those cereal facts are 100% true!!! Mr. Kellogg was part of the Seventh Day Adventist religion which has a huge health focus thus, as a physician he worked at a sanitorium and tried to invent a granola with healing potential and purely by accident cereal was born. AND yes, there was a huge brother fiasco that ensued when 1 brother cheated the other. ABSOLUTELY impressive. Great job!
It’s only my father & I now after I very sadly lost my beautiful mum very suddenly on her birthday last year. People will never realise, whether you’re on your own or have a big family, how much money you save stocking up / batch cooking etc. I’m disabled, unable to work, but I do a big shop once a month for my meat, cupboard essentials etc & just get top ups when needed. Rather than putting myself in pain cooking a meal each night, I’d far rather spend 5-6 days cooking a bunch of meals, including cookie batters etc, freezing it all, & it lasting a good 4-5 weeks between us, which means stocking up like what you’ve done (although on a smaller degree, of course!) just saves so much money long term! What a score! Well done) x
Also, baking is very expensive. And, you do a lot of baking. Getting that brand of chocolate chips for $1.49 is an absolute steal. I'm glad you were able to stock up, and it looked like there was plenty for other people left. Happy baking!
I love the way you treat your children. If you just listened to your vlogs you would think they were all your children and not adopted, congratulations Heather your a wonderful mom.
@beckyryan407 - what a dumb comment. Reread it. "You would think they're all your children, not adopted." How do you not understand your prejudiced ignorance?
What a wonderful grocery haul!! Loved the amazing value you got with the chocolate chips that was such a fun festive surprise!! Love when commonly used items or items you’ve run out of go on sale at the perfect time
We have two persimmon trees . Took 15 years before they start bearing fruit. But so worth it . We sell them to local stores in town . I enjoy mashing them and using using the mash to sweeten cookies .
When I saw the huge amount of baking chip bags in the shopping cart, I immediately thought about the expiration date. I just learned that this product has a very long shelf life....like going into 2025!
These are absolutely amazing! No, they do not taste like chemicals, they are like a actually named peanut butter and jelly sandwich when you pull them out and dive them where and I can tell you cannot put them in the microwave. You just pull them out, let them fall out for about 30 minutes out sit in room temperature. Open the map and enjoy, however, to save yourself some money. If you do get someone, decide you like them and are going to be buying a lot of them going to Amazon. Look for the uncrustable sandwich tool it will pull it up. It's just a circular thing with capability to crimpet around the edges or find something circular. Use that and then crypt it yourself with a fork, maybe. Make a sandwich just like you would peanut butter jelly and use that tool. And you'll save yourself a lot of money. Because the tool is 7 bucks now. When I Google the uncomfortable that they pre make and sell like that. There's a few different players. There's plenty and peanut butter on knock off in the hell up and peanut butter, strawberry jam. And peanut butter and grape jam and peanut butter. That smoker's mix I think you will definitely enjoy that!
Heather, I know you love cooking and baking for your family .. but have you ever tried making trail mix for your family? You can add some of your different flavored chips in with an assortment of nuts, some mini pretzels, shredded coconut, dried fruit, and granola .. it's so good. And since you usually buy in bulk, you save alot of money rather than buying pre-made trail mix.
Webstarted eating one or two golden kiwi for gut health and they have alot of vit c. I habe Crohns and I can tolerate them since they dont have many seeds. Plus they are sweeter. Great trip!
Merry Christmas. I have a delicious spaghetti sauce recipe. We can between 40-50 quarts of it a year and use it in a lot of stuff. Happy to share if you would like it.
@@melanytodd2929 Here is my recipe: 1/2 Bushel of tomatoes (25lbs). We like to use Roma tomatoes because they have less water in them. Blanch and peel/core tomatoes Run through food processor. 8-10 garlic cloves chopped or minced OR 4tbsp minced garlic Chop together/puree in food processor: 3 large onions 2-4 hot peppers 2 green peppers 1/2 c EVOO or Veg oil 1/2 c sugar 1/4 c brown sugar 1/4 c salt 1 tbsp oregano 1 tbsp basil 1 tbsp parsley 4 6oz cans of tomato paste Add all of the above ingredients to pot and simmer for 3-4 hours--to your desired level of liquid. We like ours a little more thicker so we simmer for 4+ hours. When we use, we sometimes add a tad of water if too thick for the dish we are using it for. continuously
@melanytodd2929. The rest of the recipe: 15 minutes BEFORE it is done simmering: ADD 1/2 c of grated parm cheese Stir continuously so the cheese does not stick to the bottom of the pot. We use this sauce for pizza, lasagna, lasagna soup---anything that calls for spaghetti sauce or marina sauce.
We absolutely love uncomfortable. I know this is an older video. You might not see Let's comment, but we love the impressibles. In our family, both flavors, you cannot put them in a looser. You just let them paw and you eat them just like that. They're delicious but to save money. I spent like Seven bucks on Amazon. Bought the tool to make it myself for you. Just make sandwich and you put that Tool in the Meadow and it cars. Your moves the crust away from it, but it takes the scent. The bread, the sandwich that you're made it makes it round obviously and then it crimson together just like they used impressibles and the tools was like 7 bucks. So we started to make our own which is a lot cheaper and a lot healthier.
I recently tried the White Castle cheeseburger bites, they're pretty good cooked in the air fryer, and dipped in ketchup. They had a good flavor with the onions
I remember my childhood family of 9. We didn’t go to the grocery to buy anything but flour, tea and sugar. We grew it but didn’t have fresh unless in season. 900 jars in the cellar one year. If our world keeps up this high processed food dependence, our world is going to the chemical food. We will be eating our food from a tube. Maybe I will be gone by then.
Interesting facts their Izzy..lol here is one for you..the Biedenharns are responsible for bottling coke..and their house and one of their musuems is actually local to my area.

Have you ever read about the history of ketchup? Craziness!
That was awesome! She’s just spitting facts.
I learned this watching a marathon of the food that built america while I was in the hospital. It's a super interesting series.

Your going to have so many great meals. Yum. Merry Christmas Bells.
3 years ago you would have had 4 carts for $1,000. I hate this inflation. But this was a very nice haul!
Izzy this old lady learned from you 😂
I like to do early morning shopping, not a lot of people in the store.
Sending Love ❤

Merry Christmas from Connecticut!😊
What a deal!
Good video.
If I was a cashier and saw you coming....I'd run and hide.......too much work!
Uncrustables are just a bit too soft for me. But I was the kid that liked eating the crusts on their sandwiches and bread. I still like chewy bread!
Check the cereal ingredients for something called trisodium phosphate or tsp.. which is a chemical used in cleaners, paint thinners, detergent etc

Merry Christmas and happy new year
I found on Amazon a cutter to make homemade uncrustables. Saves a lot of $$
Why not just cut the crust off?
@@catherinemartinez5542the cutter from Amazon also “seals” the edge, like on the “store bought” item.
Where do you and Izzy get your energy! Love ya!💕👏

Merry Christmas ⛄🎄
Merry Christmas
Yay another shopping haul!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS ✨🎄🎁
Chips are great for a candybar substitute
You must have a million MPoints stored up from all the trips to Meijers 😂
Merry Christmas
Let me scan your receipt for my fetch rewards 😭😂
My question is how do you afford all this food you have to buy all the time? Plus the star bucks coffee? You guys must be very rich.??
They own several businesses and they get paid for UA-cam. Plus I’m almost positive you get $ for adopting children and they adopted 7 of them.
My sister makes pasta sauce that we use for pasta or pizza
♥️💖♥️
Did you leave any chips for other people?
Grocery stores are always first come, first served. When you go to the grocery store, you can buy whatever's on the shelf if you want. 😊
Morning. Which grocery had the chips on sale
Izzy Is quit funny
Just curious about the total of your hauls
How did Izzy get in to that family
Can you post your frustrated monkey bread recipe
Uncrustables are good.
Do you have a Costco in your area?
