I was in Guadalcanal but by then (in 77) it was a peaceful backwater of the British Commonwealth. At that time the streets still featured small plaques identifying the various battles and the arrangement of U.S. troops. A couple of visits later the plaques were gone, I suppose the number of U.S. visitors had dropped, or perhaps the man maintaining the plaques had left the island. On my first visit I climbed Henderson Field control tower, by my last visit it was no longer safe.
The people who do these videos are using a reasonable American voice in numerous videos. Unfortunately the American voice usually mispronounces Guadalcanal most of the time. The video creators have never, as far as I know, explained their methodology. They do strange things such as having a picture from the European war as the cover on an Asian war video. They give no credit for the material that they are using. The creators did a video series using Michner's Tales of The South Pacific. This is a work of fiction. No mention where the story came from. Michner died in 1997 but he deserved to be recognized. This book was immortalized by the Broadway musical South Pacific. Also a great movie in 1958. I saw the movie when it came out.

The prose is a mite precious, but I'll stay the course.
You remember your dreams you poor fellow I have them but usually I don't remember them though I do know what they were about
Why use the pseudo English voice for an American?
You must be new to these channels.
