Hey I just wanted to say that I just started doing research on Fujifilm Cameras and I cannot be happier. I’ve come across a lot for great photographers and found a lot of great content! Thanks so much for all the great work!
ha ha, maybe it comes with age. I'm the same, although I was forced to buy my Ricoh GR-1 in silver, although I really wanted the black... in the end, I love the silver more, but it took 20 years!
I find that the rangefinder silhouette makes photographers super insecure while any other shape smaller than the single digit bodies make them sneer slightly. Inversely I did get a neighbor asking me if I was a cop the same day I removed the battery grip from my a7 and tried the kit lens. I'm assuming he had been wondering for a while but abstained from asking until that moment.
Finaly, Fuji is releasing proper manuals, that's the big info in this video : ) The french XT1 manual has the same thickness as the english version. There must be a difference in the printing, sentences are not twice longer!
My preference for any camera that I've owned has always been the all black version. Ever since the very first camera. So with the X100s I waited until I got hold of the black, and both my X-T1 and X-T2 are black as well. It's just a personal preference that also goes well with the fact that I like to be more discreet shooting on the street and I often shoot after dark. That being said, I do like the silver and black combination and when you turn that into a graphite look with nice soft contrasty shades of grey, I love it, it's stylish and it screams top quality. I wish Fuji would come up with a premium kit (for a 10th anniversary or so) with lenses and all accessories in the same graphite look. Wouldn't that be something? :-) Thank you for sharing, Take, and looking forward to a more in depth review of the XF 50mm f/2, which has turned out to be a favorite of mine in that "Fujicron" trio.
I prefer the black version for the same reason. I do street a lot. However, the new X-Pro2 Graphite Edition is one beautiful camera. It is also darker than the X-T2 Graphite Edition so if it were the same price as the black X-Pro2 I would probably get the Graphite.
Xt-2 graphite silver looks great, but for me it has two weaknesses towards the black one, it is more noticeable ( sometimes good especially to open a conversation, but usually not good for street photography) and surely less "stealthy", to my understanding... But one beautiful retro camera, like - and maybe even more than - the black one.
i had the xt1 in graphite and dont liked it, so i sold it, got a black one and than the xt2 in black, looks pretty fine. i like the silver of the 100F, wish they would use this on the XT2. the xpro graphite looks more okayish.
Since you asked I think that the Graphite Silver looks like a mismatch with the black lens. Sad as the Graphite Silver body is beautiful. I like the darker Graphite X-Pro2. That color is incredible and I think would work better with black lenses. Plus you get at least one matching lens. I think the Graphite looks like the Mamiya 7 Graphite color.
ya, it's the same issue people have with silver or black Leica bodies with silver or black lenses.... some like the mismatch look, others hate it. For me it totally depends. I don't mind the black lens on the GS body, but I don't like a silver lens on a black body. But I know guys who like it the other way around!
I didn't really like the look of the graphite when I was looking at it from that downward facing perspective. Maybe it was the lighting. But after the video switched to the front facing perspective that graphite looks way more impressive.
It's interesting to me still how these X-T(x) SE models are pretty much everything the Nikon Df wishes it was. :) I'm personally not an X fan or user (for reasons I won't bore anyone with) but I do appreciate their design sensibilities.
This video is really wonderful! I have a question want to consult! Which one i should buy about fuji xt2 & leica Q? Leica q is a bit expensive but it's a frame camera, I'm a beginner, hope to receive your counsel! Thank you very much!!!
Their colors are great! But I've been obsessed with picture! I'm a college graduate, i can afford to buy fuji, buy some difficulties in leica, but the leica is a kind of feelings ,i need to work hard! Which one i should buy? Their imaging is really very difference?
both great cameras, but the X-T2 makes more sense if you're not sure which camera to buy. The cost to you would be less, and you have the ability to buy the right lens. With the Leica Q, you are stuck with the 28mm lens.
I prefer the colours of the Fujifilm. The film profiles are fantastic. The Leica Q also has punchy colours, but the Fujifilm gives you more variety of film profiles.
Why can't modern DSLR's look this great? I feel like they're seriously lacking in terms of design appeal but I guess that's not a huge requirement for most people.
Nobody stopped me because of my X-Pro1 yet but I often catch those curious looks from people passing by. Definitely a camera that attracts attention. Same goes for the X-Pro2. Thanks for the review of the X-T2 Graphite Silver Take! It is a beautiful camera!
Beautiful camera however design wise I wish Fuji would not put their name on the front like that. Looks cheap and doesn't fit the over all great looks.
I love the Fuji camera image quality - I have the Fuji X100 and all my pictures on my website has been taken with this camera. But to be honest I always feel that the Fuji cameras are kind of fake - they feel fake. They look great but in your hand they just feel like plastic compared to an old 35 mm metal RF camera. I feel that fuji could make it better but I guess it would cost too much. But im again im pleased with the image quality.
I love the Fuji gear, so please keep those products coming through Fuji!
in dimm light it is very difficult to read the numbers on the dials, so i like the black version much more!

X-T2 with the X-Pro2's graphite look would be amazing
I think so too :-)
Looks great, together. Back in the film days ,I always wanted a black camera... Now I like the retro look, of the silver bodies....

Wow, thats for sure a real beauty!
So jealous! I lust after the X100F in silver.
Thanks for the review.. The silver looks amazing
I love it with the booster! Looks like the Nikon FM2 silver body and grip.
All black grip does clash with the body imo.
Finaly, Fuji is releasing proper manuals, that's the big info in this video : )
The french XT1 manual has the same thickness as the english version. There must be a difference in the printing, sentences are not twice longer!
I really like the functionality and the look of the xt2 especially the silver...One day i might sell my Nikon d810 and my gear and jump to fuji

I would agree but in the case of the 100F it looks great in silver.

It is pretty sharp! Loving your Fujifilm reviews😉 Thanks!
I don't like the silver on the back around the screen and buttons, looks toy-ish to me somehow
that's what i thought too

The original black X100 was a special edition.
The dials on the black body look much clearer.

Still prefer the darker graphite colour of the X-Pro2
Exactly! That is one beautiful camera!
Please..someone tell me the name of that strap? Or where I can find something similar?
Barton 1972 Straps
Excellent video as always.

+Eyewanders Foto yes you can tell photographers designed the X series. Billy told me one of them is a long time Minolta employee.
@bigheadtaco
I wanna get the same red strap (rope style). Info please. Thx

My English is not good ! Please excuse me!😀

Where did you get your camera strap from at the start of the video in the picture?
It's from Barton1972 in Hong Kong. You can buy it online here: www.barton1972.com/braided-asiana.html
Still prefer the original black. Both are awesome, though.
It is beautiful
Man i hate battery grips on these retro-bodied cameras.
The battery grips is what makes them looks so good and nice!
Getting my Graphite next week...
nice!!
Hey nice review, Check out the Rode ntg-4+ I'm sure it could help with the intense echo :)
thanks for tip!
Sub Pop hat, timeless xD
more cool video
Hi BigheadTaco great video. Btw you could try to make the lighting in the room a bit softer.
there is so much to like about all of them :)
Nobody stopped me because of my X-Pro1 yet but I often catch those curious looks from people passing by. Definitely a camera that attracts attention. Same goes for the X-Pro2. Thanks for the review of the X-T2 Graphite Silver Take! It is a beautiful camera!

Don't like the graphite with the grip. It doesn't math and looks really cheap. Love the X-Pro 2 though
Beautiful camera however design wise I wish Fuji would not put their name on the front like that. Looks cheap and doesn't fit the over all great looks.
Yes yes, like the X-Pro2....that's what I like about how it looks straight on..... you can't tell what brand you're shooting with
I like the company representing their brand name. I love FUJIFILM!
You like to talk man. You stopped taking off the bag just to chat about a battery lol. But this color looks amazing.
Can't do this if you don't like talking :-) Thanks for watching
It's ok, I forgive you, I like Fujifilm anyway.
yet...no image stabilization build in body...or i have to pay premium for stabilization in lenses...
I love the Fuji camera image quality - I have the Fuji X100 and all my pictures on my website has been taken with this camera.
