Hell yeah. In the mid 90's bobby puleo was 1 of my absolute favorite skaters. Always remember him. The way he skated. The way he held his arms. Sick style.

One of my favorites skaters .. for sure Bobby Puleo, at Mad Circle, he does not drop in his knees to do a trick and just so smooth and that ..it´s real style for me... if you still check that video part at Penal code... it shows that... smooth style... well done man.. nice interview!!!
Bobby Puleo or Tom Hanks in "Castaway"? Bobby P. was always one of my favorites. He has such a smooth, solid style. Anyway, this was a nice surprise.

True skaters are all geeks. Look at this guy the way he talks about skateboarding. Is a toy. Is a wooden deck on wheels and he talks about it with so much meaning,depth,importance etc. Only special people can get this attached to an object like a skateboard.
armin38822 We are geeks but the way you describe our love for it is somewhat misunderstood. Skateboardings given me confidence. It's shown me that if you put your mind to something after failing so many times than you can succeed. It's a great stress reliever, exercise and just all around fun activity. I recommend giving it a try if you haven't. You may come to find why it's brings so many of us joy. Take care

2 years too late but Gonz spent a fair amount of time in New Zealand, pretty sure he lived there for a bit.

Gonz was a full on vert pro in the 80’s. The man just doesn’t know any boundaries in skating. Saw him Ollie onto the boot of a car in 87. Try that with a deck they were riding back then. Insane.

Mark rarely entered vert contests in the 80's. That's a fact. That said, most "pro's" in the 80's, especially in the early to mid 80's were "vert pro's". It wasn't until Tommy, Mark and Natas broke the mold of what it meant to be pro by becoming the first truly "street pro's", Tommy being credited with being the first street pro, although him and Mark officially turned pro at the Oceanside street contest in '85. Natas already had his Engblom issued SMA 'face" board, although Natas wasn't officially pro yet. It wasn't until 86 that Tommy got his board and possibly as late as 87 that Vision issued Mark's "faces" graphic.

I will never forgive Bobby Puleo for starting the cellar-door skating fad around 2009.
Gonz was skating switch from the jump but so was Bill Danforth, i remember seeing Cory Obrian doing switch bonlesses but that stuff wasnt really considered switch. Gonz fell off after his early skating, when switch stance skating got more mainstream it was other skaters that made it dope and progressed skating. Gonz was progressive when he was a kid but fell off and just clowned around after Video Days for some strange reason. People are giving him too much props, The early Plan B videos were a real turning point in moderen street skating, Gonz wasnt even really a pro when switch stas nce skating really started progressing. He could have been right there with Rick Howard but he choose to be a clown instead, Gonz is rad but im just keeping it real.
The only purpose Switch serves for me is to something better fakie.

There is no such thing as skateboarding..only the negative and positives of attraction to the board and its parts..exploring its mechanisms not mechanics..its mechanics are ocular the rest is uts response to its seperation from and attraction to the ground and seed which the bearing represents..it has nothing to do with us at all..you may purpose it has to do with the bible..after all...the tree of life is the supposed origin of our first real change...so we chase or ignore the causality or casualty of the tree and seed..we also expose and explore memory..because the seed and kernel are relative...memory came before the kernel...but the skateboard is technology and remains separated from memory and the kernel to technology as a first form of information conpression and the expression of linear and nonlinear equation, time, and alphabetic process..which is matrix and appearance of order rather than order of operation and order of appearance...the reverse or inversion of the phrase shows how dynamic the differential power of yes and no are as operational terms.
