To the fellow asking about Bronco and Wrangler, factor the cost of the hard top into the Bronco if you drive on the freeway at all. The soft top is extremely loud and will cause hearing damage above 60mph.

My wife has a 23 Mitubishi Eclipse Cross and loves it. We almost bought an Outlander but we are not tech savvy and the electronic shifter was like driving a space ship.
Bolt! You can find a used one with the battery replacement done (so no safety concerns) for pretty cheap. It has more than enough range for daily commuting, decent tech, good cargo capacity, great efficiency, and, if you’re patient, can even do a moderate road trip in a pinch.

For the person you were talking about the Miata or Abarth for, you should include the first gen FRS/GT86 in that list.

I also would argue that finding a 2 door Honda Accord stick, especially with the V6, would be fun and would be a lot more reliable than some of the options like the Fiat.

Have had three alfas in my family and for the deals you can get it is well worth it and great to drive

My major concern with ev and new combustion automobiles is privacy. Do you the consumer want to pay for governmental agency's to be able to track you, watch you and listen to you at all times? These guy will never mention this because they will be replaced

In Canada, Ford has massive incentives on the F150 (0% financing on STX), Bronco Sport, Bronco and Escape (0.99%) so deals are coming back just on financing. There is also a ton of discount on top of that. I feel like that will continue for most brands as everything is just far overpriced for what it is. Excited to see prices drop as the used market will start to drop harder as well.

The cheap lease on the Nissan wouldn’t be bad if you don’t go over the mileage limit. But honestly she’s going to enjoy something simple with not worrying about gas and you can take the money saved and use for a down payment on something else.
Otherwise, going with a Civic or HRV would be my choice for a lease.
Since the Expedition only has 2 rows of seats, there should be plenty of room in the trunk.

Mazda took the playbook from VW. The Atlas came out, and then VW announced the "Atlas Cross" which is a slope back. You lose all the cargo space of the boxy rear of the actual Atlas. I never understood why. So Mazda sounds like they are doing the exact same thing.

the bronco sport has framed glass doors, which are better than the Bronco for off roading. frame the full size bronco windows which will increase sales with off roaders.

Nathan, good luck in that dusty old Expedition with $7/gallon gas. Why would you EVER return to Commie-California after escaping and making a better life for yourself? I understand it may be best for TFL, but there's no way in hell it's best for you and your family. My wife and I and our four children would never return to that hellhole. Not ever. Our lives have improved dramatically since leaving Orange County in the summer of 2016.

You can tell they are desperately holding onto their ford money. The bronco sport is shit! Missing bolts in the rear end? Good job ford going to Mexico. For half of what a sport cost I can get a toyota fj cruiser, 4runner or g460/470 and have a waaaaay better off roader
Exactly, EVs are not for everyone, but the person that doesn't want to do maintenance or stop at a gas station and just commute to work grocery store etc, just something to drive, especially for a second vehicle. Very convenient. We have a camper we pull with our 1500 series truck and combustion car for a around Towner. So an EV would be a second vehicle for me in the future. I don't care about the political end of EVs just convenance and they are zippy
that's what my husband did. he drives a chevy bolt euv! we are saving huge amount of money on fuel and maintenance.
I get those aspects but can’t comprehend pulling the trigger on something that depreciates that quickly and is obsolete just as fast…lease yes, purchase, heck no.
