lol wtf she's going around calling Unique a shemale and a "gender confused boy in a dress" but the second Finn accidentally used a bad word bc he was mad, and apologised straight away, hes the bad guy. I hate the way the show portrayed Unique tbh, they just confused people's views on the trans community when they could've empowered it and raised awareness.
+AnimeOtaku bitch unique is a woman no matter what you fucking say. if unique says she is a woman you don't have to agree but PLEASE respect that and call unique a woman or if you don't feel comfortable with that, call her they. and also what do cats have anything to do with this lol

@@morningivy Unique is a female in here. She identifies as a female so she's a female. If someone thinks they're a specific gender, then respect them and their decisions instead of being rude. If everyone respected everyone in this world, then we wouldn't even be having all these dumb provlems between humans. Tbh. This is why I love Glee. Just remember when Finn died, Sue had nothing but positive, good things to say about him (yes I know this is a show and that is the context of what I am saying it in). Finn screwed up but in the end, it doesn't appear Sue held it against him forever about it.
What's really heavy about this scene is that this is one of the few times in the series where Sue was genuinely hurt. After Finn said that, she didn't storm out of the office and start throwing stuff (and students) around while "O Fortuna" played. She quietly walked out of the room, and, I suspect, went to her office and cried. Finn really hurt Sue here.
It’s always hard because you know Finn never means the words he says, like when he called Kurt’s lamp “f*ggy” and this for example. His acceptance of everyone including Unique shows that however he just struggles with his words
Yes and no. To a certain extent that's true and easy to understand. We all make mistakes and it's fine since we're just humans - but there is a line there. I mean, calling names is always bad but some slurs are seriously vile - toxic and harmful, stigmatizing. For instance. A lamp being called "f*ggy" - ok, that's mean and nasty, but not venomous. But calling a disabled person or a person with special needs as a r*tarded? That's just horrible. Saying it means that the person actually thinks that way. That the other person is broken/a failure/f*cked up. THAT'S what this is about - this is the core of it all. We need to change this way of thinking in our society. Different people matter too - and we can succeed despite all. I myself have ADD and even though I'm doing just fine (beginning to work on my master thesis this autumn), I struggle with my self-esteem constantly because of the challenges it causes me. And dear lord, if someone would call me that slur... it would hurt like hell. I'm tough and been through a lot so I'd get over it with time but some of us are more on the edge. That kind of language can do a lot of damage. Todays society should know better.
@@flav2689 Except the idea that "retarded" means "fucked up" literally came from the people who decided to start taking offense on behalf of others. Retardation is simply delayed mental development. It's also a musical term. The fact that it isn't used anymore is irrelevant. The term "ADD" isn't used more either, and I doubt you just offended anyone. Also, while ADHD is a class of intellectual disability, I don't think it really fell under the umbrella of how mental retardation was defined in the DSM. So, you're just kind of taking someone else's problems and making them your own. Also, before "retardation," the acceptable legal terms for mentally disabled people were "idiot," "imbecile," and "moron." So, if you've ever used any of those words, you were using a slur. Enjoy that fun fact of the day.
I don't think they did tho, at this point. The person playing Unique/Wade was on the glee project and wanted to portray not knowing what gender they wanted to be, instead going between both genders, to show a more nonbinary part of transitioning before going fully by "she"
This has always been finns problem. He's a sweetheart but when someone pushes him too far he says things he doesn't mean out of anger and they're often cruel... Like when Kurt was crossing the line and he said faggy, or when he called Brittany stupid, or when Santana bullied him to the point that he outed her." He always tried to go above and beyond to make up for it though
Let's all be honest here. Sue can be a real jerk, but she always cares for the students. It's not that she doesn't respect Unique, she just worries that going on stage will lead to even more bullying for Unique. She doesn't want things to get out of hand like it did with Kurt. This time, I actually agree with Sue. She's just looking out for the students.
Shannon Sunshine did you watch it? Because that’s most certainly not true, yes sue was rude and a bully but she was helping those kids see that not everyone is all nice and sunshine and all your dreams are gonna come true if you just believe, no sometimes the world is a rude and scary place with rude and scary ppl and that what she was portraying she didn’t want Unique to play the part because that backlash Unique would get
Watching this scene I understand Finn's point of view. The R word is an outdated word that used to be used frequently for a description of someone with special needs. It then became offensive when people would replace words like "stupid" and "dumb" with r*****. The R word only used to be used as a medical term for people who were diagnosed with a special needs by Doctors its Medical Language that is only not offensive when it is used to diagnose people. I don't think Finn deserves as much hate as he is getting because he apologized, and most people don't. It's sad but true, I know because I have someone very close to me that has Down syndrome like Sue's baby
My best friend has Down syndrome, we’ve known each other since preschool, which was twelve years ago. Back then, I didn’t know there was anything different about her. But then we grew up, and I saw how other people treated her, and It broke my heart. Hearing someone kind and loving get called such a hateful word, it’s so unfair that it happens.
Kind of thought Finn learned his lesson after using the words 'fag/faggy' but nope. I would accept his apology and not see it as actual hate towards the disabled, but I'd never let my guard down with him either after seeing how venomous he can be. Then again, going off clips. Don't follow the show. But I respect it
This was Sue's fault. She would ALWAYS AND I MEAN ALWAYS, push and push and push and push and push and push and push and push people with her rude, disrespectful, inconsiderate, tereible words to the point wherw they FINALLY snap and say something awful and sometimes unforgivable. Then she jumps back and plays the victim. It ain't right.
but he made the good point? even if he used a word he shouldn’t have, he was right. he was calling out sue for her hypocrisy. finn was the only one who really helped unique here at all. also this is what, one of 3 times anyone has ever apologized on glee? lmao
Why did he have to bring an innocent baby into this? He couldn’t have said something rude to Sue? Cause Sue just called Unique a shemale. Finn should’ve dissed Sue, not Robin. Also, Finn isn’t the only bad one here. Sue was just calling Unique a man before so they both messed up here.

Sue always kind of liked the glee club and even acknowledged it that she would constantly challenge the glee club to make them stronger, stood up for a bullied victim, and felt sympathy towards Santana being outed.
Why are people arguing over this lol Yes, Sue has said things before & hardly apologized, but deep down she cared for them all even Finn, remember what she's said about him in The Quarterback later. People talk fast when they're mad to a point where they say something they don't mean & Finn reacted to that fast & immediately apologized. Yeah, it was wrong for him to say that but you can tell he didn't really mean it.
This and the one with Kurt are the only real times when Finn really lost it, but to be real : He was fighting for Unique and something like this can happen to anyone and I'm sure that everyone here had on of those moments, when they talked faster than the thought... At least he realized it and said sorry
This is one of the many reasons that I don’t like Finn. He outed Santana, he was homophobic towards Kurt, he was extremely hypocritical when it came to relationships and cheating, and he was ableist towards Sue’s baby. And even after all of that, he rarely apologised, and if he did it was insincere and he would just continue doing it. I’m sure Cory was a great guy, but Finn was just awful.
@@cff9581 sue said horrible shit all the time and NEVER apologized once. Finn always apologized either right away or soon after. He's a better person than sue.
Santana was out already, Kurt was being predatory at the time, he was a teenage boy, he didn’t mean retarded as an insult, & he literally apologized in the same scene
What made me laugh is in the next episode Finn apologizes for the word he used and Sue said he has hate in his heart...Have you met yourself Sue? Even with Finn's mistakes he still had more love in his heart than she did. God rest his soul.
back when glee actually let their characters grow and face repurcussions from problematic shit they did.....i miss how much the episodes showed learning and growth

This scene gets me so mad like point 1 Sue: just gonna correct you there is no teen pregnancy in Grease it was a false alarm! Point two: Unique is transgender and should not be called slanders like "she male" or "sexually confused boy in a dress" like that is low even for Sue! 3: Sue has done nothing to help the glee club unless you include not sabotaging them at every chance she got! But on the flip side: you never use the word r****d! Like I HATE that word with a passion! It is so wrong! xx
Finn was a horrible person. He called Kurt 'faggy,' he would laugh whenever Santana insulted Rachel, he cheated on Quinn, he outed Santana, he stole Quinn from Sam, he called Sue's baby 'retarded,', he didn't call Rachel for months and expected her to go back to her after she had moved on, he was creepy as hell to Rachel at the wedding, he beat up Brody (which was none of his business) he hardly spoke to Rachel afterwards and didn't even go see her in New York after he beat Brody and he kissed his best friend's fiancee. Finn was a dick
she did say, how to put this nicely, incorrect words to explain why he would get bullied. but yeah I agree. I keep watching it and I think the knew the reality is even if it has always been a thing in theater, it doesn't mean people wouldn't be nasty about it even though there is nothing to be upset about.
Let's all be honest. Finn (as a character) was an actual asshole. He's said and done horrible things. That being said. I love Cory and he was a good actor❤️ rip Cory
She didnt deserve that not because of her sister and with becky. Sue can be an incredible jerk most times yes but Finn needed to think before just angrily saying something completely disrespectful. Sues not innocent either I'm not saying that, she was being a little mean but they were both in the wrong.
He didn’t insult Sue, he insulted her baby. I have a baby girl with Down Syndrome and I would eviscerate anyone who mocks her. Actually, as my baby is beloved by everyone she meets, there would be a line of people ready to do damage to anyone who would mock my sweet girl. Sue was out of line, but she didn’t want Unique to be bullied.
Amy Thomasson i was about to like ur comment but i completely disagree with the end. sue was being completely transphobic with the purposeful misgendering. and so what if she just ”didn’t want unique to get bullied”? unique can make her own decisions. should we limit the visibility and rights for oppressed groups, incl. disabled folks, with the justification that we’re just looking out for them?? for example, should we not let people of color go outside in a white area because there’s a chance they’ll be targets of racism?? i don’t think that’s my right to forbid them from going out.
seeing will refer to unique as a man and just claim that having her play rizzo as “cross-gendered casting” is infuriating, i’m glad finn spoke up about her identifying as a woman.
No it’s cuz he genuinely apologizes unlike literally most of the other people who’ve done the same thing like Sue. Or when he outed Santana, Santana did the same thing to Kurt “as a joke” but that’s when people REALLY dismiss it.
To everyone saying that Sue was worst in this because she was being transphobic, I hope y’all understand that both people can be in the wrong. The only reason I see Finn being considered ‘worst’ (which in this case, there isn’t a more bad person. Both Sue and Finn are being bad people. Stop comparing slurs, all of them are bad-) because this isn’t the first time he’s fucked up by using derogatory terms. I’m glad he’s grown out of his homophobia shit but he still is using derogatory terms. And yes obviously Sue is a horrible person but I haven’t really seen her use slurs except for this scene. Maybe I’m biased because I don’t really like Finn but idk, it just seems like he still hasn’t learned that being uncomfortable or upset isn’t an excuse for saying these terms. Yeah he apologized immediately (unlike the time he described Kurts decorating as ‘faggy’ (I’m gay, please don’t @ me for typing it-) or when he outed Santana in the middle of a busy school hallway) but at this point I don’t think that’s enough anymore. He’s done this one too many times, ya know? Idk if Sue ever apologizes for calling Unique a ‘Shemale’ and all the other transphobic things. If she didn’t, shame on her and the writers. The point is both people are being shitty and I just wanna watch them sing instead of being offensive, alright?? Edit: also I realize that the moment with Santana I mentioned is the same situation. Santana and Finn were both in the wrong. But as an overweight lesbian, I feel that being outed in a homophobic area like their school and town would be worst. But that’s just my opinion, and doesn’t even relate to this video aksjskaks
I personally think that Sue is trying to protect Unique. Since she stated that they lived in Lima with some close-minded people and still being old-fashion. Ok maybe Lima is accepting gay people, but trans? Or cross gendered musical? Maybe not since Sue stated that. What Sue is trying to say that if Unique play Rizzo it will bring more harm to Unique herself, she/he will be booed and more bullied. Sue is protecting her.
I obviously hate that Finn used that word. But sues second word in her lines was idiot. idiots just as bad as what finn said in terms of insults against disabled people. also she called a trans girl a shemale. so she should practice what she's preaching before playing victim the one time someone insults her instead of insulting them.

lol wtf she's going around calling Unique a shemale and a "gender confused boy in a dress" but the second Finn accidentally used a bad word bc he was mad, and apologised straight away, hes the bad guy. I hate the way the show portrayed Unique tbh, they just confused people's views on the trans community when they could've empowered it and raised awareness.
true! It really upset me when they would call Unique a he as I am FTM and that just hits home.
Unique is gender confused tho.
+AnimeOtaku no not really because SHE identifies as a WOMAN.
+AnimeOtaku bitch unique is a woman no matter what you fucking say. if unique says she is a woman you don't have to agree but PLEASE respect that and call unique a woman or if you don't feel comfortable with that, call her they. and also what do cats have anything to do with this lol
+AnimeOtaku can you please get your head out of your ass please? I'm seriously done with transphobia in this world. I'm a trans woman so do you really think I don't know anything about this? I'm trans, you are cisgender. How would you fucking feel if I started telling that you aren't the gender that you actually are? be honest with your answer and again, pull your head out of your ass.
Finns character arc was so incredible and complex, and Cory absolutely killed it in the acting department
He apologized when sue never apologizes
- May he Rest In Peace
What Finn said was bad, but Sue called Unique a 'She Male' and even Will said Unique is 'Definitely a Guy'
that bitch at that time she was only out to very close friends, will didnt know
Unique is a man.
It shows how disgusting the real world is now and how being different can lead you to being bullied to the point you break. Glee really was ahead of its time.
@@morningivy I have to disagree. You can at least respect her pronouns. As a trans man it means a lot to just use our desired pronouns. You don't have to agree or support us, but at least give us the respect of using our pronouns.
Morning When you’re completely dismissing my entire gender? I take hormones, I’ve had surgery, its not just “dress up”, its who I am. Its not the same as someone who is a schizophrenic, I’m not delusional or psychotic. But its whatever, I’m obviously not going to convince you to give other human beings a sliver of respect. You don’t deserve respect if you can’t even say the right pronouns. Good day.
Just remember when Finn died, Sue had nothing but positive, good things to say about him (yes I know this is a show and that is the context of what I am saying it in). Finn screwed up but in the end, it doesn't appear Sue held it against him forever about it.
Besides sue desereved it for being transphobic.
How did Finn screw up?
@@unorthodoxblackgirl8112 Finn called Sue's baby (who had Down Syndrome) the R word.
1:24 Will's face expression 😂 he's like, "damn it she's right"
It’s always hard because you know Finn never means the words he says, like when he called Kurt’s lamp “f*ggy” and this for example. His acceptance of everyone including Unique shows that however he just struggles with his words
I struggle with my words. And I still manage not to say slurs. If you don't use a word you won't say it in everyday language.
He immediately apologized tho!
Danni Liliac he shouldn't have said that.
AMAYA SAPPLETON it's the character, sure the director made the "actor" say it but the character still said it.
Danni Liliac it doesn't matter he still said it you can't take words back

they misgendered unique so damn much 😭😭😭😭😭
fr it’s so sad tbh
Who is unique? sorry still learning the characters names after haven't seeing this show in a long time.
I don't think they did tho, at this point. The person playing Unique/Wade was on the glee project and wanted to portray not knowing what gender they wanted to be, instead going between both genders, to show a more nonbinary part of transitioning before going fully by "she"
Whatever nobody cares to trans ppl anyways
@@msb46 yes we do, ur weird
Sue's insults are my favourite thing is the whole series of glee. doesn't make her a good person but she is still hilarious

I can't be mad at Finn, he realized he messed up and at the same time Sue kept calling Unique trans slurs, why isn't she getting all this hate?
She was calling everyone in that room something worse than what Finn said
exactly
Lalisa T the r word and making transphobic slurs are equally bad. One is not worse than the other.
@@sofiaozuna5992 but Finn immediately apologized after. There's a difference.
Everyone loves Sue
This has always been finns problem. He's a sweetheart but when someone pushes him too far he says things he doesn't mean out of anger and they're often cruel... Like when Kurt was crossing the line and he said faggy, or when he called Brittany stupid, or when Santana bullied him to the point that he outed her." He always tried to go above and beyond to make up for it though
I'm sorry but principles figgins face throughout this whole scene including the end was priceless.😆😂😄
Finn telling Sue she wasn't being open-minded but then being so close-minded to her point of view.
But she also misgendered Unique. Even if she cared about Unique the way she showed it was completely wrong.
she handled it in the wrong way
Did you even watch the show? She didn’t give a crap about most of them
What the hell none of this is true lol
Shannon Sunshine did you watch it? Because that’s most certainly not true, yes sue was rude and a bully but she was helping those kids see that not everyone is all nice and sunshine and all your dreams are gonna come true if you just believe, no sometimes the world is a rude and scary place with rude and scary ppl and that what she was portraying she didn’t want Unique to play the part because that backlash Unique would get
You're talking about a baby though Robin can't stick up for herself 💔
Finn Apologizing just ..... "....I apologize" my heart
But I respect it
hes a teenager in america. im shocked he even bothered to apologize.
Finn is a good guy but seems to have one major flaw of saying the wrong thing at the wrong time
This was Sue's fault. It ain't right.
but he made the good point? even if he used a word he shouldn’t have, he was right. he was calling out sue for her hypocrisy. finn was the only one who really helped unique here at all. also this is what, one of 3 times anyone has ever apologized on glee? lmao
Lmao chill😂 he obviously didn’t mean it and he actually likes Becky Jackson so he definitely isn’t discriminating
Sue's roasts are the best
Why did he have to bring an innocent baby into this? He couldn’t have said something rude to Sue? Cause Sue just called Unique a shemale. Finn should’ve dissed Sue, not Robin. Also, Finn isn’t the only bad one here. Sue was just calling Unique a man before so they both messed up here.
he was mad... you use what weapons you have. Sue is not a fragile nun. But sue is right that thing called Unique has no talent. He belongs on some reality show or instagram. Virtue Signaling was what Finn was up to.
@@eduardochavacano Sue does have a weakness that doesn’t involve another person. Her hair. She hates how it’s so short and is jealous of Mr. Shues hair. Finn could’ve dissed Sue’s hair. And Unique is a she not a he.

“Don’t put this kid in danger just because you wanted make a grand gesture about how open minded you are.”

Sue is for sure not the best person, but that was totally uncalled for
Sue always kind of liked the glee club and even acknowledged it that she would constantly challenge the glee club to make them stronger, stood up for a bullied victim, and felt sympathy towards Santana being outed.
What does that have to do with this video? Sue literally spent the entire time misgendering and saying transphobic things about unique.
Why are people arguing over this lol
Yes, Sue has said things before & hardly apologized, but deep down she cared for them all even Finn, remember what she's said about him in The Quarterback later.
People talk fast when they're mad to a point where they say something they don't mean & Finn reacted to that fast & immediately apologized. Yeah, it was wrong for him to say that but you can tell he didn't really mean it.
What Finn said was wrong but the fact that sue wasn’t held accountable for calling unique a gender confused boy isn’t right either.
As much as I try to feel sorry for Finn, he keeps saying the wrong words and keeps messing up.
Omg I loved Finn (Rest In Peace Cory 😢) but I hated him so much in this scene! It's not baby's fault what happen between him and Sue
The amount of slurs Finn said and got away with is just not okay
it is OK and there is NOTHING you can do about it now!
I mean he did apologize here but I do think they could’ve done more to show why he was wrong
This and the one with Kurt are the only real times when Finn really lost it, but to be real : He was fighting for Unique and something like this can happen to anyone and I'm sure that everyone here had on of those moments, when they talked faster than the thought... At least he realized it and said sorry
Words have no more power than we give them. Take it from someone who was bullied their whole life and didn't let any of it bother them.
Ah but you don't have to give "you're under arrest" from a cop any power at all for it to still affect your life
I think everyone forgets this is a show and the writers made him say say this..😛
This is one of the many reasons that I don’t like Finn.
C FF he did apologize to her directly after though...

Even the AC turned off.

Finn was having really good opinions here, but then the writers had to fuck it up...

Let's all be honest. Finn (as a character) was an actual asshole. He's said and done horrible things. That being said. I love Cory and he was a good actor❤️ rip Cory
The way Sue looked at Finn with such absolute disappointment was bone chilling!
She deserved it tbh. And we all say things we don't mean, and Finn was just frustrated and sue has said much worse.
She called Unique a She-Male.
Tiara De Silva You don't call a baby with Down syndrome "retarded"
“Weepy man child who has no adult friends” sue 😂

Sue spent that entire time misgendering and saying transphobic things about unique, in no way was she trying to protect her.
