Sure, she was brash, but considering the rest of the adult characters, she was honestly the most responsible and admirable. Especially when you find out about her disabled sister, and how much she loves her. She's not a monster. She's just afraid of being vulnerable.
Heck, when she became principal and Kurt was being threatened, she was the only adult in the history of that show to actually respond in the correct manner and do something about it.
I recently had to finish a project which took me a few nights and I put Glee in Netflix as background noise. Whenever she and the gay dude, but specifically only with his father, got screen time, I got easily distracted. She (or the gay dude for that matter) wasn't necessarily a good person, but probably one of the more interesting characters
cant believe they wanted us to think she was the villain 😭. shes right in most situations and speaks her point eloquently, although insultingly. the only thing she lacks is tactfulness, she doesnt word things to protect others feelings. some people find that bitchy, some people are able to get past the shock and/or hurt and/or anger and dissect the meaning of what she said. she speaks pointedly and i can respect that
I never seen her as a villain when I watched this, she's practically the best and the most morally correct out of all the adults She Had Common Sense Most Of The Time!
Because her delivery was trash. If doesn't matter how right you, no one wants to and will inevitably refuse to listen to you if you act like an asshole.
The fact is that Sue doesn't go on some big emotional arc but the audience go from hating her in the first episode to her secretly being everyones favourite byyyyyy..... episode 5?

Literally my favorite character
Glee was one of thoses shows where at the time you watched it you rooted for Will and actually thought he was a great person and teacher, and dont't get me wrong his heart is usaully in the right place. but you watch Glee back again and realise he does some terrible things and you kinda understand where Sue is coming from.
Sue Silvester somehow became my comfort character.... (although I quite disagree about her dismissivness concerning Love, Actually... although I may be biased as I am British and it's one of the most "British" movies of recent time)
Sue was always the screenwriter's team's
self conscious voice on the fact that what they were making wasn't going to age that well
Sue was honestly the most real person in the show lol. She felt like a real person. When she called out Will for being a half assed teacher and told him he's so obsessed with glee club but ignores the band, YESS SUE LAY IT OUT ON THE FLOOR
Dat one dislike was WILL SCHUESTER!
The other one was Rachel
Manye years later, Sue was right almost every single time
"Will you are really crossing a lot of lines with these underaged students of yours, it's quite concerning"
"Why are you so mean and grumpy to me :("
If the Glee rebooy truly ends up being a thing, they NEED to bring Jane Lynch back. No one else can play her.
Meanwhile, bring Ben Platt in for Will - I need to see Lynch rip into him every week.
Sure, she was brash, but considering the rest of the adult characters, she was honestly the most responsible and admirable. Especially when you find out about her disabled sister, and how much she loves her. She's not a monster. She's just afraid of being vulnerable.
she spends more time correcting other people then actually living her own life.
Heck, when she became principal and Kurt was being threatened, she was the only adult in the history of that show to actually respond in the correct manner and do something about it.
True maturity is realizing Sue was right most of the time
"your charms wore off a long time ago, William. Sometime around Bieber Week." Truth.
I never realized how weird it was to sit on a random man’s lap every year
Will smug face and him being proud of everything he did to/with his students, makes Sue’s monologues so much funnier.
I'm so here for Sue trash talking Schue.
I loved Sue since episode 01. I watched Glee for her.
cant believe they wanted us to think she was the villain 😭. shes right in most situations and speaks her point eloquently, although insultingly. the only thing she lacks is tactfulness, she doesnt word things to protect others feelings. some people find that bitchy, some people are able to get past the shock and/or hurt and/or anger and dissect the meaning of what she said. she speaks pointedly and i can respect that
I agree with her on that it is very weird that parents make there children sit on a man’s lap
there will be no other character with the same kind of eloquence as Sue Sylvester
I never seen her as a villain when I watched this, she's practically the best and the most morally correct out of all the adults
She Had Common Sense Most Of The Time!
the sandusky comment was wild LMFAOOOO
Growing up is realizing Sue is the most sane one
I want to see an insult-off death-match between Sue Sylvester and Dr. Cox from Scrubs. I don't even know who I would bet on in that.
Sue's obsession with klaine will forever be one of the best storylines of this damn show
Sue really said what all the fans were thinking
I love how she was basically the audience’s POV lmao
WHY NO ONE LISTENED TO SUE SHE WAS RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING-
Because her delivery was trash. If doesn't matter how right you, no one wants to and will inevitably refuse to listen to you if you act like an asshole.
The fact is that Sue doesn't go on some big emotional arc but the audience go from hating her in the first episode to her secretly being everyones favourite byyyyyy..... episode 5?
The worst two moments of Mr Schue's was when he said no to Sue's offer for the extra bathroom key, and when he suspended Marley because she wore a different outfit for the performance. This was because she felt uncomfortable in her Gaga outfit. I could write a whole essay about Mr Schue being toxic and the worst teacher
jane lynch went in there & said “i’m gonna make history.” & that’s exactly what she did
I haven’t laughed this much in months. I love you again😂❤️
I remember when I didn’t like sue. I was a literal child. Now rewatching as I enter adulthood she’s one of the only characters who I agree with 90% of the time
Vanquished the tone deaf pansexual Leviathan that is the McKinley High glee club😭😂😭😂
Alternative title: My Mom Spitting Facts for 5 straight minutes
If I base the show entirely on these accussations alone, that glee club teacher needs a prison vacation asap
Exactly I Watched the show when I was 14 and now I 20. I see the difference, and how others characters didn’t grow up!
God she’s so correct
That Becky zoom out tho. HAAAALP
