For now, yes; however, as you probably know by now, "SVU" has been less than a ratings darling since the show's inception in 1998, especially since the departure of long-serving original cast members Christopher Meloni, who exited after the end of the 2010-2011 season, as well as the departures of Richard Belzer and Dann Florek, the latter two of whom departed at separate points during the 2014-2015 season. That pretty much left Mariska Hargitay as the carrying force of the show, as well as de-facto original cast member Ice-T, who joined the cast as a regular player in 2000. I should also point out that the franchise really took a major league nosedive beginning in May of 2010 when NBC cancelled the flagship drama after 20 years, then less than a year later, another big hit came when USA decided to end the second spinoff series "Criminal Intent" in May of 2011 after 11 seasons on the air (USA picked up "Criminal Intent" after NBC canned the series in the spring of 2009, BTW). It didn't help matters that, since "SVU" and "Criminal Intent" premiered, there have been five other series that have been added to the franchise, all of which sucked donkey nuts: a syndicated series called "Arrest and Trial", hosted by Brian Dennehy from 2000 until 2002, followed later that fall by "Crime and Punishment", another so-called "real life" "Law & Order", which aired from 2000 until 2004 on NBC. Next, in December of 2004, came "Law & Order: Trial By Jury", which was axed in July of 2005 after only seven months on the air, though the actual series finale didn't air until August of that year on what was then called CourtTV (now known as TruTV). Then in the fall of 2005 came "Conviction", a spinoff of "Law & Order: Special Victims' Unit", which saw the return of Stephanie March reprising her role as Alexandra Cabot, with Cabot having been promoted to Bureau Chief in the Manhattan D.A.'s office; that show only lasted one season. Then, most recently, in the fall of 2010, "Law & Order: Los Angeles" premiered, but went into hiatus in December of 2010, then returned in March of 2011 with Alana De La Garza reprising her role as Assistant D.A. Constance "Connie" Rubirosa, among other changes; it didn't help matters, and as was the case with "Trial By Jury" and "Conviction", "Law & Order: Los Angeles" was cancelled after only one season. On top of everything else, all roads lead to this current season (2016-2017) likely being the last for "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit".
