And we're back baby! 🤠🧡 In today's video, we're FINALLY got another sewing video, the next episode of Sew Let's Get Crafty ✨ Today I'm sewing a few pieces to take with me on my summer trip to the Philippines!! We're making a gorgeous tiered maxi skirt using an old bed sheet, a Good Squish inspired oversized scrunchie, and a pair of cutie cropped gingham pants. I'm so so happy with how everything turned out and I seriously learned SO MUCH throughout. I hope you enjoy + I'll see you very soon with a VLOG 🥰 (I have so many fun travel vlogs mixed in with regular content coming soon, eep!)
The Bold Type is such a great show. Its about three bffs that work for a magazine. You them navigate career, friendships, and romantic relationships. Their highs and lows in all areas of life.
Hi Jess,so sorry to hear about your bike accident. Hope you recover soon, bless your husband for rushing over to help you. Love seeing you do the DIYs,you have the patience and love for it. Thank you for sharing. Wishing you a blessed week ❤.
This was such a lovely video!! I recently got into sewing too and I also want to make that skirt! I also thought making it from sheets. What I'm thinking is to go to a fleamarket and buy a sheet (they can be really cheap in here (Spain), like 1€) and for now that's the fabric I will be buying. The final result of your pieces are GORGEOUS, good job!!
Ahh thank you so much! 🧡 That sounds like such a great idea, especially with the fact that you can source a sheet for such a bargain price! You totally should make it - I really love mine 🥰 Happy sewing!!
I love Bold Type! Another one that I felt was underrated (and therefore cancelled) is Shadow & Bone. So, I didn't like the books that much, but the show surprised me.
Goodness. Tell me about it. I fell off rollerblading, about a month ago now. My knee has heeled but my tailbone has not. It hurts to sit down, how I sit down and to stand back up from sitting. 😢 Hope yours is not as bad as mine. Glad you are okay.
It's an amazing machine - I really love it! But I do think it's a bit overkill for beginners. Up until recently I was using a Singer Heavy Duty and I thought that was a great for beginners machine that you can also grow with. It's also significantly more affordable :)

I’ve been watching bob ross lately. Surprisingly not boring lol. Engaging and relaxing at the same time, and it really makes me want to paint!
Ooh that sounds so lovely! 🥰
💌 Question of the day: What is your favorite piece I made OR what is your current sewing/crafting work in progress?
I love watching you have so much fun with sewing! Also clamping the fabric to the table is such a top tier hack omg
Thank you 🥲 and right?! It was SO handy!! I have the clamps for filming equipment and recently I thought - wait what if I use them for sewing??

Is that a good machine for beginners?
