Went to ortho surgeons office a year ago in need of hip replacement. Weighed 380+, BMI about 57. Physicians Assistant recommended that I read about intermittent fasting. Started watching Dr. Berry. I've done little exercise and a lot of cheating. Results: loss of 70+ pounds, BMI under 50, A1C from 6.3 to 5.8 and BP meds cut. Thanks Dr. Berry.

You may call beef butter bacon and eggs a placibo. If you do, my placibo of bbbe has found me, after about a year of it, 48 pounds lighter, no more blood pressure meds, no more eczema, minimal to no allergic symptoms, none or very little rheumatism and much more energy. I go hours without eating and still feeling satiated. I am 65 years old. Yesterday I carted 5 full wheel barrels of sand from my back yard, to the desert, 1/4 of a mile up hill. I was tired when done but not exhausted. I love my bbbe placibo. And yes My gums stopped bleeding. My dentist hates me.

My fasting glu'ose was 103 and 104 on two separate Dr. Visits. Got a call from my doctors office advising me to start taking Metformin. I refused explaining that I had been checking my own fasting glucose EVERY morning for 5 or more years and readings were consistently in the 80s and low 90s. They justified the Metformin because 2 readings of just over 100 represented to them that my glucose levels were "creeping up"and would continue to do so. I refused the Metformin. I'm sure they were shocked I dared to disagree. Have had 2 blood work panels in past 6 months. A1C was 5.3 each time and I had lost 25 lbs.and told them I felt great. Dud they congratulate me. Heck no - just started in on my slightly high cholestrol and want me to come in and meet with them in sure to discuss stations which I will also refuse. LDL was just a little high
Hdl was high anf Triglycerides were well within normal range. Doctors are practicing sick care. NOT healthcare. Just pushing those pills out more and more. Sorry. They have lost a lot of credibility with me.

I became diabetic because of a high triglyceride disorder poisoning my pancreas. I ended up in the ICU with 2000 tris, 12 1AC, diabetic ketoacidosis, and obviously morbidly obese. I was a bodybuilder in the previous 30 years, knew how to eat, and kept a ripped 30 inch waist going until this issue. Went from 197 pounds to 269 in a few years, despite my healthy eating, and my daily exercise. I am now down to 210. Tris at 190. 1AC 5.4. BMI down from 40 to 31. Only needed insulin for about a year, then was able to get off it. Then I no longer needed Metformin either. I eat less than 20 grams of carbs a day, usually cauliflower or asparagus. I was told my pancreas might heal, and I might only be diabetic as a temporary condition. Not the case. I have done random tests going off my diet for a day every 6 months or so. My blood sugar still spikes too high. I maintain my hardcore keto diet (with carnivore days interspersed). My docs are amazed at my numbers. Keto works! Hardcore keto even better. I have 20 more pounds to shed, but I will get there.

Thanks to this valuable information I flipped my cats obesity on its head . Almost 4 long years working with my rescue cat who was already very obese , 24 lbs .
We did everything the vets said to . They didn’t believe us when we told them we were not over feeding him .
If anything he wasn’t getting nearly enough . They said to feed him chicken & rice , high carb low fat , vegan , just canned or just kibble , they had him down to half a cup of kibble a day at one point .
Now that I’ve been learning from Dr Berry & many others in the carnivore community, my cat , in just nine weeks is thriving again & off the brink of certain death .
I brought in eggs , beef fat trimmings , ground beef , steak & switched him to high quality wet meat .
We’re working with him to retrain his taste buds and we are reverse dieting , feeding him on demand .
He’s an entire new cat . The transition was very difficult but the worst is over . 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Everyone was shocked and many of us started researching low carb and eventually anyone that stuck with it lost weight and got healthier. Here’s the problem with employers implementing dietary and other health policies. Regardless IF it’s good guidance, it’s an over reach. Your employer has a right to decide what tasks you must be able to do without accommodations for each of their roles, how you get their is out of their authority. Fat guys who can meet all physical demands may not be disqualified for being fat. To my knowledge only the US Armed Forces (Army and the rest) has the right to mandate weight, BMI, and fitness standards as a requirement to continue employment and it’s because of the type of contract you are under, basically Indentured Servitude means your flesh is owned by them until your contract expires. Fancy way of saying you are a volunteer slave. Outside of granting ownership of your body to your employer your employer may only make suggestions and implement incentives to encourage behaviors they want from you. Some provide workout time during your shift thereby reducing your work day to encourage fitness, some offer a bonus for meeting certain fitness goals or for achieving perfect attendance at the company gym.

Started Keto in 2017 and it has helped me 100% …I have a waistline now, lowered my blood sugar from 6.4 to 5.1, lost 34 pounds, No more bleeding cracked heels, haven’t had the flu or even a cold since I started, and did it all in 4 months.., I’m now 74, and feel great.
Gained a few pounds back cause I suffered from Diverticulitis and IBS, but I’m back on keto since I added magnesium citrate at night, that has ended that problem. I was told by my primary to have mashed potatoes and bread,, which killed the ketosis. But now I’m starting to lose again, because of the tip dr. Berry gave about magnesium citrate. I Thank God for you guys for promoting this knowledge …with Keto I’m never hungry!!

My keto story is that I am down 95 lbs and my A1C went from 9.7 to 5.2. I began during COVID mainly because my husband has had diabetes for 10 years and has high A1C and has moved from a metformin tablet to 2, to injecting insulin. I banned bread, rice, pasta etc all carbs from the house (since our children are adults they can order in if they want) and I tried to bring him along but he was resistant. So I did keto alone (and my children all know.what carb wise what is allowed or not) without medication for my first A1C reading. I am reaping the benefits. I have taken up weightlifting, some cardio and count steps everyday. Once I get to a healthier stage, I will introduce healthy carbs in healthy amounts again.

I’ve perplexed all of my doctors and had one ask me for advice on how to join me. I have been on many diets and none were sustainable because the cravings never went away. Now, I scratch my head and wonder where they have gone. When you attain metabolic flexibility, cravings just turn into old memories. When I attain my weight goal, I will probably switch to a 2MAD, but only because my wife hates when I sit and watch her eat her 3 meals a day. 😄😄😄

I've only been doing carnivore for 7 days but I've lost 8lbs and my BP went from 150/105 average to 121/82 today at the dentist. I completely related to you saying that you have no support! The truth is that everyone wants everyone else to stay at their level of misery. The minute anyone tries to climb out of the pit of misery and better their lives, they must be stopped. By you changing your life for the better and defying conventional medical advice, you're showing people how miserable they are and how everything they thought they knew and everyone they thought they could trust with their health is wrong. 95%+ of people cannot do an ounce of introspection and accept that they were wrong, misled, or lied to. They'd rather die young from being fat and diabetic but be "right" in their own mind than to admit what you're doing works and that their own world view was wrong.

There is no way I want to go back to feeling that bad when I know how good I feel now. Only thing Iʻm working on now is getting rid of that last stubborn menopausal belly fat. Would love to hear Dr. Berry discuss Ozempic. I was 66 years old with a BMI of 46.5 and badly in need of knee replacement surgery. In March I was diagnosed type 2 diabetic with an A1C of 7.2. I was prescribed Ozempic but also got serious about eating better to lose weight so the insurance company would approve my knee replacement surgery. It was then I discovered Dr. Berry. I took the general vague meal guidelines given to me by the diabetic nutritionist and saw they were scratching the surface of a keto diet. At that point I committed to following Dr. Berry’s research supported advice and was amazed at the results. As I am writing this I am recovering from my knee replacement surgery, my A1C was 6.0 as of August 8, and I have lost 55 lbs and feel the best I have since my 20’s. While I still am on blood pressure medications, I’ve eliminated one and have to monitor my BP to be sure it’s not too low. When I have my annual check up I expect to eliminate more BP medications. Thank you Dr. Berry!

If a corporation smells a chance at saving money, odds are it’ll be company policy to have everyone in the company take a class on the subject and there certainly won’t be anymore donuts in the break room.
