Fair distribution of betting money would also contribute to the integrity of the sport. It would mean lower ranked players would have less reason to match/spot fix
I hope they also figure out some solution to mitigate the awful, vitriolic abuse players get from bettors when they lose. Especially since these tournaments are partially responsible for the abuse the players get since they're advertising these betting companies.

A player from a second football Germany/england or any other Europe League is not among the top 1000 football players, but yet he earns more than a tennis player who is ranked among the best 100 in the world. On the other hand, like it's stated in this video, any tennis player that appears on tournaments generate way more money to the betting companies, then some 2nd league football or basketball match, because matches are played on daily basis, and there is even more live betting going on, because you can literally put money on every point or game played, and there is a lot of people that do so. And they don't receive any money from it. And you know who does? ATP, ITF and WTA are selling data from those matches to betting companies, tournaments are getting sponsored by them, and the only ones that receive nothing in this chain are tennis players. And without them nobody else would be able to profit from tennis. So it's not fair they don't receive any share in this process , isn't it?

Never ever should a player/event be associated with a betting company as a sponsor. Most unprofitable bets for betting companies are when favorites win so there would 100% be some conflict of interest there. Novak doesn't support sports betting so to say that 95% of other players should have it is not genuine (he doesn't support it for himself but for all others he does?!). I agree that it’s a bad thing, but making it worse is that it only benefits the betting company and tournament corporation. It’s a fact that most pension and retirement funds have guns, gambling, tobacco money in them. This is a separate issue from whether these athletes who only earn for 10-15 years (if they’re lucky) stand to benefit. They’re the ones with the essential but limited resource- their talent and youth.
Removing betting from sports is a separate issue. I think Novak is simply saying if betting is going to be allowed by the powers that be, then let the players revenue share as the labor force for the corporations.

2 issues here. 1. Ur comparison doesnt make sense. An apple to orange comparison aint correct. Compare similar global sports with similar viewership and study their finances and the % of the total share players receive. 2. In other team sports, all the expenses are borne by the team and there is a guaranteed prize money irrespective of the result but tennis is result oriented and lower ranked players CANT make a living which collapses the sports altogether. Yes they are generating tons of data on players using models to set the odds, but players cannot access this, nor do they get anything from it.
