Thank you so much Professor for this "SHORT" video guide, i really only needed to know how to place a picture into a shape on publisher. thanks to you and this video my ape brain has now transcended to a master-MEGA MIND, this video has gave me 999,999,999,999.99% IQ BOOST and i am greatful and name the third child after you. . . . . . . . Thank you have a good day :)
Hi Professor, I'm looking for a way to crop a picture in any way I want. Basically I want to cut out the interesting part of picture, which can have any shape, and make all the non-interesting parts transparant. Just like you would do with a paper picture and a scissor. it seems there was a way to do that in older versions of Publisher, but I cannot find this in the version I have (Office 365?) Do you have any tips?
Hi Aaron, Great, I'm glad this helps. By the way, the process shown here is basically the same throughout the MS Office suite, so you'll know no matter what program you're in.
Is there a way i can move my picture around within a shape. For example i am inserting a picture into a disc shape for a CD, but parts are getting cut off due to the shape. I want to move the picture around so things are not getting cut off. Thanks. Great tutorial!
Hi FuzzMonkeh, I made a video on grouping multiple pictures together, and cropping out portions of pictures. Please have a look at the video below and let me know if it solves your problem. Thanks for watching my video, I appreciate it. ua-cam.com/video/PXQMnORLRQU/v-deo.html
Hi Jennifer, It depends on what you're creating it for. I recommend using the built-in Flyer options and selecting a color and font scheme that work best for you. Here is a video explaining some options: ua-cam.com/video/LFoX905VINI/v-deo.html
Hi Debora, I made this video in Word, but the concepts are the same as in Publisher. Perhaps the aspect ratio is not set on your picture. This video should help clear it up for you. Thanks for watching! ua-cam.com/video/XifR8ZBgqWA/v-deo.html
Hi Kuruvilla, Not sure on this one. I don't know how to help without seeing your computer. If you solve it, let me know how so I can direct others. Thank you for watching!
Hi Zain, It should be a little yellow diamond around the border of the shape. Make sure you're selecting a shape that can be edited, as some can not. I hope this helps.
I have found the answer !! I knew it all along really... I just couldn't remember! Highlight the image or group, right mouse click and select 'Save as picture' !! TWO hours I've been searching the net !!!! I'm ok now though :-)
Why was the file photo cropped and put to the side and then you went back to the original photo instead of putting the cropped photo into the shape. This is confusing and doesn't take into consideration that when you right-click a photo and then click on the "crop" icon -- it won't crop. Two weeks ago I could easily crop in this manner -- now I can't and I'm not able to talk to a human to get clarification. I'm seriously upset with Publisher and Microsoft right now.

After you created your oval and inserted your picture (into the oval), how would you CENTER the inserted photo with the three people?
need to crop the image first, save it as a picture, and use your cropped image [centred, set up as you like it] in the shape
Creating a flyer for the first time to include multiple people. What flyer choice is best. I

How would you remove (crop) out just the girl on the left and keeping everything else intact in that picture?
How to enable shapes edit points. It's not working in publisher only

.... but how do you SAVE the circular picture as 'a picture' for later use?

Hi Damjan,
I'm not exactly sure what you're asking for here. Can you provide additional details.

:) Publisher is no laughing matter.
you need to walk us through cropping the image FIRST before then placing it into a shape... crucial step skipped
