I love how your dad actually notices the small details in music that the artists put in their songs. I dont really know much about him, but he’s definitely good at whatever instrument he plays
your dad’s reaction is EXACTLY how i feel when i listen to Igor’s Theme. the push pull feeling of the drum break, the monstrous Saw wave that is present throughout, the piano break in the middle (sounds a lot like virtual insanity!), the solo at the end - it is my favourite song of all time, if you can show him the slowed version on YT (not the slow reverbed one) the actual song is pitched up a decent amount (about 11%). incredible song, and incredible album. my favourite of all time.
In the Igor music vid the vid starts with Tyler standing in a forest and behind him is a man falling dfrom the sky. The vid ends with Tyler from the sky. The person falling behind Tyler, was Tyler, hence it's a loop.
This is one of my favorite reactions that you two have done, probably next to Currents and the Silk Sonic album. Your guys’ bond, personalities, and humor are absolutely infectious, and seeing how much you both appreciate all the elements of the music you listen to, big and small, is something that just puts a smile on my face (especially being a musician myself, seeing Connor’s dad point out and absolutely GEEK over the production and arrangement of the songs is so gratifying to watch). Easily my favorite reaction channel, you guys rock
I mean this in the least weirdest way, I live vicariously through you guys because this is the father son relationship I wish I had please never stop making these videos! love em!

Exactly how i feel. I don’t want to be seen as weak by my father and i just want him to respect me so i can’t really talk or do much with my passions or hobbies. I wish i had this father son duo. It’s mainly a self conscious thing.
One of the great things about this album is that parts of Igor's Theme is used throughout the album. A solid headphone or stereo lets you pick up on the bits that are worked in.

This album came out when I was ironically going through heartbreak and the story from IGOR was SO similar, almost the exact same story I was experiencing. It was a gift to have this album through that time, cause I felt validated and in some way like this album talked for me. My favorite album ever. Tyler really is a genius.
This album got me through a seriously hard break up two years ago so seeing you guys react to it and love it so much crystallised how amazing it really is for me.
After listening and studying this album countless times, Kevin has opened my eyes to the underlying beauty of these songs with his overwhelming optimism and attitude towards music as a whole. Thank you.
Bound 2 and a boy is a gun were sampled from the same song. Kanye and Tyler were in the studio together and made the beats the same day. Tyler saved the beat for years waiting for the right time to use it.
That second half of that isn’t true I’m pretty sure unless you got a source. Tyler helped produce Bound 1 with Kanye, which Kanye evolved into Bound 2 with the Ponderosa Twins sample, which Tyler ended up using for a boy is a gun*.
Don’t worry about the “oldhead” or any other criticizing comments. Mean comments stick with you the most because you never expect someone to go out of their way to write something like that. I love what you guys are doing and I hope you keep doing it! ❤️
I remember the first time i heard iGOR. I was really depressed and very lonely in a big city where nobody knew me. That day was the day of the release of IGOR and all over social media said that this album was amazing, but i´ve never listened tyler before, so i decided to smoke some weed and give it a try. I remember when the synth from igor´s theme started to kick in i instantly smiled and felt relief of all that pain that was drowning me. I heard this album non stop for a whole month and helped me throught out the hardest time of my life. I just wanna thanks Tyler for being one of the people that saved me.
this tour and album live was absolutely something else. the sound he achieved thru loud speakers was a different experience. hope some of yall got to experience that
I did in Vancouver, honestly one of the best days of my life. Not only was the show great, when we were riding the bus back to the hotel a couple of the kids from the show started singing Earfquake and the entire bus joined in and we all sang the entire song. It was pretty surreal lol his fanbase is pretty cool
ive seen tyler live 3 times already (cherry bomb, flower boy, igor) and im going to see him in ferbruary for cmiygl, one of the greatest performers to ever live his shows aren’t just “shows” they are literal experiences i hope you guys go to his next one you don’t want to miss out
My first time ever hearing a Tyler album was Igor, and it was just as I was peaking in my first psychedelic experience. Immediately I knew I was a Tyler fan, just like Kevin’s face indicated
Lol can’t wait for the Whole Lotta Red reaction. Definitely a change of pace and I feel like it has the highest chance to be disappointing for Kevin, but could also be super exciting
If Tyler were to see your videos reacting to his albums i think he would fall in love with Kevin. Kevin is actively listening, critiquing, and appreciating his art. Not only that but Kevin said he genuinely loves Tyler’s natural deep voice; something tyler himself doesn’t like all that much. I really like Kevin and his understanding and open mindset when it comes to music. And yes, he is far from an old head.
I like how he picked up on "A BOY IS A GUN*" sounding like a Kanye song without knowing that Kanye samples the same song on Yeezus and that Tyler is doing his own version of a Kanye song thematically tying his album to the aforementioned Kanye song.
kevin makes me sometimes hear and feel things on records i didnt hear before and thats really my favorite thing about this. Like I never really found into Tyler's work cause its just so complex and vivid, and it always was sorta too much for me, but Kevin lets me see the simple beauty in this. love it.
I love the genuine aspect of him being so in depth with the music and picking them all apart to grasp more of a genuine feel from them. Such as running out of time, him possibly grasping the feeling of this love Tyler has with this mysterious person seems to be running out of time, and then making the song have so much more power behind it.
The way your dad reacted to the first track was exactly how my brother reacted when I made him listen. It was his first time listening to Tyler and now we’re going to CMIYGL together in March. I love how music can bring people together and it can make that bond with family even stronger. You guys are amazing. I am definitely joining the Patreon now.
"WHAT'S GOOD" was my top song this year and I had zero clue that the second half chorus that goes, "I see the light" was slowthai. Thank you for including the features, I don't think I ever would've ever noticed it.
22:09 that's funny because the sample on A BOY IS A GUN, is the same one Kanye uses on Yeezus ending track Bound 2. What's even more crazy is Tyler helped on the original Bound 1 with that sample, and your dad picked it up 🐐
I also wanted to add since I’m just getting to this part in the video- New Magic Wand is my favorite song off of this album. Very personal to me! I like when you said the song felt as if though it was begging in the same way the lyrics and emotion do. The whole song has a very heavy, almost tense feeling. I notice it when I listen to it every time, the sound of it almost feeling the same way anxiety or stress does. This album is incredible in that it really can make you feel a physical connection to it, as well as the emotional connection.
i’ve heard this album multiple times before, but listening to it with you guys feels like i’m listening to it for the first time and i get so excited…. I LOVE IT!!
I wish I had the opportunity to listen to this album from Tyler for the first time, I feel insanely happy and comfortable watching your dad reacting and feeling every single beat of each song, priceless to see man.
yeah same, and then i followed it by diving into flower boy and ever since hes been number 1 the last two years on my spotify top yearly songs. the stranger part was the fact that tool and pink floyd traded my number 1 artist all the way back to 2016.

his excitement for igor's theme is so great, totally underrated song
I love how your dad actually notices the small details in music that the artists put in their songs. I dont really know much about him, but he’s definitely good at whatever instrument he plays
He said he has a background in producing I think. Not sure what instrument he plays though

your dad’s reaction is EXACTLY how i feel when i listen to Igor’s Theme. the push pull feeling of the drum break, the monstrous Saw wave that is present throughout, the piano break in the middle (sounds a lot like virtual insanity!), the solo at the end - it is my favourite song of all time, if you can show him the slowed version on YT (not the slow reverbed one) the actual song is pitched up a decent amount (about 11%). incredible song, and incredible album. my favourite of all time.
It’s always nice to see other people appreciate music like me 🔥🔥
I mean this in the least weirdest way, I live vicariously through you guys because this is the father son relationship I wish I had please never stop making these videos! love em!
I totally understand. My Dad is so afraid of anything new or different we could never have these kinds of interactions.
One day, if you want to, you can be that great father for a child.
Exactly how i feel. I don’t want to be seen as weak by my father and i just want him to respect me so i can’t really talk or do much with my passions or hobbies. I wish i had this father son duo. It’s mainly a self conscious thing.
I'm Nigerian but you and your dad changed my music taste entirely. Thanks

The blonde reaction though
One of the great things about this album is that parts of Igor's Theme is used throughout the album. A solid headphone or stereo lets you pick up on the bits that are worked in.
I hate that they made you so sad man, you only deserve love for these raw feelings you put in front of everyone. Thank you for being someone I can enjoy these songs with. Screw those guys, keep it up i love your guy’s content

Tyler said in an interview that Igor was flower boy part 2. He said not many people notice that he used the same strategies on Igor that were used on flower boy. Props to your dad for noticing it.
Just discovered you guys, never thought I'd be watching a 40 min UA-cam video, love these, feels like I'm listening to the albums for the first time again. I'm currently isolating with covid and have to work from home, these vids are getting me through, can't wait for some Mac Miller and maybe more frank :)
Thanks Fatima! Wishing you a speedy recovery ❤
Same here
A Mac album would be amazing Fatima G :')
I’m doing the same!! I feel the exact same way too :)
Just did some mac Miller!
This album came out when I was ironically going through heartbreak and the story from IGOR was SO similar, almost the exact same story I was experiencing. It was a gift to have this album through that time, cause I felt validated and in some way like this album talked for me. My favorite album ever. Tyler really is a genius.
Igor and Blonde both my top 2 albums out there in regards to heartbreak and the difficulty of moving on. Absolute masterpieces
This album is both story-wise and musically a loop, the last chord in ARE WE STILL FRIENDS? resolves with the first chord in IGOR'S THEME
This
This album got me through a seriously hard break up two years ago so seeing you guys react to it and love it so much crystallised how amazing it really is for me.

After listening and studying this album countless times, Kevin has opened my eyes to the underlying beauty of these songs with his overwhelming optimism and attitude towards music as a whole. Thank you.
his reaction to IGORS THEME was LITERALLY my reaction. I so vividly remember listening to this for the first time. fuck this is a treat
Bound 2 and a boy is a gun were sampled from the same song. Kanye and Tyler were in the studio together and made the beats the same day. Tyler saved the beat for years waiting for the right time to use it.
Wow
Wow
Wow
wow
That second half of that isn’t true I’m pretty sure unless you got a source. Tyler helped produce Bound 1 with Kanye, which Kanye evolved into Bound 2 with the Ponderosa Twins sample, which Tyler ended up using for a boy is a gun*.
Don’t worry about the “oldhead” or any other criticizing comments. Mean comments stick with you the most because you never expect someone to go out of their way to write something like that. I love what you guys are doing and I hope you keep doing it! ❤️

the best feeling is listening to igor with someone else is just hearing the beginning synth and waiting for the drums
haha yes. I played igors theme to my brother and he was like what is that and then....
It was pretty surreal lol his fanbase is pretty cool
ive seen tyler live 3 times already (cherry bomb, flower boy, igor) and im going to see him in ferbruary for cmiygl, one of the greatest performers to ever live his shows aren’t just “shows” they are literal experiences i hope you guys go to his next one you don’t want to miss out
I saw this tour in Phoenix. Incredible
i went to his miami show for the igor tour and he is as good of a performer as he is a artist
I was basically reborn listening to new magic wand live. Probably my favorite moment of all time
My first time ever hearing a Tyler album was Igor, and it was just as I was peaking in my first psychedelic experience. Immediately I knew I was a Tyler fan, just like Kevin’s face indicated
Lol can’t wait for the Whole Lotta Red reaction. Definitely a change of pace and I feel like it has the highest chance to be disappointing for Kevin, but could also be super exciting
After 2 years I think we can agree Kevin was baked during this video
That's what listening to Kanye does to you
Which song off Yeezus is it?
@@j.l.hegeman300 pretty sure it’s Bound 2, they sound fairly similar in some aspects sonically

kevin makes me sometimes hear and feel things on records i didnt hear before and thats really my favorite thing about this.
I’m going too, what date?
I’m going as well
"WHAT'S GOOD" was my top song this year and I had zero clue that the second half chorus that goes, "I see the light" was slowthai. Thank you for including the features, I don't think I ever would've ever noticed it.
Its funny kevin mentions how the “boy is a gun” sample is kanye style, when the same sample was also used by kanye for bound 2. Great insight
That reaction to Igor’s Theme really makes me wish I could go back and listen to that song for the first time myself
22:09 that's funny because the sample on A BOY IS A GUN, is the same one Kanye uses on Yeezus ending track Bound 2.
What's even more crazy is Tyler helped on the original Bound 1 with that sample, and your dad picked it up 🐐
Crazy haha
Can I just say, I LOVE seeing your dad fall in love with truly one of if not my top favorite artists
I LOVE IT!!

This is so true!
finally igor's theme getting the love it deserves!!! top tier song on the album + tyler's discography in general
I fuckin loved Kevin’s reaction to Igor’s Theme, was so wholesome seeing him get so excited at the start of the album
I love what you guys are doing. It's great to see a parent and child vibe together like this.
I wish I had the opportunity to listen to this album from Tyler for the first time, I feel insanely happy and comfortable watching your dad reacting and feeling every single beat of each song, priceless to see man.
You need to let him react to Tyler performing IGOR live. With the suit and everything. He would love it
“Vocally schizophrenic” is the best description of Tyler’s vocals I’ve ever heard
I didn't prolificly listen to Tyler before he released Igor, but after hearing this project he instantly became one of my favorite artist.

yeah same, and then i followed it by diving into flower boy and ever since hes been number 1 the last two years on my spotify top yearly songs. the stranger part was the fact that tool and pink floyd traded my number 1 artist all the way back to 2016.
