  • In response to popular demand, Alan filled a spare afternoon by talking about his cars.
After whetting your automotive appetites by chatting about the Yaris trio filling up his drive, we move to the main feature and a walkaround of his 1992 Mercedes-Benz 230E.

Greetings from Portugal. I have a 200d in the exact same colour and the sunroof also works in the same manner, when it's hot it works well, when it's cold it's a little slow moving aha

Great video! Love the 230E, such a cool car. Surprisingly good condition too for the age.

Thanks! The Pollitt is responsible for a lot of the current condition. 👍

I went to see one of these yesterday £2400. It drove really well but overheated and coolant spewed out of the expansion tank hose drain off. I think the engine fan is meant to cut in around 90-95 degrees but it didn't. Is it possible to get a decent one of these for £3k?

“I sound like MajorGav, I'm so sorry.”
I've been apologising for sounding like MajorGav for years.
Great video. More of the same, please.

Hah! I’m sorry about that. I just suddenly realised that it sounded like I was trying to sound like you. I’m glad you enjoyed it 👍

@@Motoringpodcast If I had any advice for fellow UA-camrs, it would be to avoid sounding like MajorGav.

My old car. Had her for about 3 years and she was perfect. We nicknamed her Bonnie.

Love the 'not my Auris' comment.

I have to acknowledge the UA-camrs I watch and enjoy. If a silly aside like that made one person smile then that makes me happy. 🙂
