I love that they didn’t reduce the weight much, I wanted my zowie mouse the same weight just wireless. I couldn’t be happier. Will buy when available for sure.

I totally agree that weight is not that big of a factor, especially on faster pads. You can get used to the 47g of the Ninjutso Sora or to the 77g of the Zowie EC-2-CW. It doen't matter as much as people claim it does, at least for me.
for me it does mater a lot. i play with the tenz mini and when i pick up my old viper ultimate it feels like a brick.
Stoping a movement is way faster on a lightweight mouse as well.
Of course i can play great on my viper ultimate or even my g302 which weight an absurd 150g but flicks and reaction shots are absolutely way better on light weight. does a 1ms difference on average mater?
Thats up to anyone else to decide.
For me performance goes over everything. So if i perform better with an uncompftable mouse i take it.
But yeah for general pleasure 70+ grams dont matter. you can get top knotch results with a 150g mouse.
Just for me i perform a little better with light weight (have a stable of 12 mices that i played with).
Im not sure will the range from 40 to 70 matter that much but I jumped from the Viper Ult to the V2 Pro and it was night and day.
@@MaskedOG I was talking to D0cc one week ago and he was complaining about light weight mouses. He said that you have more control with a heavier mouse and you are bit more shaky with a light mouse. But of course it really depends what kind of style do you have, if you are a more stable/safe player like D0cc, a heavier mouse will be better. If you are a really fast player like M0nesy, most likely a lighter mouse will be better.
Yeah, seems like a good mouse. I just wouldn't say it's enticing to anyone who hasn't mained an EC or Skoll in the past. It's much more worth learning the DAV3 shape or one of the many ambi mice over this.
Except the DA v3 Pro QC is really really trash and dealing with Razer for replacements/fixes is some of the worst in the mice business.

I agree that people who are going to LANS are going to appreciate that receiver more than the at home gamer. This mouse definitely could've been marketed with the dongle only to appeal to more casual gamers who don't have a need for that reliability in tournament.
Shame the extra pricing for us EU folks! Nice review though. Think I’m leaning towards Vaxee at the moment

I am currently using the Xlite V3 Large and am Debating between the EC2-CW and the EC1-CW. Which would you recommend?

Angles too sharp to even compare to the ec2. Not to mention my DAV3 started separating at the bottom by the grips within a week. A problem that will never be addressed by the company. Razer returns are a headache. They aren't bad mice, but its apples and oranges really. Two completely different companies with different goals. I prefer good qc and customer service, so I'm fairly loyal to Zowie and Vaxee. Logitech has good customer service, but they just don't work with customers to improve qc.
The death adder v3 shape sucks
After this time we know the DAV3 has flexing and creaking issues. The Zowie doesn't.

TBH the Saturn Pro pad is on the very fast site of controlpads. For me it feel faster as some hybrid pads

how are the clicks compared to the steelseries prime wireless? which is more satisfying and more heavy?
The Deathadder is plagued with side flex and creaking after a few weeks, especially the black ones from what I’ve read on Reddit

finally some one stating the effects of mice weight on pads well done techne,
from my experience fast pads especially hard and cordura mice feel smooth and weight no much of a factor 70g+ mice
muddy heavy control pads those imho you need sub 70g mice
currently just got my Vaxee outset on cordura mpc450 and the 80g including the glass skates the mouse doesnt feel much to zip it around and to be honest i kinda like the feel of the heavier mouse coming from the mm711 60g the outset 80g weight kinda gives good feedback when aiming

Too expensive. Zowie not only uses 3370 but also they don t use NORDIC MCU which is the best on the market. If it was 100 to 120 ye i would buy it.
I have to say its not HEAVY，but it is Heavy for the price they charge. Just like the 3370 sensor, I dont mind it, it is as good as 3395 in 99% of scenarios. BUT FOR THE PRICE THEY CHARGE，it is heavy. I think if u r gonna be lazy and saving on RND and the sensor department, u better have a price that justifies it. The receiver shit is gimmicky, if the interference is a thing, the pros would have complained abt it on razer n logitech when they have like 10+ wireless devices in the same room. But they didnt, so unless u plan on turning microwave(tends to be the device that sends out the most interference) on 24/7 in the same game room i dont think there is an interference issue.
Why is nobody talking about the shape difference between the old and new ec2?
ZywOo and YEKINDAR are literally using this mouse. Lighter does not necessary mean better. You still have pro players using "heavier" mouses for a reason and it really depends on what you like. A heavier mouse will give you more stability and a lighter mouse can make you shakier. It also matter how strong you are because 70 grams does not feel the same for everyone. A 60 grams mouse can be too light .
Also wireless is not for everyone, there are still pro players using wired mouses.

so i have really big hands (21cm / 11.5cm) and i play mostly palm grip sometimes vary towards more of a claw grip. do i opt for the ec2 or ec1? (or even the dav3?!)

Every single time I wanted to upgrade my gears I go to this channel, my upgrade from the zowie ec2a to glorious model 0 wireless now might go back to zowie with this wireless. Worth it! Zowie mice are proven and tested by the pros. but kind of pricey specially here in the PH. 😅

I think there's a 15% chance that Techne switches from DAV3 to EC2-CW. Based on watching his past videos, I can only imagine him switching to a G703 Superlight or ZA12-CW at this point.

@@TheTechne I agree. Zowie did great shapes some day. But time is going on and now you have to deliver something new if you want to ask 200 euro price without any discounts in future. I can give credits but i can`t choose them because of credits only

weight under 70 is completely unecessary and actually harmful to my preformance. I love zowie. they been here for us WAYYYYYY before all these fad mice junk companies popped up. I love zowie

I feel like the insane prices nowadays are due to a few things. Firstly r&d, Razer is using new tech, zowie had to develop their wireless tech and they wanted it to be some of the best, and finalmouse wanted to use a new material. Next increased manufacturing costs which pretty much goes for everyone. Lastly they're businesses and have to pay for things like marketing, sponsorships, and their own bills.
Ain't no way. Zowie are one of the most lazy manufactures in the mouse game right now. It's such a shame they have the best shapes because they would be a laughing stock with the total lack of updates and complaints they've had continue over years. Wireless tech is a commodity now and you're paying top dollar for old tech and little to no R&D unlike razor or logi.
Dude, 77 grams is NOT HEAVY, if anybody says it's heavy they need to do some push ups. the only thing that's heavy is the price. And that Zowie mouse looks so gorgeous.

What ? A lot of pros still use the old zowie. I think a lot of pros will switch back shape is more important than weight. If 70 grams is heavy you need to hit the gym 😂 the G pro isn’t a great shape it’s just a safe shape.
@@bgb946 you can hit the gym how much you want but physics beat ur manly benchpress. lighter mouse means easier to control. just like 20kg is easier to control than 100kg on a bench press. sure, its more shaky if you dont practice it but you can stop mid rep easy, not like with the 100kg. just like mice with this little weight, if you use ftip grip you will notice every single gram, im telling you.
I think $150 is high if you plan on buying like 30 mice impulsively from watching UA-cam and reading r/Mousemarket. But, if you are the type of person who actually knows what they want, I think it is a fair price, considering the state of the global economy.
@@cipicm a good shape at 77 grams is easier to control than a bad shape at 65. Stop shopping for mice that you have no intention of using long term if the market is too expensive. You only need ONE mouse you idiots.

you keep mentioning in your review that is a familiar shape to all and you don't need to talk about the shape! But i have never used a zowie mouse before! I would love to see a comparison vs other ergo mice, talk about the feeling in different grips (palm,claw, fingertip), how YOU feel about the mouse! As a buyer my main concern is not only the tech specs, is how the mouse feels and if suits my specific grip.The coating and if it is slippery. Many reviewers skip those steps and they only concentrate in the sensor and the weight! Personally i can't test any mice before i purchase them, so i depend on the reviewer to make that purchase! And the feel of the mouse in my hand is the most important aspect of any purchase! Thank you.
