Triple Trains on the Platform in San Bernardino

- I had to run and catch the first fast-moving mixed manifest train at the end of the platform because this baby was coming in hot! Just as I placed my GoPro down and turned around it was right on top of me! I was lucky to get my other camera rolling as it blasted by. After the manifest sailed the rails though the yard, it revealed a colossal consist that snuck up from behind, catching me off guard as the manifest left the depot in the dust.
The Stacker was a Z train without the "Zoomies", it lumbered into the intermodal yard making is presence known with the five leading locomotives looking like royalty. Listen and look for the slack in the train as this beast slows to a creaking stop. As we waited for this one to untie, in came the Metro Link to punctually exchange people on the platform and head to Pasadena.
The Stack train never did untie... We left for burgers shortly after this.

First off, the train station architectures is beautiful.
Second, there must be zero security in the rail yards. Some of that art isn’t just a tagging, lots of time and effort goes into creating them.

@Fourwheeljive I have to agree with every bit of your comment brother. 🤣 I think it is rather beautiful building too. Next time I go I will get some footage of it. 👍 There is a cool museum inside too. There will be a lil fottage of that coming soon. As far as security and the 🎨 art... TOTALLY! Some of these have to take hours maybe days (?) to do. Me thinks you are starting to like the wonderful world of trains too? 🤔🤣🤣 this train was a great example for the argument that some of the work truly is art. That takes talent practice skill and techniques that not just anybody can do. Spray cans are a difficult medium to work with. I would say a good amount of it for sure is steaming 💩. But some is 🤩🤩 making the train a literal rolling art gallery. And finally... I will confirm it is a ton of fun, especially when you're this close! Thank you as always my good friend. At first, I thought you jumped off the end of the platform!! Great video, but that slowed down audio towards the end. 🤫 It really is fun to hang out there. Lots of action.

@SilenceSeven me either, at all. That's why I wanted to leave it in for a bit with the explanation of what it was. I found it interesting that when Sylvester the Cat and Bugs Bunny went by the sound changes and speeds up a bit for each one. 🎶🦻🤷♂️

@P30CH I remember a few runaways.... the one on the Paldale Cutoff in 89, SP train derailed into houses then the clean up crew hit the gas line and the neighborhood blew up! 😱 And the one in 96 at Walker I think. Terrible stuff. Were there more?

Oh yeah, I remember both. Was living in Fontana when both happened. Got to see the Walker derailment up close. I was on train 3, went right by the clean up... 🚂
@P30CH the houses that were destroyed in the San Bernardino Disaster were never rebuilt. Leaving a "scar" from the incident. There is a plaque in the location now. I remember how crazy that was.
Totally thought you ran off the platform as well!😂 Great hustle to get the shot too by the way! As well great work putting multiple angles together in 1 video that’s the time consuming part but it was well worth it man! The slowed down sound was a throw back to decades ago hanging in the arcades with 8 bit audio..😅
@STACKSY bro, what's funny is, I don't run LMAO. I have a bum leg that makes it difficult to do and silly AF to watch too. But this sucker was coming in hot so I mustered all of my ability and "ran" (LOL) to the end. As soon as I turned around I had about 3 seconds to open my phone and start filming. Just in the nic of time! 😎🍿 yes, the slowmo sound made me think of old video game action too!
