- Big fun benching the freight platform at the intermodal freight yard in San Bernardino CA, on a Saturday morning.
5 Trains total!
Train 1 - 3 loco power move!
Train 2 - EB Manifest train ties down on the platform on ML2
Train 3 - WB Stack train passes by on ML1
Train 4 - EB Metrolink arrives
Train 5 - EB Metrolink (number 2)
Train 2 - EB Manifest train on ML2 unties and leaves platform

One heck of a busy day at the platform today! Manifest trains intermodal trains passenger trains you seen lots great work! When they roll by slow and stop you can catch every single detail of the cars as well get the perfect shot of all the art.. Wonder what was stuffed in the shock of the locomotive there before checking the fuel gauge.. Guess having power at the spot to keep everything charged up means you can hang out a bit longer then usual! The announcements about the trains on what track it will be on is pretty cool as well
@STACKSY so much killer action here! So stoked my buddy S7 showed me this place. Having power makes it dangerously easy to stay too long. 🤣 I think it was a granola bar wrapper stuffed in there if I remember right. 🤔 I remember thinking that was strange to see. This spot is only about 20-25 minutes from Bedrock! 🤣👊🍻Thanks a million brother!

Thanks for the close up shots on the cars and the locos was it tempting to step up on those steps on the H2 ? You were so close hahahaha. It was running on 3/4 tank i know the feeling been hard to fill all the way up since gas went up last year .
@CalebA-sv2kw oh man it was so tempting! I also wanted to reach out and remove that wrapper and toss it in the trash but did not want to get in trouble. 🤣 Yeah, tell me about it, I think it's gonna get worse too. 🥺 ⛽️

How long can you stay at the platforms before security runs you out and wear can you park your vehicle safely while you’re out there? Sure looks like a good spot. I go to the Metrolink commerce platforms, which is right across from the BNSF service facilities and I never have no issues there. It’s safe and I can keep an eye on my vehicle.
I’m also thinking someday when I’m up at the Cajon Pass I’ll probably run into you since you’re putting out more content. I’ll be the old guy in the old JEEP CJ7
You can stay there all day. Parking is good too. Didn't have any problems when me and my son Ethan were there several months ago.
@remylopez4821 it is surprisingly very clean and safe location. Security is super cool with people fanning/benching from the platform from what it seems. I left the Fake Jeep out front without any worry, there is an area on the East end of the parking lot that you would be able to see your vehicle from the platform if you parked there. Killer spot you gotta check it out. I will keep my eyes peeled for ya in the pass! 😁🤝

@Fourwheeljive tell your friend no, and that it was a fantastic question! 😊Thank you for asking it for them. Believe it or not, these huge trains with as many as 9 or more locomotives pulling/pushing them sometimes only require a crew of 2 operators! An engineer and a conductor. Quite amazing. All of the locomotives that are connected into one train are controlled by the lead loco. A group of locomotives is called a consist. 😊👍👍👍👍excellent question Robert!
