You will love it! Mine is silver as well. I got the sportwagen limited last year. I got a great deal too! Under $22k and has all option but lighting package and fender audio. Love it
Weird. It's night & day difference. I'm working on an order with DeAutoKey now for literally every LED they make for the Golf Sportwagen. Will fix all of these issues. LED Fog, Turn, Brake, Interior and Cornering lights. Rough $400 for the whole package.
I love the Sportwagen. I am thinking about getting one next year. I would like to know how the maintenance cost has been and if there are any mechanical problems? Thanks!
We have a 2016 GSW and are very happy with it. We are still clinging to our 2001 Passat wagon, which is also still going strong after all these years. You do have to take scrupulous care of VW/Audi cars.
brother how reliable has vw been to you? also how does the sportwagen drive .. i been looking for a tdi 2015 sportwagen.. has it been sporty ? im also looking into a vura tsx wagon
I have had pretty good luck with VWs over the years (2001 Passat wagon and 2016 Golf Sportwagen), but I maintain them pretty scrupulously. They do not thrive on neglect, like a Toyota. Only problem so far with the GSW is the gas cap stopped "clicking" properly, so I replaced it (easy, cheap repair) instead of waiting for inevitable Check Engine light. Over the years, I have had very common Passat failures, including the oil cooler (easy and cheap to replace), the power window control knob (likewise), the ABS controller (a bit costlier repair, but easy to swap units), and the Mass Air Flow Sensor (sub-$100 part, trivial to swap out). Online forums such as Passatworld and VWVortex and a VCDS from Ross Tech have saved me a ton of time and money.
Maybe. Electrical issues (total fry/meltdown of the power window/lock wiring harness) finally killed my 1996 Audi A4 Quattro, but it was almost 24 years old at the time. I have had only a couple of electrical issues on the 2001 Passat wagon (infamous ABS control module) and none so far on the 2016 GSW.
Like the wagon, looking at the awd version, also the R looks awesome man!
It's a wonderful car! You should get one. The Sportwagen is so roomy and comfortable.

Damnit Adam
Looks great in silver
Thanks Paul! heather is in love with the car. Now, to start mods!!!!
Oh let me know if your passenger seat seatbelt warning is over sensitive I can't even set my iPad on it without the buckle up chime going off
+joegolden481 congrats. You can get the VCDS cable and disable the seatbelt warning.
@@AdamChandler86 Don't buy a VW/Audi car without also getting a VCDS. :)
A fully optioned Golf GTI has the same crappy turn signals and single DRL :( I guess they needed to separate the Golf R as much as possible.

Never get stuck on color. You start from a position of power when negotiating to buy a car.

30K Miles so far, no issues. We do all of our own maintenance.

The Sportwagen and my Golf R are both amazing. The wagen is only 170 HP and lacks the TDI torque.
