Poor Brittany, she died in her prime, and could have accomplished so much more, and was in the middle of launching a music career. I can't blame Winona Ryder for refusing to watch "Girl, Interrupted", since much like her character Daisy, Brittany died in a bathtub. 😭💔
I had no idea about the latter as I have not seen the full movie, I UNDERSTAND WINONA, so sad:((( I will always love Brittany🖤

I think they had a shower in that house. And she was laying on the bathroom floor. Not sure if she actually died on the floor or later on in the hospital. I think I read this in an article but I might have to do research again to find out how it happened. Or can someone here correct me if I'm wrong?
Spoiler alert: In the movie I think her character hangs herself above the bathtub.

What a tragic end to such a beautiful and talented woman. I don't know what's worse, her dying at such a young age, thinking what could have been, or knowing what never will be in regards to this talented woman's life. I still love watching Clueless over and over again, but with a hint of sadness behind my eyes because of her being gone
I love Clueless and King of the Hill. But it is hard to watch those now knowing she's gone. She had so much promise and talent.

I think it's very interesting how even Brittany's Father thinks the Mother killed her. There is definitely something wrong with Sharon. Sleeping with Simon after Brittany's death is super creepy and disgusting.
The father was a mobster uninvolved in brittanys life. He likely wanted a chunk of cash. He has since passed away a couple years ago now
I personally think that she killed them both. Brittany’s career was on a downturn..the fame was always about Sharon, living vicariously through her daughter, and Sharon could see that slipping away. There’s no way that they could have both died of pneumonia and anaemia 5 months apart. That’s highly unusual.

@@Beltzer0072 I believe Sharon. If it had just been Brittany, it was a tragedy..but for her husband to die of the exact same causes within months? Yeah, nup. That house wasn’t a great house. Britney Spears saw something in it that scared her so badly she fled and never returned. Brittany Murphy hated the place. And, it was built by Madonna..so God only knows what the heck went down there.
Her hair, laugh, smile, accent, acting abilities are terribly missed.
Other than clueless, of course, my favorite movie of hers was Uptown Girls.

I always liked her Luanne voice from King of the Hill. That was the best voice acting ever.
Her death just never sat right with me, and the fact that her husband died of the same think tells me that her mother had something to do with their deaths.
And not just the same way, I heard that his body was found at the same place hers was 😖.
Her death could have been prevented if her mother wasn't so overbearing and didn't get with Simon Monjack.

She always seemed like a beautiful soul. It was so sad when she passed. It was tough hearing Kathy Najimy’s comments as she is one from Hollywood I would trust when talking about stuff like this.
She had those devious eyebrows and that raspy soft voice that set off a flood of beauty and sexiness. She was able to make you believe she could be your gf.

Her story was so sad after what happened that day and after her husband died it doesn’t make any sense like how did he never told anyone about the biopsy and the interview was so creepy with with his mother-in-law and it doesn’t make any sense and I feel like he was such a creep like what happened that day that he did something wrong do you feel like he did something to her and after he passed away in 2010 no justice they never make him like a suspect because he play the innocent that’s not even fair and her last words was so sad I’m dying I’m going to die mommy I love you
I think it's kind of weird that her mother was so close-knit with him. As if they both had been teamed up to make the most money off of Brittany!!!

Yes Clueless was a classic, but Drop Dead Gorgeous is so underrated

I was pretty saddened at the time of hearing Brittany's passing. Ever since seeing Clueless from when it first came out (I was a teenager) and I'd see her on screen, I'd get and I still get the 😍 feeling for her. Miss seeing her in movies these days.
I always felt like her mom and husband had a weirdly close relationship after her passing. If you ask me they knew they didn't apply for "not for profit status" they were using Britneys legacy to make money, just like they used Britney when she was alive, to mooch off of.

The doc was exploitative. They used clips of her in various roles in a crass attempt to heighten drama & manipulate the narrative as if she were providing commentary from beyond the grave. It also did no service to her voice; she was a beautiful singer. Not enough people know about that.
I re-listened to her Somebody to Love cover from Happy Feet and I got chills. She was amazing. 💔

I honestly loved the documentary because it opened my eyes.
I never knew about her last years even though I was familiar with her work way before her tragic death.
Her legacy is tent to be forgotten because she did not have that typical breakout role like Heath did with Brokeback mountain or Dark knight even though she gave numerous award worthy performances, especially in Don't say a word or Girl, interrupted and I wholeheartedly could recommend Dead girl, she stole the show!

I really enjoyed most of this video and anything that honors TheLady Ms. Brittany Murphy...
such, such, **such** an awesome Person&Artist....the only thing I didn't like about this little video was the part that said she "couldn't handle" the spotlight, towards the end. She was doing great for herself career-wise: from Girl Interrupted (1999) thru her voicework on Happy Feet (2006) or she wouldn't have garnered all the roles she did in that time-frame IMO...She was probably burnt-out and needed a break (I know I would have pumping all the stuff she did in that time frame...sheesh. Lol!!)
This guy (Monjack) came-in during a time where she was seemingly transitioning for herself career/life-wise...The 2-part HBO documentary makes that part of the story very clear (Monjack's predation that is)...Especially when Ms. Elizabeth Ragsdale is interviewed and she speaks of her past relations; his actions were eye-opening....Guy was a predator and con-artist, no doubt (from all the information presented in the documentary that is to say).
