I agree about Tina's smile. She's fun to be around. Cooking with Jerry would be a disaster. I can't follow a recipe without changing it and all cooking times are measured by # of beers you drink. (I blame Emeril Lagasse for that one.)

I've been going through and organizing hikes by difficulty in anticipation of my upcoming recovery. Never fun cutting back what you're doing, but I've found a lot of things that I'm genuinely excited for. Hopefully you're doing something similar and still getting out there.
Your video editing never ceases to amaze me! Another excellent production, not to mention the stunning scenery from all the hiking adventures! Wow! And you are so right…our time here is so precious and valuable. And after five plus years of serious back issues, I have regained much of my health again and plan to make the most of it with the time I have. My back won’t allow me to do multi-day back-country hikes (with a heavy backpack) now, but I am traveling to Spain in April 2024 to walk the Camino Frances…from the French Pyrenees to the end of the world (Finisterre)….all 600+ miles over a 60 day walk. It will be a celebration of health and happiness! Thank you, Jerry and Tina, for taking us along on your adventures and challenging us to get outside and experience the great outdoors! Peace be with you.

OMG we miss you!! This absense has made me realize that YOUR videos are by far our favorites and the absense(altho, necessary) has left a void in our travel!! We began living vicariously thru your videos a few years back and now we realize that you have helped us live the life we wished we'd have lived many years ago. We wish you and Tina the BEST and Healthiest of New Years, and quick and thorough healing and wait anxiously for every video. NO PRESSURE!!!! ;)

I've been doing a lot of planning and prep in the downtime so far. We're heading back out soon and hopefully I can crank out some videos in the weeks before surgery. And I already have a bunch of easier stuff planned for the initial recovery. So hopefully the down time won't be too much.

Despite not going "Cooking with Jerry", haha, this video has a rich menu of superlative scenery ,sun, snow, mud baths, ice baths, rope dangles and finishing up with a new signature dish, Ärizona Grilled Cheese". I had to stop the vid lots to have another look at the staccato of rock features, particularly the double arch at 3.21. At 6.16 it appears if the stern is held up by duct tape, haha.
Rolled into the middle of this wrap is the message to the flock. Wise words Jerry, the hourglass waits for no one. Best wishes to you Mr and Mrs Arizona for 2024 and your speedy recovery.

I've been doing a lot of research to prepare for my upcoming recovery. Lately I'd been thinking we'd seen it all, but man....we haven't even scratched the surface of what this state has to offer. So glad to call AZ home.

Oh Jerry, how you and Tina make my wife and I laugh. And your videos genuinely inspire us to get out and see the beautiful outdoors, especially the western United States. Parts of this video look very familiar as we’ve visited several of the same places recently. You’re so right about time just slipping away if you let it. We’re realizing the clock is ticking faster and faster for us. I’m grateful we started watching your videos several years ago and have made a real effort to go places and to see them up close and in person. Viewing your work is a big part of the reason we’ve done that. Sincere thanks for doing what you do, and hope you get fully recovered soon for 2024.

Amen, just go! Health issues kept me close to home for 30 years, but no that it's finally behind me, I'm going. First big trip is the Rim to Rim in the fall.

Thank you for the awesome videos you gave us in 2023! My favorite video of all time was Angels Landing in the snow! I bet I watched and shared that video at least 20 times!! That was crazy! Thank you! That hike was one of the most incredible hikes I've done. Even just driving through Zion in that showstorm was mind blowing. Wasn't that bad with micro spikes, honestly. Just that one bit at the beginning of the chain section.

Still waiting on my surgery date.....Finally got it scheduled, then pulled in due to someone's cancellation. Can't get it done fast enough. In the meantime, I'm taking it easy and trying to not tear the thing completely loose.

Thank you. I grew up in Illinois. The struggle to find hiking spots out there in the midwest is real. Definitely prefer living out here in AZ. And Angel's was absolutely epic in those conditions. That trip may have been a once in a lifetime. Just right place, right time.

You continually amaze me with how you edit all these amazing places into a beautiful and captivating year end video. The snowy conditions in Zion was the most amazing scenery I've ever seen.
My family and I are moving to Phoenix this summer from the Midwest. We're looking forward to visiting all these amazing places on a weekly basis!

Great video. Love the intro.and the humorous bits. With regard to your theme of taking advantage of the time we have and using that time to do what we love best, I sure wish someone had guided me in that direction 30 years ago; or that I had realized it on my own,
I feel that way a lot. I didn't figure it out for a long time. Wish I knew it back in my 20's. But I try to let that go and focus on what's ahead. Really all you can do.

Maybe one of these days I'll complete my Superstition loop with you.....Or you can guide me up Praying Hands or Mother Lode. You'll be a hardened rock climber/alpinist by the time I can do those types of adventures at the rate you're going.

Hi both, I'm 79 now. Spent many years hiking, off roading, climbing and camping in the four corners. No regrets at all, I would do it all over again, unlikely now. Utube is now my salvation. Thanks for all your vids, so entertaining. Happy and a healthy 2024 to you both from an oldtimer Englishman.

Great f'n year Jerry, thanks for taking us along with you. I completely agree with your sentiment of do it now while you still can. That is the exact reason why my wife and I retired early from very good careers, and we haven't looked back. One addition I would add to your creed, spend time with friends that mean something to you because they will not all be here tomorrow. Do what you love with whom you love and will be very happy in life. Heal quickly and I'm looking forward to what you bring us next year. Thanks again.
