People have been saying how Lyles is the best sprinter of this generation and sorry I just don't see it. He barely won the 100m final and people acted like he ran an amazing race when he was just as close to coming second as he was winning it. Regardless of people making excuses for him not winning this because of covid it's not the first time he failed in the 200m final. He also made the claim that he was very close to breaking Bolts world record in the 100 leading up to the Olympics and his best time was actually in that narrow win he had so not only is he not close he is not consistent enough either. Just a typical flamboyant American sprinter thinking he is better than he actually is.

Asthma ain’t no joke bruh. Asthma is a big deal when it comes to sports like racing especially a 200 meter race where you want every ounce of energy. Other athletes body is not built the same, so some people probably have less severe cases of asthma and some are acute. Asthma and Covid that’s a double whammy for the lungs, he’s not breathing a 100%.
