Thats not humility, that Lyles living rent free in his head. He won the gold and asked of being the face and he says Lyles name... that's exhibiting some level of arrogance or jealousy. Instead of focusing on his own achievement, he is drawing attention to the Lyles, he's still caught up in the rivalry. He is also showing an underlying insecurity or need to assert his own worth by contrasting to Lyles. In sports, humility in victory is often seen as a mark of true sportsmanship. His remarks undermine that perception, m he's trying to elevate himself by bringing down Lyles, rather than simply celebrating his win!
