Isn't it eerie, Harry talks about The Ski Trip to Vermont, and then in The Talented Mr. Ripley, Freddie Miles organizes the trip to Cortino to which Tom is not invited to. 😊
I really hated those guys. They know that Charlie isn't in the same financial echelon they are in. Also they have to remember it's not their Money that is being spent, it's their "Daddy's Money". If I were their Fathers, I'd cancel all of their trips and make them do volunteer work helping The Homeless.
No you wouldn’t because if you were from that background you’d realize this is completely normal behavior for this class of people and their generational wealth. The grandfather probably attended the same school as well as the father. Generations of pompous assholes lol
The Actor who played Harry Havemeyer reminds me of a Teen Version of Cutter Amberville when he was at Stanford in The Novel I'll Take Manhattan by Judith Krantz that was a miniseries on CBS in the 1980's. As for Gstaad it is home to Le Rosey one of Europe's top Boarding Schools. Also did you see Trent's Backpack. It looks like something out of GQ.
Isn't it amazing how the day before Thanksgiving Weekend the fellows were happy as larks and then Harry (The Ringleader) cajoled Jimmy and Trent into doing this prank. They were so much his "B@tches!" then deciding to allow poor charlie to take the fall.
Also look at Jimmy Jameson, Harry Havemeyer and Trent Potter. They are sons of rich men, but don't take the time to dress appropriately while Charlie is scholarhship and presents himself in his suit and tie like a true young gentleman.
He was in love with Dirk the moment he saw him at The Pool Party. I was stunned to know the Man who hauled out the Girl who overdosed is the Son of Ralph Lauren. Scotty allowed his personal feelings for Dirk to cloud his common sense. Even when he tried to warn Eddie about The Drug Deal, Dirk told him to mind his own business, and he almost got killed, and his car was destroyed.
This is so cringe. I get that you are supposed to dislike them but the filming kind of made it hard to focus on any one person. It felt like T was meandering and they were cutting each other off.
Famous movie I never saw. Pacino's voice was so annoying in it. Didn't know Hoffman was in it. How young he was. What a waste. That dude could play anything.
In The Talented Mr. Ripley, Dickie cajoles Tom about not knowing how to ski let alone swim. Then Phillip Seymour Hoffman plays Freddie Miles. In the Netflix version Freddie's Father is a Hotel Mogul.
This movie is interesting in that it makes none of the bullies particularly handsome or athletic-looking. They’re just rich jerks.
It was so incredibly satisfying to see Lt. Col. Slade totally call out and humble these blue blood snobs.
"Where ever u are out there, F u too"- Indeed!
PSH playing Freddie Miles in high school.

Nicholas Sadler 😍

Al Pacino Realized it.... and let them have it in his OSCAR WINNING SPEECH
@@bongodrummer6914 Yes. This was even heavier than with Arthur Kirkland in And Justice For All.

Yeah, EVERYONE hates druggies!!
That’s why they’re rich and you’re not. They keep it in the family and their fathers did likewise.
The mailbox that Harry has was similar to the one in The Netflix Version of Ripley.

Wast ist mit einen loss ?
RIP, PSH. He was such a pathetic turd here and in Boogie Nights, but the ultimate best friend in Along Came Polly.

Also The Hunger Games
He wasn't a turd in Boogie Nights though, just a victim of unrequited love. He was a massive turd in The Talented Mr. Ripley, though.

Whoooo-ahhhh
Jessica Rabbit?
If you never saw it, how do you know it is a waste?
PSH RIP wasted talent
He was a weak minded fool, just like River Phoenix,Matthew Perry et al
Yes, he was so diversified. My favorite roles was Boogie Nights, Owing Mahoney, The Talented Mr. Ripley, and Doubt.
@@bongodrummer6914 Agreed!!He was a weak minded fool. Damn Druggie
