Maybe 15 years ago the Skatalites played in a wee pub in Inverness Scotland. A very lovely wee old lady sat at our table while we watched the band. We hardly noticed her the band were rocking.. About half way through up she went to the stage and joined the band..... OMG!!

the legendary drummer sparow thompson give me his hand-signed drumsticks after a show last year (2017) in saõ Paulo, and i'm forever gratefull for this gift...long live ska - reggae music and the skatalites. true love from brasil!
20 years ago I had the luck that the original and legendary Skatalites drummer Lloyd Knibb gave me his drum sticks (I was a drum stick collector at this time) and I could talked to him for some minutes in the backstage area. That was a really stunning and inspiring moment for me.

saw them in a small club in Harrisburg Pa. was up in the bar area and sat down with Doreen and we started talking not knowing who she was but found out we were both Manchester United fans .and were talking about old school skins and rudies then her aide came and said the band was ready for her. Is a small world but she was a very friendly person
