Unity was such an underrated game.The combat and the parkour all flow so smoothly. It was also one of the prettiest AC games because of how vibrant it was.
Yeah same with syndicate tbh though i do hope mirage is more structured and linear (it can still be open world just should have a story disconnected from the open world) I'm so glad to see these mechanics returning

That was the level of dedication of assassins: they were willing to give their lives to the creed that, as long as the target dies, their safety wasn't important
There was another tactic. Befriend the victim for years, then killing him in plain sight screaming the name of your dogma. This happened during the first crusade and thwarted an seljukid force that was about to go to war. History is quite ironic sometimes

Arno definitely had the most assassin feel to him out of all the protagonists. Assassins are supposed to be fast, agile, sneaky, and more of an athletic build than being an absolute tank like Conner for example.

It was the guns the made particularly hard for me. I mean, once you adjust to countering the swordsmen and just shoot the big guys it becomes easy, especially with smoke bones in the mix- but once you put the rifleman or pistol dudes in the mix, shit becomes exponentially more difficult

Once you got better weapons and abilities it was pretty easy. I did like that at the start the combat was punishing, it made it more worth it to be a stealthy assassin. If you alerted them and had even 3-4 enemies on you, it was an easy death. Most AC games you could take on armies of enemies without a problem, being a stealthy assassin wasn't required or encouraged outside of the few missions that simply ended if you alerted anyone.
The combat was definitely challenging, but very rewarding in my opinion. It punishes you for mistakes, but but once you land a good strike, you've got your duel in the bag. It's definitely a learning curve.
properly is subjective, hence the video. but i like the slow burn of Unity's missions too. reminds me of a more fast paced version of the mew Hitman games.
Love that Unity gives you so many options to play with; you could smoke in the front door like this, or pick the lock on a second-floor window for an air assassination, or patiently blend your way through the crowds and walk calmly up to him, etc. Gameplay-wise this is my favorite entry, really wish the co-op was still working

AC already tried implementing little aspects from ImSims like thr black box missions in Unity and improved it in Syndicate. Sadly they abandoned this in favor of the witcher wannabies we have now (origins was still great tho).
I liked this mission simply for the fact that it could take 30 seconds or 30 minutes depending on your approach. Wanna rush in and snag the kill? Go ahead. Wanna tease all the pieces in place for the perfect covert kill. Also an option
This is easily one of my favorite installments in the AC franchise. I liked the story, I loved the Romeo and Juliet dynamic between Arno and Elíse. The parkour was smooth and it felt like a return to the origins of the series in regards to the concept of being a blade in a crowd.

I dida run where I try to unload my whole arsenal into the guards, smoke bombs, berserk darts,poison, then unload a whole clip into the targets before assassinating. For some reason it made more sense to make huge spectacle of the earlier assassinations as a means of signifying the rising tension of revolution

I played this for like 40hrs in the first few weeks it came out, over a sibling's house, because I didn't have a PS4 back then. It's hard to get back into nowadays. Awesome parkour, if a little rough in execution (it needed to be iterated on, damn Ubisoft for not doing that). Great setting, graphics (after some optimization). But trying to go back it now, the world is just repetitive and empty. It's cool you can play the made for online missions in single player, but the progression system/skills are so lackluster. It was live service type progression, well before live service became tolerable. Hopefully, they'll revisit some foundation stuff from this in Red.

When I got this game I immidietly tried to do this. Went exactly as I thought it would.
I vote for Unity to get a remastered edition like the Ezio collection I think it deserves it.
