    Thanks for this! I picked up Scaler 2 a couple of weeks ago when it went on sale with the release of v2.5. I've really been enjoying it I had been on the fence about Divisimate but bought it just now, after watching your video. It's still on sale, 30% off, until Dec 2nd, if anyone wants to take advantage of that. The Sonokinetic sale is next week and I fear my wallet is going to take yet another beating! 😀

      Manley its a good time to buy. make sure to sign up for the sonokinetic sale and giveaways in Dec. from the sono website. In my experience you have a great chance to get a least 1 free library if your fast and follow their instructions

    How do I route everything? I followed the instructions and when I try to use scaler 2.7 with divisimate, I get hung notes each and every time. It will not work.

    I would really like to see you getting to grips with the newly released 2022 BIAB. From a brief look around, it looks like a major step forward. Thanks for the great tutorials on a wide range of software.

    Do you have a video showing how to have Scaler go to Divisimate and back to Cubase? This doesn’t show any of that. Thanks for any info. Cheers!

    • @41Fingers
      @41Fingers  Рік тому

      Yes you can use scaler to control divisimate, turn on loopback in divisimate options, make a cubase midi track for that loopback, set the input as scaler. I hope I remembered that right.

    Will this software work in FL studio and scaler together ? Asking this before I make purchase.

    Thank you for this video! I purchased Divisimate after watching this. But could you explain a bit more about how you got Scaler to work with Divisimate? I'm not using Cubase (Bitwig instead) but I'd love to learn how you do it. Please oh pretty please?

      @@shawnhsu Hi Shawn glad its working. Divisimate can really make sample libraries shine. Learning how to use it correctly is an ongoing effort. I plan more videos. Also do a youtube search as others are discovering it too.

    Hello, can you show step by step on how you get Scaler 2 to cooperate with Divisimate and back into Cubase? I have Scaler 2 connected correctly to the Loopback input but when I press a binded key of chords on the Scaler track all I get is stuck notes and delayed notes being heard.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advanced.
    I have Scaler 2.7 and Cubase Pro 12 and Divisimate 1.3.2

      Seems to be a bug in Scaler 2.7

    I was hoping divisimate wasn't going to make it into the final template ):.. black weekend drained the funds and this is another $200 CDN :). I have tried it an very nice software (and great company) but it seemed to me to be more useful to musicians that can play rather than to people like me that just "paint" my notes into the DAW or generate chords with software like Scaler. Or am I missing the mark completely? I want to follow along on your journey as I think you are in a very interesting, even futuristic area of music production. Thx again for your efforts.

      Very good comment and question. Divisimate helps people orchestrate and harmonize instruments better both new and pro imo. The pro gets a template setup to help him work faster and with more Ideas. The amateur gets to see how its done and that's a major learning tool imo. Also if you use use the Presets as intended you can move forward straight out of the box. Divisimate is helping me move forward and I hope to show more of that in the future.

    Nice work. I see from your Patreon info that you make your midi files available to sponsors. Will you be doing the same with your Cubase template(s)..

    • @41Fingers
      @41Fingers  2 роки тому

      Steve that's a good question. I think providing a general cubase template is a good idea. Once I get things sorted out. Right now I am simplifying as much as possible but want this system to work with every vst including divisimate and band in the box

      @@41Fingers Fair enough. I’ve been working along similar lines to these for the past 12 months or so, trying to find an easily and quickly accessible way to get the most out of the amazing technology and musical material that’s available these days. It’s a lot of fun, but it gets tougher and tougher to keep focussed as you look to incorporate more and more libraries and controller techniques. Band in a Box was a step too far for me, but good luck to you, and I look forward to maybe sharing your progress over the coming weeks/months/years. All the best!

      @@steveedgar2400 Each library and its quirks brings something beautiful to the composition. Being able to play any library or system in harmony with all the others is a worthy goal in my view and has rewarded me greatly on the way. ps I just did a 8 measure test with bb playing the bass and drums, toc2 plays tutti strings, sonokinetic noir plays sections and solos. and it works great. scaler 2.5 driving it all. a solid system negates the quirks. then all the instrument reverbs can be turned down and all sent to a session bus with a master reverb or space to make them sound more like they were recorded in a similar room. All this isn't to create a frankenstein monster but simply to enable one to use any system with another. eg. the beautiful sono noir solo's with huge divisimate jazz chords from VSL

      @@41Fingers That’s great - well done! I used to mess around with B-in-a-B 10 or 12 years ago, and from what I see on YT these days - and what you say seems to confirm it - it has come on a ton since then. My main interest nowadays is in more orchestral music, but I’m still thinking maybe I need to look at BB again. Trouble is at my age it gets harder and harder to learn new tricks, if you know what I mean. Keep at it!

    I rely on Scaler 2.7 to play since I’m not up on my theory yet. I know you can use Scaler with Divisimate via the loopback function, but does divisimate record the midi of the scale locked notes from Scaler or just the notes as I play them on the keyboard as is? If I were to use just Scaler, I would have to drag and drop the midi afterwards. Do I have to do that still when using Divisimate?

    • @41Fingers
      @41Fingers  Рік тому +1

      Eric, If I understand you correctly... if you use scaler to drive divisimate loopback track, the midi you record on that track should be corrected midi notes. should work imo. But divisimate can now do scale locking too so one might have to experiment.
