I am 100% sure the color option for the interior is ‘pimp red’
Nice car my friend the best of the 70s
@@ahmedeson8309 my dad had one and he used it to drag race :)
Yeah yeah you are right.
My advice: grab a hooker. It will be perfect match.
@Greg G both?
It's actually called porn star red
Dealer: How much red do you want on the car?
Customer: Yes
2:17 That sound gave me goosebumps
I love it. It is my dream to get an automatic 350 v8 from 79
@@pufferfish9045 It’s a whole lotta attention
Me too !
Bout time Forza Horizon upgraded their graphics and car sound
I just played Forza and won a 79 camero z28 lol
haha. I been playing forza 1 on og xbox, not impressed by there progress over the years. they could have went into the tuner aspect of things, instead we got Lego's.
@@jquan6874 on god bro i was hoping they bring in something new other than a map and like what 10 new cars ? + the 100s of recycyled old ones. Horizon 3 is when i drew the line.
They did since when?
Gta V needs to do the same with their Old School American car Sounds.
It is a pity, that nowadays there is no cars like that: with cool design, great sound and gorgeous characteristics...
Fantom Silver i know right now there makinv where you can facetime
Most cars now have one of those, or none at all
Fantom Silver,
You mean like a Hellcat, GT500, ZL1?
The good old days, kinda sucked, compared to the performance cars of today.
?? The new corvettes are incredible looking.
BMW M, Merc AMG, all Maseratis, Audi's S/RS trims, etc.....
Not a Camaro fanboy but damn does that engine growl sound so beautiful. A true classic and definite muscle car.
These are badass drivers
Naw, we're talking maybe 185hp. But the Z came with the goodies like quick ratio steering, heavy duty sway and anti sway bars, and posi traction with your choice of gears for the rears if you ordered it personally at a dealership.
By the way, in the game Forza Horizon 5, the roar of this Camaro is so cool that it impresses me for a 1979 car.
Man, I love those old V8 cars; a whiff of gas will always make me remember the good old days, and that V8 rumble. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
ebonpaladin deep
I miss that slight fuel and old vinyl smell you get , they primitive clank of the door when you close it and the way you can feel the engine vibrating the car. Family means now all I feel is sticky sweets stuck to my arse when I sit in my people carrier !!
Damn right
@@v8cool231 Lol
Old cars?
I must be getting old because to me an old car is a 60’s car
My friend had one of these in blue in 1980
It’s now sitting in a field with the motor missing
Sweet ride theres just one problem with the car and the problem is its not in my driveway...Thank u..
😂😂🤣
The problem is that it's really unreliable and i am pretty sure that after this video was end the car has probably been broke down
The problem is that’s it an automatic
Gamer Studio small block chevys are the most reliable engines ever so what are you talking about
Same
5:21 Awesome power!!!
This interior is as example of how today's cars should be done, beautiful colors and materials, I love those power window buttons in the control panel between the seats too !
I have a 2002 SLP SS and its power and handling is still way above average but the interior is just the weakest point of those cars, black and no character to it and prone or all kinds of sun damage :(
I had a 79 Z28 with a 4 speed stick .The sound of the car in this video made me remember what it sounded like.I want another now.
go buy one! WTF u waiting for????
I hate Automatics....But I could daily this....loooks mint bro
CalloCalde92 Agreed! This is one of very few automatics I could live with as a daily.
The old automatics are kind of cool. Very mechanical feeling.
Same
And i hate manuals
Meth Cook cuz you can’t drive it orrrr...?
Stranger things anyone ? Billys car
Exactly! I just fell in love with this car.
Meeee
Yes, it's Billy's car

he's brave blasting one of those around country lanes in the wet. Mine used to be very twitchy in the wet.
It's so uncomfortable to watch you driving on the wrong side of a road.
Magic Wind it’s in the UK.
He’d outrun the bobbies in this car
*laughs in Australian*
@@xennethsixx2838 England: *raises eyebrow in British* 😂
It's on the left universally tbh
That sound ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Look how clean that is, and the alignment is perfect!
I know a guy who had an 80 Camaro. Dude took years to get it all fixed up. It was his baby. Cammed 350, 5-speed, chromed everything that could be chromed, nice paint, Immaculate interior, the works! It was really nice and scary powerful. This car was gorgeous! Car-show material! Ran like a champ and sounded soo good. A 2nd Gen Camaro-lovers wet dream..
But... * loud sigh * He gave it to his son who mercilessly beat the hell out of it. Chopped up the dash to put in a DVD stereo, sawed holes in the interior to install more speakers and sub-woofers, for his (c)rap "music". He plastered it with cheap, stick-on stripes, and "No Fear!" stickers etc, with skulls and shit like that. He chopped a hole in the roof to put in some cheap leaky sunroof he got out of a truck in a junkyard. The kid just ruined the car. Whooped it on gravel roads, sliding and doing donuts. Less than 6 months after this kid got the car, it had dents and scrapes, the interior was trashed and filthy. Stained with spilled Mountain Dew. It stunk of mildew from the leaky sunroof, and of moldy french-fries and half-eaten burgers tossed into the floor, and of the well used, meth-head/crack-whore chicks he banged. The engine smoked and knocked. This kid pissed me off so bad that I stopped going anywhere near him. 12 years of work, love, blood, tears and time, to get that Camaro to be the beauty it was, and some punk destroys it in 2 years. Freaking... Tragic!
Last time I saw the car it was beaten to hell, stripped out, had a mis-matched drivers door, and sitting in the mud at a junk-yard 2 years after he got it. Lesson to be learned: Don't give your douchebag, male-slut, punk kid a nice car, when the the only thing he ever cared about was a tv game system.
Dude, if by some strange chance you're reading this, (you know who you are) I shoulda' slapped the dog piss outa' you, and your dad should have stuck his foot down your throat. At least you are no longer desecrating a classic, and now you drive a car that you honestly deserve to drive... A rusted out and battered, heap of a Dodge Neon with the "Trash Dumpster" interior. It's basically Adam Sandlers' "P.O.S. Car" with the clear plastic duct-taped over the busted side window. .. You moron.
The paint and interior is beautiful, hoping I'll get mine looking that nice eventually
Yo what's up I'm actually fixing my 79 z28 and it's well worth it not as fast but still puts a smile lol good luck on youra
That’s my favorite muscle car of all time 78-81 Camaro my father had one bad ass car
I graduated High School, Buffalo, N.Y. 1986. At this time a car like that would have been a dime a dozen, yet, I still love them, and you have a great example of the 79' Camaro in it's prime.
what a beautiful car, the sound of the V8 to the old school interior is just awesome.
I love that camaros share characteristics thru the generations that only the drivers would know about. 1 example is that turn signal sound. My 69 and 97 and this 79 here all have the same sound
Next to the 69 and 72 body styles I love this one as well. I’ve driven a 76 TA and a 78 Camaro. Both were fun as hell.
Makes me miss my 1978 Z28 white w matching color wheels. Similar interior color.
73 Z-28 built 350 candy apple red leppard paint job with white racing stripes over the top. Sidepipes, craiger rims, super wide track 50 Hoosier slicks on rear.
I've loved the look of this car since I built a kit model of it when I was a kid
Had a souped up Monte Carlo that I wrecked unfortunately but man it was fast. it was the only really old car I ever owned.
Dealer: So how red do you want the car to be?
Customer: *Yes*
My favorite style Camaro. My dad had a white '79 with orange stripes. 305 / 4-speed though.
I really love that car, this is the American dream! 🇺🇸
Way better than modern Camaro!
Picking mine up on Saturday SOOOO EXCITED!! Got it in red with black stripes and black rims! 😃
Watching this video while driving the exact same year, color and interior.
Amazing. You have great taste - Stunning colour combination!
Had 3of these as a teen, the one I drove daily would go 0 to 60in4.5,mild built small block, TCI trans,3:73posi,great cars, steering likes to wash in the corners, and they fall apart quick if you beat on em,just part of the fun!
Im at the age where I drove those late 70's Z28s when they were new. They were fun to drive. They didn't feel under powered until the top end. Ive had plenty of camaros over the years and those are under appreciated years IMHO.
I had a 79 Z28 with that exact color. I miss that car so much and rue the day i sold it.
Very cool view! Thanks for sharing the ride
My dream car the second gen Camaro. I love the sound, smoothness and the color combo of this particular car. Awesome.
now i miss my z28 1978 . thanks for the video
dream car
Thanks for the ride pal...👍🌹
These cars were perfect for controlled oversteer around turns, you could really get a feel for the weight and power.
I owned a 2nd gen f body years ago and i always regret selling it. They are the BEST driving cars. The long hood and super light steering are such a cool experience and they handle surprisingly well for their age
Test deiving a 70's muscle car on slick narrow roads... Auuhhh..ok I'll watch
Real deal steel just started reproducing new body Shells for these. Yay! You can build a brand new Camaro
Had a 78 , first car.... fun car 😈. Not so good in the rain thought. Terrific highway car. Miss it still.
Thank You!!! Brought back some good memories and a smile to my face!
My favorite Generation of Camaro right here, I love it. My dad used to have one of these but with the t top, and he had to sell it. It was amazing!
I usually don't like the 1973-81 Camaros but this one is amazing.
Now at Spurr Classic Cars in Sheffield. Believe me its in good hands!
Man do I miss the view of that hood out of my windshield! The sound just completes it.
The sound 😱
This was my first car!
Got it @ age 17!
Ha!
Wow!
So many good memories!
Thank you for making this video!
:D
How old are ya now (not in a weird way )
@@pistonkingenterprises1972 im guessing hes in his 40's
Seriously, at 17, your first car was a Camaro like that? I am 17 years old here in Brazil, I only ride a motorcycle, and it still belongs to my father haha, but my dream car is a Golf from the year 2000
I just turned 19 and I bought one of these at 18 for $4500, great first car and very fun to drive/work on
79 was a pretty watered down year for Horsepower, but the body styles were still really good. Wish I had my 79 Trans Am back, nice ride, by the way.
Made at the Norwood Ohio plant. GM (Cincinnati) They closed in 1987. She's sure traveled a long way from home. 👍
Today, you would not know a car company once was there. All new offices buildings. 🚘
Mr. HAHN yep! My great uncle worked there! My brother has a 1980 built in Norwood, I have a 1981 that came from the Van Nuys, California plant.
The best car for racing and chill
This video is WAY above average. Thanks for excellent POV footage.
Thank you! Check out our channel, we have over 150 POV driving videos :)
I want this car. This is the car in which I learned to drive. My father purchased it in Bremerhaven, Germany. We brought it back to the states and my uncle totaled it driving drunk. This is the exact color and everything. The speedometer was in KMs was well.
Thanks for posting this!
this car its my dream i love camaro, perfect thanks for share
This car looks like it would be a great cruiser. It looks great, and sounds great.
It's rare you see this year and body shape in prestige condition
This was fun to watch, never driven one of these
This is a beautiful video. I had my '78 until 2011. The number plate was BML228T. I'd buy it back if it was available.
I have an 81 Z28 with the 350 and the factory 4 speed, red on red interior. I'm fixing it up and hope it will look as good as this one some day
Man that thing pulls just like I dreamt it would
Super cool car. Thank you for sharing
I really enjoyed this video! This might not be my favourite year but that's a real minter! I hope it goes to a good home.
Thanks Guillermo, lots more of these videos to come. Certainly was a joy to look at and drive and we really didn't want to sell it, so don't worry we made sure it went to a good home!
Miss mine! Thanks for the walk down memory lane! Now if I could just have Kathy sitting next to me again! ;-{
I've got a 79 z28 that's black with tan interior and two tone gold decals :)
I drove one when it was brand spankin' new almost daily. Step dad had one.
Oh the days! My older bro busted his ass to buy one of these. He was just 20 yrs old.He left his keys at the house while he went to watch a race at Talladega with his buds.Me at 16 seen his keys, and that shiny z28 in our driveway.I snatched them keys and fired that thing up.I went to every friend and girlfriend's house I knew.I had that z28 packed with 6 ppl in no time.I took it to the main strip in town with the t-tops out.I was the king for a moment.I nailed it coming out of a gas station and bounced into the median messing up the ground affects.I knew I fked up.I took everyone home and parked his car. When he got home I got my ass beat up bad.He was a former boxer too.So I both love and hate this z28 video.
I'm in love with this car now😍
I'd make love to the interior.
This car is a beast
That car looks amazing always take care of it!
I’m 18 and just bought a 2011 camaro 2ss wow wonder how it would’ve been to drive one these back then and too see other cars from that time as well
I had the same car back in the 80s....only whit white leather !!!!
Loved that car !!!!!
Just got one for my husband today and cant wait for him to test it out. Should be here in a few hours 😁
Hope you enjoy it!
Beautiful Camaro inside and out.
very nice ! that sound is just awesome. nothing compares to American Muscle, also that handling on the z/28 is nimble.
the sound is amazing! V8!
this is my dream car. I will own one of these some day!
This a rad asz rife. My mom drove a 79 until 96
that interior 😍😍😍
Can't beat a red interior!
Just listen to that beast.
Haha I know they guy who used to own that TVR, he has a red 350i now
Love that green interior.
The clicking turn signal. God bless it I miss it
You can always reinstall one in a new modern car no? I don’t know much about cars but I’m pretty sure that clicking is based on a switch that activates a relay. Essentially, that clicking noise is a relay clicking open and close based on the switch.
Sounds when closed door is so good
My dream car right there 1979 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 ❤
Really clean looking interior
Wowzers the interior.😍
That thing is mint I've got a 96 z28 same color
Wish they still looked this good
Love this classic car.
This is my dream car
I had a 79 black not a Z28 automatic that was good car n power was decent for a 305 4 barrel
My grandma used to have one of these in a beautiful blue. always wanted to restore it
