Man Alejandro's story really hit home for me, jiu jitsu also helped me get over a bad breakup. It feels like you'll never get over that much hurt, but BJJ has a way of taking your mind off things and focusing your energy in a positive way. Loved the vid guys, and congrats!

Damn. This video got me super emotional. I can't thank you guys enough for what you do. After I suffered a shoulder injury last summer I didn't think I would ever train again. Watching these videos and making that trip to Mt. Vernon gave me the inspiration I needed and I'm back on the mats now. And there's no place I'd rather be. I’m a cop in NC and I’ve been doing bjj for almost 5 years. Everything in me wants to drop my whole life, move to Mt. Vernon and be apart of this awesome family and train full time. There’s a whole new level I’ve never reached and I know I could really unlock my potential there. Just the thought of leaving everything scares the hell out of me.
I’d give it my all.

The story that hit most w/me was the guy with his daughter. I was the same way when my daughter was born. I continued to train with her & became a pro soccer player all while still training Jiu-jitsu on the side. It took me over 15 years, but I finally earned my purple belt. Whatever it takes & Bjj will always be' there for you. Go get em' boys & gals!!

Stumbled across the Daisy Fresh videos this weekend. Crazy you guys are like a hour away from my area.
I've realized for a while now that the best thing I can do with my life that I would consider successful is positively influencing those around me. It's awe-inspiring to see this gym and its owner do just that; the amount of respect shown to him by its members speaks volumes about his character and the type of community that has been created is just so cool -- congrats on the big win to these guys and can't wait to keep following what this gym does in the future!

BJJ has helped me a lot, through various bouts of homelessness and depression, and it helps seeing dudes open up about the trials in their lives too. It's something that so often we're taught to bottle up or push down, makes me feel proud to be here today and seeing these dudes who would fold me in seconds open up about their rocky lives too, fucking inspiring. My gym is only a few guys but we have a good tutor, Chris Paines.
