HOW TO MAKE EASY CARAMEL SAUCE IN 10 MIN OR LESS

You may multiply the proportions for larger batches.
1 cup white sugar
½ cup plain water
½ cup cream
1 tsp Vanilla extract or 1 tbsp vanilla flavour
Add 1/4 - 1/2 tsp of salt if you would like to make it salted caramel sauce
Directions:
Place your sugar into the sauce pan, shake to level the sugar at the bottom of the pan
Add the water
The sugar will naturally absorb the water. There is no need to stir.
Place the sauce pan on medium to high heat.
DO NOT STIR THE MIXTURE. Stirring will cause the sugar to crystallise.
Wait until the mixture turns golden brown. This could take up to 5 minutes.
Once it reaches the color that you are aiming for, turn the heat to low.
Stir the cream and vanilla mixture in.
Once the ingredients are well combined, let it boil for at least one minute then turn off the heat.
Let it cool down.

Is caramel sauce and syrup different? Which one to put in a cold brew coffee or caramel macchiato?
I just tried making it today and it turned out the perfect colour and flavour just like you showed in the video but then when it cooled down a bit it was a bit like hard and not like syrup consistency. Can you tell me what I should do to fix the consistency?

I tried this with my cold brew but it doesn't dissolve that well and just solidifies. Am I doing something wrong? This is when the syrup was still hot, which I thought would make it easier to mix

Homemade ones give the exact taste, nothing else. I would prefer using them than store bought. This is especially true for sugar syrup, vanilla and chocolate.

I would suggest you get them sugar-free ones, but yes, you should be able to make it sugar free.
I made this and it tastes awesome. But in the fridge it goes very thick. What can I do to think it out so I can pour it?
Hello, as I mentioned in the clip, you would have to thaw it out (take it out of the fridge for a bit) before using it. :-)

Just verifying, so the caramel sauce has shorter shelf life than the syrup- caramel syrup can be store up to 3 months not refirgerated.?

The sauce will harden when refrigerated. You should thaw before use. 😋
